Discussions spread throughout the school, "What’s going on with the School of chanical Engineering’s experint building?"
"It seems to be the Power Engineering Laboratory, but why are there so many ard police going there? Could it be like the dical institute, where they made so major breakthrough?"
"It’s possible..."
"No matter what you guys say, I don’t believe it. Our college? Power Engineering Laboratory? A significant breakthrough?"
"I’m in there every day, and I’ll be honest with you guys. We’ve collaborated with the biology departnt to develop a dung beetle control technique that can make tens of thousands of dung beetles work together to provide enough power to run a car."
"This environntally friendly power source will likely replace oil and electric power in the future and beco the mainstream."
"Pfft- Dung beetles? Are you kidding ? Sure, it’s environntally friendly, but it stinks!"
"Enslaving cute little animals? I’m going to report this to the animal protection association!"
"..."
After the news spread, various opinions arose. So people made up ’cutting-edge technologies,’ while others claid that the Power Engineering Laboratory was in trouble or that it would undergo an upgrade and take on national large-scale projects in the future.
And so on.
The last statent was relatively more accurate.
Many professors from the School of chanical Engineering began to look forward to it. Like the School of Sciences, the School of chanical Engineering also hoped to grow and build a large research and developnt center.
That way, their research and teaching environnt would greatly improve.
Wang Gang held this view.
He didn’t know what exactly happened, and when he inquired about it, everyone said it was confidential. After so thought, he figured it might have sothing to do with ’research and developnt upgrades.’ Since the College of Life Sciences was building a dical center and the School of Sciences was building a Mathematical Center, it seed normal for the School of chanical Engineering to build a research center as well, right?
The School of Sciences also had its discussions.
Professors and teachers from the School of Sciences were talking about the Power Laboratory, but most people didn’t know about it and ca to ask Professor Zhou Li. However, Zhou Li didn’t inquire about it either, so he didn’t know what happened.
In the office, several teachers talked about it.
Hu Zhibin spoke the loudest, "I heard the School of chanical Engineering is going to build a research center with support from the school."
Soone imdiately questioned, "That’s impossible, right? Why would building a research center require confidentiality? And why all the ard police?"
"You don’t get it."
Hu Zhibin said, "I hear that they’re building the research center to participate in developing a large-scale project, and there’s so special equipnt that needs to be transported over."
"Who did you hear it from?" Zhou Li didn’t quite believe Hu Zhibin’s words.
Hu Zhibin affird, "I heard it when I went to the School of chanical Engineering. There’s so equipnt coming this afternoon. I don’t know what it is, but there are lots of ard police coming to protect it. I wonder if this will continue. Does our school plan to do so important research?"
"The School of chanical Engineering sure is lucky!"
"I think it’s probably because our institutes are doing well. They see developnt at the School of Sciences and the College of Life Sciences, and I heard that higher-ups are paying special attention to our school."
After Hu Zhibin said all this, he suddenly reacted, "Right, does Zhao Yi know about this?"
"Has anyone seen Zhao Yi?"
He dashed out of the office before even finishing his sentence, intending to find Zhao Yi and ask him in detail. Coincidentally, he saw Zhao Yi at the entrance.
Zhao Yi was just about to enter.
Hu Zhibin hastily asked, "Zhao Yi, do you know what’s happening at the School of chanical Engineering?"
"School of chanical Engineering? I attended Professor Wang Gang’s lecture a few days ago, and it was pretty good."
"Forget about the lecture! You don’t know?"
Hu Zhibin was suddenly invigorated, "There are so many ard police, and they say the School of chanical Engineering is building a research center and transporting large-scale equipnt... blah, blah, blah..." He finished saying the whole thing as they entered the small office.
Zhao Yi tidied up the docunts on the side and put the laptop on the desk away.
Hu Zhibin was puzzled, "What are you doing? Packing? Are you...?"
"Oh."
Zhao Yi nodded, "These are all basic books and materials related to chanical power, and this laptop is specifically for research in this area."
He then headed out.
Hu Zhibin asked in confusion, "Where are you going?"
"The Power Engineering Laboratory is located in the northwest corner of our campus, right? I think I’ve only been there once." Zhao Yi looked back and said, "So equipnt is being transported there, and I’m going to check it out."
Hu Zhibin stood agape for a long ti before catching up and asking, "Didn’t you just say you didn’t know?"
"When did I say that?"
Zhao Yi retorted and left quickly.
Hu Zhibin stood there for a long ti, thinking and eventually muttered, "He seed...not to have said it? But he didn’t say he knew either!" He went back to the office and talked about what just happened.
"Zhao Yi knows!"
"He said there’s equipnt being transported. It’s probably for research, right?"
"This matter concerns Zhao Yi, and since it’s confidential, we shouldn’t discuss it privately."
After a long rant, Hu Zhibin concluded ’we shouldn’t discuss it’ while the others in the office were holding back their laughter.
Damn mud!
Why say so much if we can’t discuss it!
Hu Zhibin ignored the people’s mocking. He continued with another topic, "I realized that Zhao Yi’s research is different from ours."
"What’s the difference?"
Zhou Li asked.
"The difference is huge." Hu Zhibin said seriously, "A while ago, I saw him reading basic books on chanics and power engineering. Now he’s already doing research? And he even got so equipnt transported by higher-ups..."
