The very next month, the first thing Whittaker did after waking up was to use the spirit flowers he got for Nina to hasten Katherine recovery. He had received the quest to help Katherine the very first ti he ca in contact with the Spirit Flower. Besides, he also wants to help Katherine, as she will be able to provide answers to a lot of his questions.
"Noah, how long will it take for her to wake up?"
Previously, Katherine needed around a year to recover and wake up from her slumber, but now it should take a lot less ti for her to recover.
Anywhere from 4 to 8 months. It's all up to how fast she subconsciously obtains the spirit essence contained in the spirit flowers. But I can confidently say that Katherine will wake up by next winter." Noah replied, and Whittaker gripped the pendant of night in his hands, and he looked outside the window, staring at the brightening morning skies that were slightly cloudy.
'I hope you will be able to provide answers to questions.' Whittaker though before looking at the quest bar.
"Except for two, I have completed all the quests. To complete the first one, I need to obtain 1000 units of soul force.' Whittaker looked at his stats screen. 'I only have a pitiful 50 points.'
It was a boring process to increase the amount of soul force. He only gets one soul force every hour he spends ditating. He needed to ditate for 950 hours before he can complete the remaining quest. Nevertheless, the rewards of the remaining quest was too good to pass. He will be able to instantly equip all his equipnt. This was super handy in tis of need. Not to ntion, Noah's battle assistance mode and the Night's shop will also be accessible.
"It will take a total of 40 days of ditation but there are helpful items that increase soul force. Similarly, elixir that increase soul force must also exist. I will wait for Lord Dark Spirit to wake up. Next ti I et him, I must ask for such an elixir."
Lord Dark Spirit seed to be knowledgeable about elixir. The Mana channel opening elixir was impressive enough, and Whittaker believed that Lord Dark Spirit will have so similar overpowered elixirs.

Nina said, "You will need to mash up whatever you are cooking into a fine paste, and use both mana and battle energy to reshape it. When it cos to at, you will be lting the food without burning it, and reshaping it by using pure mana or battle force into what you like, but rember, food is like art and presentation matters."
While saying this, Nina showed a demonstration of the Phoenix rebirth cooking technique to Whittaker. She lted the fine honey cow at before reshaping it by using pure mana and battle energy.

"Is there a special reason behind it?" He asked.
"It's to keep the balance. The ratio of mana and battle energy can't be more than 70% to 30% and vice versa or else the food will break down or even disintegrate into thin air. You can think of it as failed rebirth."
"Okay, I will be fine as long as the ratio of mana and battle energy is between 30% to 70%, right?"
"Yes! You should start practicing it but first, eat the breakfast before it gets cold." Nina said, she handed over eggs, beans and Bacon to Whittaker.

After eating the al, Whittaker morning tiredness washed off and he was ready to train as a magic chef. The fire lit up as he started to create a dish for the very first ti.

"These mana channels are really a unique aspects of the human body. Magical beasts have different amount of mana channels I believe that humans might be similar in this aspects. So human might have more mana channels than the others, while the rest less but ten mana channels is the limit." Zachary said.
Last night, he have been experinting with and tying out new things that he could do after opening mana channels. While Whittaker was not as lucky to do so, as he was tired and rested the night. The next morning, he turned to train and learn the Phoenix rebirth cooking technique.
"Did you have other findings?" Whittaker asked.
"Mana channel brings about another benefit. My body can now be cloaked with mana. I call it Empowering body with Mana. It has supportive, offensive and defensive purposes." Elder Zachary demonstrated it by cloaking his fist with mana. His fist shone in blue.
Then, he asked Whittaker to hit his hand. Whittaker poured few units of battle energy into his fist and punched out.
Bam! His powerful punch was grabbed by Zachary's hand empowered by mana.
"Wow, I feel like I am punching a mage who is protected by a thick layer of mana skin."
Whittaker felt fascinated with the new way mana can be used to empower body, and it's all possible because of opening mana channels.
"Yes, and there is more to it. As you can see, this ans two things. First of all, I didn't use hand signs or any type of chanting, I simply moved the mana through my mana channels to clock my body with mana. In a sense, this is equivalent to silent chanting to empower the body. Secondly, the strength of my punch has increased by a lot of tis. I believe it is possible to engage in a fierce battle with high-rank battle master after cloaking the entire body with mana!"
"I think I can also do that, I will give it a try," Whittaker said, and he then started to concentrate in moving the mana in his mana channels, and just like Zachary said, the mana in mana channels moved according to his will, and soon surrounded his fist in it.
