Turmoil spilled upon the Wizengamot session as the Light and Dark factions began countering one another's statents. Augusta Longbottom was swearing up a storm and calling upon the august body to imdiately dedicate the best Aurors and Hit Wizards to discovering Bellatrix Lestrange. Lucius Malfoy was oddly enough agreeing with her, his serpent-headed cane clasped within his hands tightly as he called for a similar motion. Sirius looked extrely pained at the ntion of his forr favourite family mber. The rest of the Lords and Ladies lay sowhere in between these two sides, so for and against... Ultimately it was a shit show and after two hours of nonsensical codswallop the session's deliberation floundered into indecision, the decision to be made at the end of the week.
Afterward there was very little discussion within the chambers as Sirius and Harry strode out of the room rather swiftly, Lord Black; Sirius, proceeding towards the exit at a pace that would put the best speed-walkers to sha. I shook my head whilst following behind, none of the Lords and Ladies willing to approach out in public for fear of provoking or disclosing their own ambitions. I was fine with that.
Following Sirius out we eventually stopped within the Atrium, privacy spells erecting around us as Harry stared at with a mixture of shock, excitent and discomfort. His next words were rather expected given the blessing I had bequeathed upon him...
"Why didn't you ask about this?" His tone was strong and worried, the entire façade belied by the fact that a grin was splitting his attempt at a stoic expression.
"You are already my apprentice... As is Hermione. Why do you think I have been teaching spell-craft to you? Not to ntion that you accepted that training." His blush was soon covered up by Sirius who interposed himself in-between us, his eyes staring into mine.
"Not to be an absolute ass..." Harry snickered at his words resulting in an upturn of Padfoot's lips, "But why are you helping us both so much?" Silence descended upon our conversation as the two of them stared down. My apprentice and distant relative; by blood, in curiosity, whilst Sirius was sequestering his trust and acceptance within his experience of betrayal.
I Sighed.
"Harry and I are technically relatives. Cousins so to speak." They both gaped at .
"My na is Freya Bragisdottir... However... I have connections to many magical families."
Sirius gulped as Harry leaned forwards.
"What bloodlines?"
My smile turned nacing as the two of them were lured into the clutches of curiosity. They reminded of my mother when she would discover sothing new about Viking history or with regards to the gods. I ntally shook the mory loose, trying to refocus on the mont.
"Let us see... I am a LeFay." Harry smiled brightly at the direct connection with his own distant lineage. "An Emyrs, a descendent of rlin Sirius." I cleared up his montary confusion. "A Corvinus, A Sekht, Of the Lung-Xue Bloodline, The Thalassari Bloodline, The Pele'kai Bloodline, belonging to the Luxmancer Bloodline, Forged from the Ifritari Bloodline and bound within the bloodline of Hoshiryuu." Their eyes glazed over halfway through, Sirius awaking after I stopped for a mont.
"So, you are related to Harry..." I couldn't help a chuckle escaping my lips at his rather befuddled and perplexed expression. He didn't give a shit about all the extra bloodlines. Even Harry was akin to a fish out of water with bloodlines.
"Talk to Hermione about it. If she doesn't know, she can at least tell you what they relate to." Harry nodded before I continued.
"Oh, and I am also technically a Black." Sirius just looked at with no shift of expression and little to no change in posture. He was taking this extrely well apparently, or perhaps he was just going along with it at this point.
Unfortunately for the man he would be unable to further the conversation as Augusta beelined straight for us, Harry poking his godfather from his shock. She dragged both of them away, her eyes tracking for a ti before rounding upon the two Blacks, their attentions quickly shifting from to the old woman who was blowing a gasket.
'Hmmm, I guess I'll go to St.Mungo's.'
...
Ten Minutes Later...
I arrived at the critical care ward within the magical Hospital. It was a rather depressing ward as it slt heavily of disinfectant and nurous dubious potion scents lingered around several of this floor's patients.
Strutting through the perfectly white hall between the cordoned off bedrooms I found myself moving past a couple nurses, their light green robes and white masks bringing a lightness that alluded the bone-white hallway.
My perception filter spell was a wonder of magic. Their attention slid off of as if I were rely a part of the environnt, an insignificant decoration, as if I were the room itself. Shaking my head I slowly wondered from room to room.
There were hundreds of patients. Almost all of them were in comas, natural or otherwise, and many could be seen to slowly deteriorating. Within several months many of these people, young and old, would die grueso deaths or simply fade away without their consciousness coming back to them. This was how death was, I knew it, but It still made feel as if I could be doing better for the few that would gain my attention.
Finally after draping myself in sombre thought I ca across the room of Neville's parents. Frank and Alice Longbottom were layed upon the beds, their faces completely blank of all emotion as their eternal sleep festered within them as an infection would. Slowly and carefully I walked up to their beds.
They looked peaceful, physically. ntally they were chaotic, scared, frightened, pained, hurt, worried... All of the emotions that one could or would feel after being tortured or being promised torture in their near future. Thoughts swirled past my mind like adverts within an online browser, with the adblocker turned on... They were quick and torturous. The stupid doctors had sealed them away within each other's minds so that they would suffer the effects of the Cruciatus constantly. An enormous mistake, an negligent mistake... A vile and depressing error.
'No one should suffer this.' My morals, though bent and warped by my Fey nature and my excessive amount of power, would not stand for this. This was the equivalent of killing a puppy in my eyes, worse, it was as if soone had taken satisfaction from torturing a couple puppies... This was the level of horror that they were experiencing every second.
"I will heal you both now."
'System...'
[Done]
A golden glow sourced from the sunlight drifting through the stained window encompassed the two parents. Their minds shuddered as darkness suddenly desiccated before their minds-eyes as the power of the sun slowly flittered through their deeply scarred psyches. In an instant that gold was filled with the images of several gas, many of which I began playing within my mind. It was a prerequisite to the usage of such powerful divine based magics, I would acquiesce to my chosen domain's given activity to call upon certain miracles or powers.
In much the sa way Odin sacrificed his eye for Wisdom... He did not kneel before the three sisters of fate, no, he enacted that which was his domain. WAR. The nine realms weren't conquered for shits and giggles... They were held dominion over and butchered into submission all to sate the demand of his request, to allow him to beco a father to male heirs. And now, I was enacting a very minor miracle in order to bring a child's parents back to his life and allow them to pick up the pieces of their lives.
"Ace of Spades A♠ and King of Hearts K♥, take that fucker." I dropped my hand within the Blackjack ga and smiled victoriously as the ga slowly faded. Another ga slowly rose, this ti being a mission within Warfra. Half an hour later I completed the mission, the Extremus Boss mob falling dead as my vision gathered once more upon the two unconscious bodies of Neville's mother and father.
The golden light buzzed at the completion of my task, the light rging with the bodies as their minds smoothed out and healed. Their bodies were repaired back to the optimal state of health as their physical ages reversed to those of their younger selves, back before they were put unconscious.
A low groan erged from Frank's mouth as his eyes cracked open, his wife joining him as her eyelashes slapped her skin every few seconds as they both got their bearings. A smile gathered upon my face as I shut off the perception spell, the two of them turning to look at with confusion upon their faces.
"Ughhh, what's going on...?"
I grinned as several glasses shattered upon the ground behind .
"Hello, It is nice to et you both. I am the one who healed you from your torture." The two parents grimaced simultaneously, Alice beginning to sob as Frank tried his best to keep a cool façade for his wife.
"MUM! DAD!" Neville crunched glass beneath his boots as he rushed past and collapsed into the open arms of his mother and father, the two of them tightly grasping him in sorrow and happiness.
"We're here son."
"We are here baby, we'll always be here for you..."
I calmly watched the family reunion with a warm feeling bubbling within my heart. This was nice. To see a child so happy from seeing his parents once more, was more of a miracle than the one I had just perford.
Frank stared directly in the eyes and flashes of a ritual erged within my consciousness... 'What the fuc-'
...
October 30th, 2002...
"What do you an Jas?"
"We are being hunted by Voldemort. He is chasing us down due to a prophecy! Harry is in the firing line and we can't continue the way that we are..."
There was a pause in the conversation.
"So you're going to do so mad space-ti ritual to try and escape him!?"
"Frank... The ritual isn't mad, it is a stasis ritual that was used by the Peverells several centuries ago. It can store us away for a set amount of ti before we get released again."
"Just leaving us to deal with the Dark Lord..."
Jas grimaced.
"No... Never that... Just until such a ti that you or Alice could co and free us."
"Jas, when has it ever been that simple?"
"Hehe, you didn't say that when you went and asked Alice out on a date!"
"S-stop, stop..." Frank drove off the elbows of Jas Potter, " Fine! Fine... Just try to do it by tomorrow midnight, okay?"
"We will mate... We will. Harry is too young to be dragged into the adults' ss. It's the only reason we're doing it."
They sipped their drinks as their wives spoke to one another near-to the fireplace in their house in Godric's Hollow.
"Will you tell Sirius, Remus or Pettigrew?"
"I've left them secret ssages in mine and Lily's wills should anything go wrong. Hopefully they can piece together the individual clues. It was a counterasure we added in case anything happens to you two..."
"That's very sneaky, but also convoluted... Are you sure they'll be able to decipher it?"
"Yeah! So long as they all are present or at the very least, know about each other's history, then they can figure it out."
"I don't like this one bit Prongs."
"I'm sorry mate, but I have to do this for my family."
"Well, you have my full support then."
Jas clapped the back of Frank Longbottom as they walked over to their wives, their two sons crawling around in a giggling fit as they tried to attack one another to no avail. Lily turned to her Husband, concern etched across her face.
"We good Jas?"
"Fine Lils, got everything sorted out!"
They both smiled as Harry lifted a toy from his nearby cot using only his will upon his nascent magic.
"Hahaha, my kids gonna be fucking epic!"
Lily slapped her husband up the side of the head.
"Don't swear in front of the kids!!!" Her voice hissed in the secret language of snakes as Frank, Jas and Alice laughed, knowing what she said despite lacking an understanding of the language.
Jas winced and flinched back, the smile plastered across his face not reaching his eyes as he looked at his son playing in front of them all.
...
'H-holy fuck...'
"Jas and Lily Potter aren't dead..."
The words exited my mouth as the revelation caught up with my brain. In an instant Alice and Frank broke down into tears again, my words bringing them to the revelation that their friends had never been freed from their intended retreat.
"Yet, Harry wasn't taken with them... Fuck..."
Their tears poured down even harder now as Neville looked between and his parents, deciding to ignore everything else bar his family. I couldn't bla the kid, though the reveal of Harry's parents still living was shocking.
'So that's why Harry only heard the front half of the killing curse... The ritual completed and swept them away.'
A shiver ran down my spine.
'Then how did Harry survive a fully grown Voldemort, as a one year old?'
