"Moreover, the task you assigned to to study the Space-Ti Particles and the World-Ending White Light, I couldn’t trust anyone else with it, so I have been conducting it secretly myself."
"Including the secret base here... No, it’s also an underground shelter. I bought the entire land of Brooklyn, and I make the plans here, all to better protect this underground shelter from being discovered by others."
"So, this place is now called Old Brooklyn and belongs to ; to the north, they’ve established New Brooklyn, the official administrative district."
Seeing the aged Jask.
Lin Xian beca increasingly aware that Gao Wen’s concerns might not be unfounded.
Should there co a day.
When human technology reaches a critical point—
A scholar needs to spend over 100 years, an entire lifeti, to learn all the knowledge of a specific field, each sub-branch, and only then can continue further research...
What future does humanity have?
Lin Xian temporarily dismissed such distant thoughts, looking at Jask:
"I heard you’ve made a breakthrough in Space-Ti Particle research, what exactly is it?"
Jask nodded:
"Do you rember the question you posed to before winter hibernation? You said that on the one hand, we needed to verify whether the World-Ending White Light truly exists; on the other hand, we had to find a way to uncover the truth behind it."
"The biggest challenge at the ti was that the fastest speed in the universe is the speed of light; no speed, including observation and information transmission speeds, surpasses the speed of light, so this was an impossible proposition."
"Unless... [we can make our observation speed and information transmission speed exceed the speed of light.]"
Exceed the speed of light?
Lin Xian squinted his eyes.
He had just said nothing can surpass the speed of light, and now he said it could be surpassed.
Isn’t that a contradiction?
But since Jask dared to say this, it ant he had found a way.
"Is it feasible?" Lin Xian asked.
"It’s still that Entangled State of Ti-Space Particle that gave inspiration."
Jask pointed at Lin Xian:
"Think about it, Lin Xian, you previously traveled to 1952 and then returned to 2234; didn’t the information observation and transmission you brought along constitute a form of superluminal speed?"
Lin Xian found so sense in it:
"Theoretically, it does. To reach 2234 from 1952 by light would take nearly 300 years, but I managed to bring the observation of information from 1952 to centuries ahead in an instant."
"However, now the Entangled State of Ti-Space Particle no longer exists, and the observation of the World-Ending White Light and ti travel should be two different matters, right? Can there be any connection?"
Jask chuckled, wagging his finger:
"They are indeed not the sa, but understanding them is the sa concept. The real inspiration I got is from... [entanglent]."
"You’ve heard of the ancient concept of quantum entanglent, right? It’s the earliest imaginary experint for superluminal communication, even cross-universe communication."
"The Entangled State of Ti-Space Particle you used indeed showed us the possibility of instant synchronized information transmission. Despite the disappearance of the only Entangled State of Ti-Space Particle... can we, though, artificially entangle two normal Space-Ti Particles?"
Jask stretched out his two fists.
Opening them together, then clenching them, his eyes were set alight, looking at Lin Xian:
"I did it."
Lin Xian took a deep breath:
"Did you create an Entangled State of Ti-Space Particle!?"
What kind of Creator’s technology is this!
"No, no, no."
Jask said cautiously:
"I made two ordinary Space-Ti Particles entangle, not created an Entangled State of Ti-Space Particle, there’s a big difference between the two statents."
"An Entangled State of Ti-Space Particle is entwined together as one entity, inseparable; while two ordinary particles achieving entanglent can be separated at will, providing a possibility for superluminal communication over ultra-long distances!"
"The most valuable part is that this form of entanglent can be in a one-to-many mode, where one Space-Ti Particle can entangle with many other Space-Ti Particles, synchronously receiving multiple ssages!"
Lin Xian understood.
This is akin to a walkie-talkie chanism; once entangled, a Space-Ti Particle acts as a walkie-talkie.
However.
This walkie-talkie communication is instantaneous, far exceeding the speed of light.
Even if the two walkie-talkies are located at the opposite ends of the universe, they can make calls without delay.
"I understand your plan."
Lin Xian guessed Jask’s intention:
"You believe that the World-Ending White Light does not originate from within Earth, but rather... from outer space."
"So, [instead of waiting for the 2624 World-Ending White Light to descend, you’re planning to launch probes at the White Light to make early contact, to verify and study it.]"
Snap!
Though aged, Jask has a youthful heart; he snapped his fingers, posed in a mischievous manner like in an old movie:
"Exactly, you get ! It’s such a crazy plan! I want to observe the World-Ending White Light ahead of ti from several light-years, maybe even tens of light-years away!"
"Although I’m not sure if the World-Ending White Light is indeed an extraterrestrial attack, conducting this experint could prove it."
"The rockets equipped with Space-Ti Particle detectors are unmanned, so we don’t need to worry about deceleration and safety, just accelerate with full force! Infinitely accelerate! At least achieving up to 50% of the speed of light!"
"Thus, we only need to wait 10 years after these rockets launch; we can utilize the entangled instant communication of Space-Ti Particles to real-ti observe the universe 5 light-years away! Similarly, in 40 years, we can observe the universe 20 light-years away; in 100 years, we can observe the universe 50 light-years away!"
Jask beca more and more excited as he spoke, almost making his aged body jump up.
This was indeed a crazy plan.
It indeed matched his style.
However...
The idea is good, but is it feasible to implent?
Lin Xian raised the most concerning question:
"The universe is vast, not only are we unsure if the World-Ending White Light cos from the universe, we don’t know the exact direction it cos from, so in which direction will your rockets launch?"
"All of them!"
Jask’s gaze was firm, answering without hesitation:
"Since we need to investigate and verify, we will launch in all directions! Over the years, I’ve been detecting and capturing Space-Ti Particles; benefiting from the developnt of aerospace technology, all counted, including the one in Einstein’s oven... I have a total of 23 Space-Ti Particles."
"Aside from leaving one on Earth as a receiver, the remaining 22 will all be entangled with this one receiver, then packed into rockets as probes."
He raised his hands high.
Gazing at the bright ceiling of the underground shelter, as if looking at the brilliant galaxy:
"[22 probes carrying Space-Ti Particles will head towards the deep expanse of the universe from 22 directions!] "
"[If that World-Ending White Light truly is an extraterrestrial attack... we will see it beforehand!] "
