The Holy Light was a weapon created by using the blessing of the God of light. The defense and regeneration of the corrupted ones were too impressive. Physical attacks and magic were ineffective against them as the corrupted ones were surrounded by chaotic malignant aura.
Strong Physical and magical attacks that can disperse the malignant sura could effectively hurt them but their regeneration was almost unbelievable. They healed faster than they were damaged. Thus, physical attacks and magic were deed useless against the corrupted ones. Of all the elents, only the elent of light was dealing effective damage to the corrupted ones. The light spells were natural bane of the corrupted ones, and they couldn't heal the wounds caused by light. The holy light was ten tis more damaging to evil creatures than the elent of light.
The holy light was also effective in dispersion of curses and could also purge a body of all curses. In the past, Zachary had paid a huge sum to purchase holy light from the church of light. The holy light indeed cleared up the curse in his body, but it could not annihilate the source of the curse hiding in the sealed tenth mana channel. The holy light proved ineffective in removing the curse in his body, and most of the remaining holy light was used in Elder Zachary's experint to create a weapon that amplifies the damage of Holy Light.
The weapon is called Light of Hope. At full power, it could annihilate an entire city!
Nina had full authority over this war weapon. She have never used it before, now luckily, the ti to use it has co.
"Annihilate!" Nine pressed her hand on the holographic screen floating in front of her. A red light scanned her hand print and then an automatic prompt popped up.

Glittering bright and white divine light shone out of the spell matrix and rained down on the black egg.
Instantly, a miserable roar could be heard echoing out of the black egg. The image of the corrupted one materialized to fight off against the holy light.
Startled by the sudden appearance of the corrupted one, Whittaker's pupils contracted a little.
The corrupted one was surrounded by chaotic malignant aura. The malignant aura was holding its own against the Holy Light. There were countless eyes on its shadowy mangled body. The eyes were as dark as the abyss.
This was the first ti Whittaker get to take a real look at the corrupted one. His Silver icy eyes stared at the abyssal dark eyes. Instantly, murmuring filled his head and evil thoughts filled his minds. Red filled his eyes, and his breathing turned ragged as he tried to resist the temptation to commit evil. However, the thought of murder continued to blind the eyes of the young boy.
This didn't escape Nina's and Elder Zachary's attention. Nina imdiately placed her hands on his eyes and clarity returned to Whittaker's mind.
"What just happened. I was thinking of killing you both and myself and" Whittaker felt disturbed, such evils thoughts it couldn't possibly be him.
"The corrupted one tried to enslave you. Don't look at its eyes, or you will lose your sanity," Nina said.
The corrupted one was too strong. It could corrupt Whittaker even though it was in a separate boundary.
Once corrupted, a person lose all their sanity. They get consud by bloodlust. The only thought a corrupted person have is to kill!
"Hmph! This corrupted one really had a lot of tricks up their sleeves. Nothing less expected of a demon." Elder Zachary felt angered. Because his precious student had suffered under the corrupted one hand, he wanted to hurriedly annihilate it. "Nina, increase the output of the Holy light to 20%!"
"As you command!" Nina said. She didn't consider it to be a waste of resources, as the corrupted one needs to be killed fastly.
The malignant aura surrounding the corrupted one was destroying the boundary. From the looks of it, the boundary will be destroyed in a few minutes. Then, killing the corrupted one will be harder. Thus, she increased the output of holy light to 20%.
The corrupted one was able to hold its own against 1% of the total output. However, it was instantly pushed to its knees when the output of holy light increased to 20%. And it was being lted at an incredible speed.
The corrupted one was a mindless being. It's only reason for existence being killing. but it wasn't willing to go down without a fight. It imdiately stretched open its mouth revealing all its hideous fangs. A beam of chaotic malignant force condensed and projected from its mouth. The powerful malignant beam pushed by the holy light by a bit. But that was all it did.
The holy light was as fast as the speed of light and it was projected towards the corrupted one. Similarly, the strength of the holy light was powerful enough to burn it. The wounds could not be regenerated either.
Gahhh!
Before death the corrupted one murderously glared at them. However, this ti Whittaker didn't look at its eyes, as he have learned his lesson. Elder Zachary evaded its gaze of corruption. Whereas, Nina sternly glared back. She wasn't a human but a body condensed out of pure mana. She was the purest of existence and the gaze of corruption didn't hold a silver against her.
Upon death, the corrupted one turned into black dust.
The curse of Abaddon was a special one. This curse plants a seed inside the tenth mana channel. This seed absorbs a person's vitality to grow and beco stronger. Then, it stretches its tentacles of darkness from the mana channels into the body. If the corruption spreads throughout the body then the person will beco Abaddon's vessel!
Thankfully, Elder Zachary have regularly purified his body from the curse, and although he couldn't do anything against the source of the curse till now, his actions proved worthwhile.
The curse that have inhabited him have finally been eradicate from existence.
This was a good news!
"I want to announce another piece of good news." Elder Zachary announced after the corrupted one was killed.
"What is it?" They curiously stared at him.
"The space in the middle of the eyebrows is undoubtedly the spirit room!" Zachary announced his founding. "I can now beco a twilight walker and find a way to step into the spirit world. One day, I will step into the spirit world and locate my wife's soul."
"I hope you the best of luck!"
"Congratulations! Father, I will wait for your return to the awakened continent with mother!"
Whittaker and Nina congratulated him. Now, Zachary didn't want to die. He wants to live and find a way to the spirit world. After that, he will locate his wife's soul, and return to the awakened Continent with her.
"Elder, you can take this to beco a battle master. This will help you in your adventures. Besides, I only need two awakening stone for mother Lin and brother Hera." Whittaker said. He was offering a awakening stone to the old man. He will beco powerful and be able to face adverse situation, after all.
"No need. You should keep them. Don't think I am refusing because of no reason. I was planning on giving you the heart of hope. However, now that I have recovered and opened my spirit room, I will use that divine treasure on myself," Elder Zachary said.
"Heart of Hope!" Whittaker eyes opened wide and his mouth gaped. "Elder, you are already too old. Why don't you just give it to ?"
The heart of hope was a godly treasure. It would imdiately push to high-rank mage!
"Pff!" Nina said as she saw Whittaker's funny face.
"Nope!" Zachary declined and used teleportation to run away from Whittaker's upcoming endless pestering.
Whittaker's face deflated as he felt betrayed by his teacher.
He would have obtained the heart of Hope if he didn't give Elder Zachary the mana channel opening pill!
Whittaker felt as he have lifted a hamr just to strike himself.
But he would do the sa if he returned back in ti, as the life of his teacher was more precious than a divine treasure.
"Yawn~I am feeling tired so I will go back to sleep. Goodnight." Whittaker said to Nina.
"I will send you back." Nina replied before a spatial gateway opened up. Walking through it, Whittaker returned to his room for a good sleep.
