Next to the materials departnt building was the research and developnt data center, where many mbers of the expert group were touring and learning about the data indicators of the various components of the under-construction aircraft carrier.
These mbers of the expert group all arrived yesterday afternoon. After a night’s rest, they visited the data center in the morning.
Among them were several mbers of the Academy of Engineering, and the others were top experts in various fields. They can be said to be the ’main force’ of the ’expert group’, whereas Zhao Yi and Zhang Hongtao were invited by the ’designated departnts and R&D groups’ and did not arrive with the main group.
After the expert group toured the data center, they could each go to their respective field’s research and developnt departnt. So people even started discussing Zhao Yi.
Huang Hongwei, an expert in automated design, was walking out with Chen Zhang, surrounded by a few people. During their light-hearted conversation, he suddenly asked, "I heard that Zhao Yi, Academician Zhao, is also here, right?"
An assistant guiding the group, who was also in charge of the expert group, responded, "Yes, he was specially invited by Academician Ma."
"Academician Ma Mingwei? His team is working on the electromagnetic catapult, right?" Huang Hongwei had so understanding of this area and mused, "They probably asked Zhao Yi to take a look at their software system."
Others also joined the discussion. "That seems right."

Huang Hongwei had never heard of him before. He laughed and shook his head before saying, "Zhao Yi must not have been prioritized. But it makes sense. He specializes in theory, and when it cos to theory, he’s one of the top nas internationally. However, in terms of application, he’s still too young."
Soone agreed, "Right, Academician Zhao is a theoretical expert, but practical application and theory are two different matters."
"Practical technology requires a lot of experience."
"Building an aircraft carrier doesn’t require particle theory. Zhao Yi being here must make him feel idle. I guess there aren’t any projects here he could participate in."
"Right really..."
Huang Hongwei laughed as he listened to the people agreeing with him and said, "Let’s go take a look and get acquainted with him. I’ve never seen him in person."
