"Is it really okay to leave this to ?" Han Jiaxue wore a formal suit and felt sowhat out of place as she looked at her boyfriend in front of her.

Bai Zhongqi smiled, took her hand, and encouraged, "No problem at all, isn't this your area of expertise? Don't feel any pressure; even if we do not obtain what we want, we still have other thods to acquire the necessary intelligence."

Han Jiaxue took a deep breath, dispelled her hesitation, and nodded firmly.

Upon entering the negotiation room, Han Jiaxue felt like a boxer, the characteristics of which He Qiu on the other side of the table seed to be summoning up as well. For this relatively inexperienced young broker, representing the Federation during this business negotiation was an important experience.

The Bupinga Star has ticulously detailed comrcial laws. If he now beca an agent for the Eagle Shield Civilization, He Qiu could no longer represent the Federation; he could only be faithful to his client and represent the client's interests. However, Bai Zhongqi had not yet appointed any Bupinga individual as his agent; therefore, Han Jiaxue was representing him in this negotiation. He Qiu, as a direct contact mber of the Bupinga Union for the Eagle Shield Civilization, was directly appointed as the negotiation representative.

Of course, if the business negotiation were incredibly valuable, it wouldn't be his turn to do it, after all, there were plenty of excellent and senior brokers driven by the Federation. Precisely because the object of this negotiation could be more or less significant, he was directly assigned to it.

Still, it was a negotiation representing the Bupinga Star Trade Services Federation, and having such an experience would make it easier for He Qiu to represent clients from other civilizations in the future. This logic was actually sowhat similar to professions like lawyers.

After Han Jiaxue took her seat, she did not exchange pleasantries with He Qiu, the agent, but instead directly put forth their conditions.

"In the over three hundred years since the Bupinga Star was built, there has never been a public record of first-hand observational data within the reach of sothing as rare as a supernova explosion. I don't need to remind your side to understand how important this information is. For understanding the developnt and history of the entire star region, as well as avoiding similar crises in the future, it is of trendous value. Our Eagle Shield Civilization made significant sacrifices to obtain this intelligence, and for us, if this item is not evaluated in a legitimate and reasonable manner, it would be completely unacceptable," Han Jiaxue said. At this mont, she bore no resemblance to the cute girl who usually squinted her eyes when she smiled; instead, she was the image of a shrewd and capable woman.

Despite the hurried nature of the negotiations, Han Jiaxue had still done so howork. In the public records of the Bupinga Star, she used search engines to look up similar transactions, and by analogy, with a large number of similar or dissimilar trades, she compared values. She also applied basic models of interstellar civilization economic growth and comrcial trade to calculate a likely price range.

Although Han Jiaxue was an Earthling, this entire business model was a standard Iridium Star pattern. The Iridium Star people were accustod to quantifying issues in detail, then making statistical estimates, and thereby formulating corresponding negotiation and trade plans.

He Qiu, shaking his head, said, "Since the guest has already investigated information regarding astral intelligence trading on Bupinga, you must be aware that astronomical intelligence has never been a particularly sought-after or expensive commodity—often, it's even used as an add-on to other trade deals. I understand that your civilization encountered misfortune in the Chrysanthemum Hunting Galaxy, but business is business; Bupinga would not place an absurd price on information that is not though so highly valuable."

Han Jiaxue replied, "I haven't even made an offer yet. How could you know it is an absurd price, sir?"

He Qiu's originally sowhat yellowish face showed a flicker of color—a similarity to an Earthling blushing. This was indeed a mistake on his part; he had made a subjective conjecture in the negotiation before the other party had actually made an offer, which was clearly not sothing an experienced negotiator would do.

"What kind of price do you hope to exchange for?" he asked.

Han Jiaxue confidently said, "1000 Pulun, to purchase our complete set of intelligence regarding the supernova explosion in the Chrysanthemum Hunting Galaxy. This set of intelligence contains our complete stellar explosion observations from the start of the supernova to our departure from the galaxy, including energy intensity observations, shockwave and dust observations, cosmic rays observations, impact on celestial bodies, local cosmic material observations, dark energy observations, and the effects on our warships. This data can bring important insights to any civilization in cosmic astronomy and are essential reserves of information."

Hearing Han Jiaxue's asking price, He Qiu could no longer remain composed and even beca a little agitated, exclaiming, "It's impossible, this isn't just an absurd offer, what would be considered an absurd offer, there has never been an astronomical intelligence transaction that has reached such a height."

Han Jiaxue was relentless and replied, "There has also never been an astronomical information transaction related to a supernova explosion which is so rare and of such imnse value, nor has there ever been one so closely related to the Bupinga Star."

She continued, "The Bupinga Star sits between two planetary systems, seemingly unaffected much by stellar influences, but in fact, close to Bupinga are several stars from two systems, a binary system and a single star, a main-sequence star and two subdwarf stars. One of the subdwarf stars is actually less stable than the Chrysanthemum Hunting Star that has exploded. Bupinga often experiences energy storms from this star. These stars share stellar similarities with the Chrysanthemum Hunting Star, having been born during the sa cosmic astronomical period. If the Chrysanthemum Hunting Star has exploded, couldn't the other stars face the sa risks? If any of these stars were to explode, the impact on Bupinga Star could be catastrophic."

Watching Han Jiaxue argue so persuasively, Bai Zhongqi in the back couldn't help but be impressed. This beautiful girl, who previously couldn't even distinguish celestial bodies, could now discuss the topic with professional aplomb. Her reasoning sounded very credible, and at least by observing He Qiu's reaction, Bai Zhongqi knew that this unsettled Bupinga individual was feeling the heat.

Bai Zhongqi thought to himself, "It looks like Kathy's judgnt was correct. The Bupingas have been frightened by the recent supernova explosion, so they are desperate for our intelligence. He Qiu's reaction probably reflects the directive he received: he must obtain the intelligence, and if he negotiates an unsightly price, he would certainly be affected, but if he fails to negotiate, then he's even worse off."

Knowing this, Bai Zhongqi was clear about how to proceed to extract as much benefit as possible.
