"Haha, you lizards, take this torpedo from !" Taschwe was completely manic at this mont; as his first actual combat, he was very satisfied with the operation.
However, watching a fighter jet sorsaulting nearby, agile like an eagle, Taschwe still felt a pang of jealousy.
"That white-haired guy really loves to show off," Taschwe grumbled.
In fact, in the entire squadron, only Taschwe and Diane were pilots; the rest of the fighters were unmanned, controlled by AI, Banshee Fighters.
Taschwe considered himself an excellent pilot, but after all, he hadn't been exposed to starfighters for long, and flying in the universe was a very different experience from flying within an atmosphere. Diane was one of the few Iridium Star fighters in the Star Alliance. Although the people from Moon Pond weren't highly regarded by his peers from Iridium Star before, now Diane had already beco a prominent pilot in the Star Alliance.
Taschwe's flying was by the book, but Diane, speeding through space, was like a lightning bolt constantly changing directions, striking the enemy from any angle.
The air raid ca very unexpectedly, the defense of the Teizene supply fleet was not particularly ticulous, especially during the phase when they were preparing to enter warp speed, which was when their defenses were at their weakest. The Sacred Falcon was nearby, and after calculating, Bai Zhongqi deduced that the Teizene fleet would initiate warp speed in this area. When the Sacred Falcon detected the approaching Teizene fleet, Bai Zhongqi decisively launched the Iridium Star fighter squadron. Diane and Taschwe and others had their fighters in stealth mode; the escort ships of the Teizene didn't have equipnt capable of detecting the stealth-mode Banshee Fighters. It was only when Diane and others broke directly into the defensive circle of the Teizene fleet that they realized what was happening.
Heavy anti-ship torpedoes headed towards the escort ships, and the commanders desperately maneuvered various weapons to intercept the torpedoes aid at them. The torpedoes fired by Iridium Star had extrely unpredictable trajectories, moving up and down, even swerving in an S-shape, causing significant trouble for interception. Moreover, the lightweight laser weapons, not a forte of the Teizene civilization and having too low of power, when focused on the thick shell of the torpedo, were mostly reflected and failed to penetrate. The rapid directional changes and speed adjustnts of the torpedoes quickly rendered the laser cannons ineffective.
In the end, it was only the barrage fired by the Teizene escort ships that stopped the torpedo. A huge explosion appeared in the air, and it seed that even the Lizard People on the Teizene escort ships could feel the shock wave.
Ji ilas's eyes were now full of firelight, he banged on the table in front of him like a madman, roaring, "Shoot them down, shoot them down!"
His subordinates, however, helplessly told him, "It's impossible, these cunning guys are using our rchant ships as shields, weaving through them. At this distance, if we attack them, we are likely to accidentally hit our rchant ships!"
Shortly after the Lizard Person's words, two torpedoes struck two rchant ships in the fleet. The rchant ships, unprotected by energy shields, erupted in dazzling light upon being hit by the torpedoes. Their imnse destructive power directly devoured a large section of the hull. Such damage essentially dood the rchant ship; even higher-level damage control robots couldn't repair such damage, not to ntion the fact that the strike also disabled the rchant ships' power systems.
Taschwe chuckled, clearly impressed with the combat plan they had devised. The Iridium Starfighter had infiltrated the inner circle of the enemy fleet, making their retaliation hesitant despite the warship's superior firepower. Effortlessly controlling the fighter, Taschwe continuously fired at the unshielded rchant ships. Even though the firepower wasn't very strong, a few more hits ensured the hull of the rchant ships would be breached.
As for the more audacious Diane, like a brave artist, his fighter occasionally darted out from the rchant ships' cover zone, flying in front of the enemy warships. Seizing the opportunity, the Teizene escort ships kept firing at him. However, Diane, who was well-versed in various forms of enemy firepower, nimbly dodged the weapons fired at him and delivered his lethal greetings when he entered the firing windows.
"This is bad, the performance of these fighters is too strong, and they even have their own energy shields! This definitely isn't a dium or low-level civilization's fighter, highly likely it's from a high-level civilization!" A lizard face among Teizene's subordinates was filled with fear at this mont. Ji ilas's previous arrogance had dissipated by now, for he had realized a grave issue—interstellar fighters are unlikely to appear alone in one spot; they must have a carrier platform. If these interstellar fighters belonged to a high-level civilization, the warships appearing next were also highly likely to be from a high-level civilization!
A massive and majestic battleship cruiser appeared just in ti within the vision of the Teizene warship, just like the fighters, this warship too hadn't been detected by any of Teizene's tracking systems.
Upon seeing this warship, Ji ilas's entire body began to tremble because he had regretted not sending forces to track this warship—a warship belonging to the Eagle Shield Civilization.
The powerful Sacred Falcon, like a silent swordsman, made its appearance without signaling the enemy. Its weapons were deployed, targeting a Teizene warship.
Gauss Orbital Cannons, Particle Beam Cannons, Laser Cannons, over a hundred weapons opened fire simultaneously. Ji ilas's breath stopped; in his eyes was reflected the Teizene escort ship being overwheld by the barrage of fire. In a brief second, it transford into a spectacular, huge fireball, disintegrating into fragnts in the vastness of space.
Upon witnessing this scene, Ji ilas was completely despairing. He knew that even though the Eagle Shield Civilization might not have reached the ladder of a high-level civilization, it was definitely a civilization stronger than Teizene. It was unthinkable that this main battleship had sunk a Teizene escort ship with a single strike, silently proving just how monstrous the firepower of this so-called Eagle Shield Civilization could be.
Bai Zhongqi stood high at the command deck of the Sacred Falcon, outwardly calm but inwardly filled with tumultuous emotions. This was his first ti sinking an enemy warship in reality since the ga's battleships entered reality, and it truly reminded him of the thrill of gaming, stirring a profound passion within him.
"Co now, Teizene, let defeat all of you!"
