But the outcos of his PhD studies were all credited to his advisor; he had to write his own papers, which ant he ended up like a ’swoosh’ at the end of the results, his na always listed last.
After graduating with his PhD, Li Rongmao hoped to stay and work at the Science Academy, and on Peng Engui’s suggestion, he continued working in the research and developnt group.
At that ti, Peng Engui promised him a promotion to associate researcher within a year, but almost two years had passed, and he had still not been promoted to associate researcher. If he waited another year for his contract to expire, he could leave as well.
Li Rongmao wasn’t worried about ’leaving’
In Peng Engui’s R&D group, his contribution to research and developnt was the greatest; he could be said to be the backbone of the group, with very strong experience and abilities. He knew Peng Engui definitely wouldn’t let him go and guessed that Peng would wait until the two-and-a-half-year mark to apply for his promotion to associate researcher.
Li Rongmao also felt indignant. His abilities and contributions were sufficient; in fact, he was qualified to be appointed as an associate researcher right after his PhD graduation. But what could he do?
Peng Engui was his direct superior, also an Academician at the Engineering Academy, and a heavyweight bigwig in the dostic field of alloy materials.
In others’ eyes, working with Peng Engui on a national key project was a once-in-a-lifeti opportunity. But in reality, he felt his contribution to the project was no less than Peng Engui’s.
"Ah..."
Li Rongmao sighed deeply.
At that mont, his phone suddenly received a ssage. Looking down, it was from an unfamiliar number, saying, "Excuse , is this Dr. Li Rongmao?"
Li Rongmao replied with confusion, "It is."
"Ring~~~"
The phone rang imdiately afterward.
Li Rongmao pressed the answer button and heard the voice from the other end say, "Dr. Li Rongmao, is it convenient for you to talk now?"
"It’s not a foreign power trying to recruit , is it..."
Li Rongmao glanced around cautiously to make sure there was no one else nearby before he said sternly, "I will not discuss any research-related content."
The person on the other end seed to pause for a mont, then finally said, "No, Dr. Li, you’ve misunderstood. I’m not trying to pry into your research."
"I am Shen Binghe, currently a lecturer and associate professor in the materials science departnt at Yanhua University and also the director of the newly-established tal materials laboratory, working with Academician Zhao Yi on the turbine blade research and developnt project."
Shen Binghe quickly said, "Our project involves improving nickel-iron alloys, not single crystal nickel, so it doesn’t conflict with your project. However, because the tal materials laboratory has just been established, we really need talent like yours."
"I have discussed this with Academician Zhao, and we both unanimously agree that you are the talent our laboratory needs and crucial for the turbine blade alloy research and developnt project."
"We would like to invite you to work at the tal materials laboratory and participate in our turbine blade alloy research and developnt project."
"You can rest assured, salary and benefits are all negotiable, and as for the academic title evaluation at the university... you must know Academician Zhao, right? He thinks highly of you. As long as he agrees, everything is negotiable..."
Shen Binghe didn’t even continue, as if bringing up Zhao Yi’s na ant no further explanations were needed.
Li Rongmao asked with curiosity, "Are you trying to recruit for the turbine blade project? To work with Academician Zhao?"
"Yes!"
"Salary, benefits..."
"All negotiable, Academician Zhao thinks highly of you."
"Hiss~~~"
Li Rongmao was in disbelief; he even thought the person on the other end might be a scamr. Could Academician Zhao even know who he was?
Impossible!
But the person didn’t seem like a scamr because a typical scamr wouldn’t know that Academician Zhao was working on a turbine blade project, let alone that the research direction involved nickel-iron alloys.
At that mont, footsteps ca from the corridor.
Knowing his colleagues were returning from lunch, Li Rongmao quickly whispered, "I’ll send you my email address, let’s contact via email."
