As the chi from the rustling wind echoed, Marina, who sat beside Jin, began to open her mouth.

"Okay, Jin. Do you know what magic is?".

Jin crossed his hands, his gaze down, trying to search his mory of the basic Magic he read in a book.

"Um, It was like this. Magic was a phenonon of when soone altered a reality using the mana that circulates within one's own body to create a small miracle...". He paused for a mont before continuing. "...Magic was divided into three categories, which is Elental magic that we practice earlier, Non-attribute magic where every living person with mana can use it if trained, and last but not least, the Unique magic that is also called original magic for it only appeared within an individual and possessed unique power different from the two I were ntioned earlier".

"Hm, you are right. You already have the theory right".

When he was studying in the usual library, Jin stumbled upon a book that taught him about the basic knowledge of how to use Magic for beginners. Feeling interested because he had never seen sothing like Magic in his previous world, Jin studied it.

He rembers every word and feels a bit excited about the small miracle that a human could possess and how amazing it would be if he could use it. At that ti, Jin had no deep interest in Magic for he believed that he could learn it along with his growth.

However, things changed, and Jin had no other way to focus on this field and reach a higher level to survive the fate that would be forced upon him.

"What's next? Do you still rember the word in the book?".

"Hmm, the First step to using magic is to feel the mana inside your body and then have a clear image before manifesting it into reality."

"Huuf, truly, you are too clever for a boy around your age". Marina sighed in resignation, but one could see just how proud and joyful she was, seeing her clever boy.

"Thank you, Mother".

"Lend your hand, both of them!".

Jin did as his mother told him and extended both his hands. Then, he felt a soft and warm grip from his mother's hand. His body tense for a mont, but upon seeing her other chuckle, Jin loosened his strength.

"Alright, close your eyes and focus!".

Once darkness swallowed his sight, Jin's mind started to wander around before he could feel sothing warm seeping from his connected hands. Like a flowing stream, the warmth spread to his body before it settled in his heart.

*Thump!

Jin could hear a loud thumping inside his body and realized that the warmth that settled down in his heart began to spread to all his veins, clenching it and giving his body a refreshing feeling.

"Do you feel it?". Marina's small whispering prompts Jin to open his eyes.

"Yes, is this mana?".

"Yeah".

Slowly, with a reluctant expression on her face, Marina separated her connected hands and began to see a faint white aura begin to cloak her son's body. As a mage who specialized in the mastery of Magic, Marina could see soone else mana level around their body within a glance.

"Now try to circulate it yourself! And if possible, try to stabilize your leaking mana".

"...Yes, Mother".

Marina, who thought it was too absurd for soone Jin's age, felt a bit regretful after giving that instruction. However, her wishful thinking was shattered as she saw Jin with his eyes closed, slowly stabilizing his breathing, and the leaking mana that cloaked his body started to beco thinner before it settled around his skin.

'Jin you'. She couldn't help but gasp upon watching the process. Marina glanced at her side and saw that Irena had bloated eyes like hers.

"How was that mother?".

"Hm? Yeah, you are good. As expected of my son!".

"I see; thank you, Mother!".

"Okay, let's move on to the next step, visualizing and manifesting, but there is sothing more important than that, which is Control".

"Control?" Jin, who had heard the term for the first ti, tilted his head and racked his brain to see if there was a flaw in his mories.

"Listen, Jin, No matter what good your visualization is, if you don't have good control over your mana, nothing good will happen".

His mother's warning seeped through his skull, making Jin gulp his saliva and fidget about his mistake. He began to note the mana control in his heart as a reminder of his lack of preparation.

"I understand!".

"Good, now let demonstrate so magic for you".

Marina nodded her head and began to place her palms together before Jin. Her green eyes shone under the golden light of the sun, and her blazing hair fluttered away, carrying a flowery scent that filled Jin's heart with warmth.

From her palm, Jin could feel sothing invisible start to gather at a slow pace. Slowly, as the image began to reform in her mother's mind, a spark flickered, and it blazed through, becoming a stable fire.

The heat that transferred to his skin and the hot air that filled his lungs loosened his facial muscles, making him smile. 'Magic, that is so cool!'.

"Fireball!".

Marina uttered those words for Jin to hear, and the fire on her palms started to swirl and increase in size, forming a perfectly round small sun.

"Disperse!".

After that, the blazing ball started to fade. It dissipated into scattering fire trails that left a lingering warmth for Jin, who still couldn't part with it. Marina looked forward to seeing her son's disappointed face, and she parted her lips.

"Now you try it!".

"Okay!".

"Don't forget to control your output! Are we clear?".

"Yes!".

Jin started closing his eyes; he began to imagine a clump of balls made from compressed wind in his palm. He raised both palms and started to control the flow of the mana in his body toward the tips of his fingers.

"Good, you are doing great!".

With his mother's encouragent, Jin poured a bit more mana into his palm. After he felt that was enough, Jin started to imagine a wind beginning to gather and slowly manifested it into reality.

Marina and Irena, who watched Jin do his practice, utterly stiffened as they felt the flow of the atmosphere begin to shift. Cool breezes caressed their cheeks in a twitch, and they saw a swirling vortex begin to form around Jin's palm before it rounded up into a compressed ball of wind.

Jin slowly fluttered his eyes open and looked toward his palms to see his practice bore fruit. 'I'm glad it did well. Pfft, but this shape...'. He chuckled to see the shape of his wind magic was the sa as the Ninja character he read in Manga back ten in his previous life.

"How was it, mother?".

"...Yeah, you did good".

Then, under his mother's tutoring, Jin resud his practice until the sky turned blazing orange. They decided to end their training and resu the next day.

Later that night, Jin, who had finished his dinner with his family, was now sitting on the sofa in his room, deep in thought about tomorrow's practice. He didn't have any regrets about choosing Katana as the main weapon.

However, in tomorrow's practice, Jin, who is supposed to have no knowledge about any Kenjutsu style, suddenly shows off his skills, which would invite trouble.

"What should I do?".

When he was deep in thought, he heard his room being knocked several tis.

"Yes, who is it?".

"It's , Jin". A deep voice reverberated behind the door, prompting Jin to stand up and advance toward it.

"Father? Is there anything you like to do?".

"No, I just...".

Seeing his father's unusual flustered figure. Jin's eyes landed on a book that his father held in hand, and a wooden sword called Bokuto.

"Father, those are?".

"Yeah, right. Here for tomorrow's practice! Uncle Joseph tweaked a bit of leftover wood from his workshop and made you this. What was it again? Is it a Bokuto?".

"Thank you, Father".

Jin received both gifts from his father and then looked toward the book in his hand. Feeling curious, he opened the cover only to find a book title that made his eyes wide.

"Father, this is?".

"Ah, right, sorry about this. I intend to ask so of my connections to search for a guy who could teach you the way of the sword. But I found no one, and instead, I only got the manual book". Ryan scratches his cheek, flustered over his failure to find soone for his son's teacher.

Without a proper answer, Jin rushed ahead and hugged his father's waist so tight, telling him how much he was happy and felt guilty at the sa ti.

"Thank you, Father. This is enough, and I'm sorry for the trouble I caused you".

"What a silly mouth you have. This is not trouble at all. You are my son, and of course, I will do my utmost to support which path you will take."

Ryan's gentle console and the way he caressed Jin's head tenderly made Jin's eyes glitter from the accumulating tears. He reluctantly separated from his father and showed his determined gaze.

"Tomorrow, practice; I will be counting on you, Father".

"Likewise, Jin".
