Bai Zhongqi's brow raised slightly as he silently mused, "Why didn't I think of this earlier? This world was created by the Pilgrims, and although it was concealed by them and traversal restricted, the material universe is finite after all and would be greatly affected by the presence of a strong gravitational body like a black hole."
However, Bai Zhongqi wasn't completely certain whether it was because the black hole had drawn away too much material and created such a powerful gravitational force that it caused space to twist and eventually break, or whether it was because Yongxi was killed following the at Mountain Starship that led to the world's collapse and revealed the way out.
Regardless of the reason, Bai Zhongqi knew he could leave now.
Having been trapped in this world for a long ti, Bai Zhongqi didn't dare let his guard down. Who knew if other Pilgrims were lying in ambush outside? He quickly sent a ssage to the mustachioed man and the others at the Senior Activity Room, asking that group of idle folks to co and et him as backup. At least he believed that in the presence of an Elder Race, the Pilgrims would not dare to make any rash moves.
The Holand Titan accelerated to its highest speed and plunged directly into the void.
At least in the void, there was nothing that could trap the Elder Race.
Bai Zhongqi looked back at the world, which was deflating rapidly like a punctured balloon, the void consuming its very existence. Soon, even the black hole within would be devoured by the void, and the entire world would disappear as if it had never existed.
The mustachioed man arrived incredibly fast. While the two were not particularly close, under the circumstances of the Pilgrims threatening the Elder Race, the group of over-energetic people in the Senior Activity Room would not let them go.
Joining the mustachioed man were three others; one was a "Bai Zhongqi" who was at least two ters tall and covered in intimidating muscles, another "Bai Zhongqi" wearing a ticulously tailored pinstripe suit, and yet another "Bai Zhongqi" dressed in black Taoist robes.
The four n entered the Holand Titan with no obstacles, coming face-to-face with Bai Zhongqi.
The mustachioed man smiled and said, "I'm glad to see you're still alive."
Bai Zhongqi managed a wry smile, "It was close, I nearly didn't make it."
The muscular man nodded and said, "The actions of the Pilgrims are very sly, but you did well. Even though you haven't lifted the curse of destiny and lack much experience, it was very forward-thinking of you to carry sothing like the Holand Stone."
Bai Zhongqi broke out in cold sweat. He had the Holand Stone purely by accident, but it fortuitously ended up saving him.
The man in the suit took a silk handkerchief from his suit pocket and wiped his hands, saying, "Don't celebrate too soon. The Pilgrims have marked you as their top target. Even though this assassination attempt failed, they will surely continue trying."
Bai Zhongqi was so furious that he wanted to curse, "These bastards, I'll strangle them all soday."
The cleric shook his head, "The four of us are now tasked with tracking down the Pilgrims. Though we have obtained so effective intelligence and eliminated a few Pilgrims, we still cannot locate their lair. And most of the Pilgrims stay inside it."
The mustachioed man added, "Like us, the Pilgrims possess the ability to traverse worlds, although it is not their innate power, but they can do so. They would never leave their lair without a pressing need, and we have no ans to pinpoint their location, which leaves us in a very reactive position."
Bai Zhongqi felt that he was the one in a reactive stance and spread his hands, "What do we do? Am I ant to hide from them for the rest of my life? Who knows what kind of trap they could set for next? Can't the Senior Activity Room provide with a few bodyguards?"
The muscular man laughed, "Are you referring to us? Don't dream about it, brother. Everyone has their own issues. It was already quite accommodating of us to take on this task. To beco your bodyguard, I can only ask, what for?"
Bai Zhongqi felt helpless. The muscular man was right; each one of these guys was a dominant force in their own Universe, and Bai Zhongqi, putting himself in their shoes, also felt it was unlikely they would devote much ti to him.
"At least you could give sothing to defend myself with."
The mustachioed man smiled and said, "Look, you really don't need to worry too much. The Celestial Collector once almost wiped out the Pilgrims with just his pinky. The Pilgrims are actually very afraid of us. This ti, didn't you also overco a Pilgrim under the condition of limited trump cards? You have two mother ships, one of which is the Golden Great Sail Ship left by the Celestial Collector. If you're cautious, the Pilgrims won't be able to kill you."
Bai Zhongqi was not satisfied and asked, "You all say the Celestial Collector almost eradicated the Pilgrims; he is so powerful, so where is he now?"
The suited man shook his head, "We, the Elder Race, are a strange bunch. The Celestial Collector conducted many experints in the past. What do you think he did with so many planets in his Glass Bead? It's said he was very close to creating a world of his own, but for so reason, he departed. Now we can only be sure that the big brother is still alive, but where he is remains unknown."
The muscular man, seemingly pulling sothing from nowhere, handed Bai Zhongqi a device resembling a scanner and said, "Brother, the items you have now are already very powerful, even stronger than many of the Elder Race. Yet, you haven't fully unearthed the treasures at your disposal. Now, asking us for more favors will only delay you from developing your own resources. I rember you have a planet with an output of Crimson God Stones, and ninety percent of them were crafted by an Elder resembling the Celestial Collector, called 'Stone Mason.' Clearly, your planet was his workshop, so there remains plenty of Crimson God Stones. This device I gave you is for identifying the uses of the Crimson God Stones. Knowing what they do is the key to utilizing them."
Upon hearing this, Bai Zhongqi recalled the items he acquired from Taoran Star, which seed to be Crimson God Stones. Holding the detector, he felt renewed hope. Clearly, the power of the Crimson God Stones was far beyond his imagination; just one Holand Stone was already formidable. If he could uncover more useful stones, he would have a much better chance against the Pilgrims.
The mustachioed man patted his shoulder, "Alright, we should head back soon. If there's any intelligence about the Pilgrims, we'll share it with you. Take care."
With that, the four n vanished from the interior of Bai Zhongqi's Holand Titan.
Bai Zhongqi put the detector away, ready to imdiately return to the First Universe to see Han Jiaxue and Ling. He opened an interdinsional wormhole, preparing to enter. Just at that mont, he encountered an unexpected person.
