She didn't bother to change her mind no matter who ca to threaten her. She made it clear that she would rather fight whoever tried to threaten her than fight the Golden Hamr gang.
This was good news to Legion. It was doubly good news because they beca happy about their territory becoming adjacent to that of the Light Temple.
The extra good news was because they could now sneak into the Light Temple directly from their territory and didn't have to bother about the machinist discovering their actions.
They've had their eyes on this cleric of the Light Temple for a while. What attracted her to them is her power to heal people.
They have captives that can use the rank 1 heal, but none of them are epic beings. They also couldn't help these captives to beco epic beings because they are not slaves. They have just been brainwashed with hypnosis so they could escape control after becoming epic beings.
They could solve this problem by creating their own epic cleric after they gain more slots for their slaves, but instead of spending ti and resources to create an epic being, they would rather enslave an epic being and use her for their benefit.
Besides the benefit of gaining a ready-made epic cleric, there is also the benefit of gaining secret control of a gang that is supposed to be their enemy.
The two benefits were too much to give up. So Legion made up their mind to add this epic cleric to their options for slaves.
The main reason they wanted a cleric was the other reason why nobles were willing to tolerate them. It is simply because clerics help godclads advance safely.
Clerics increase the chances of advancent with their rank 1 divine ability called Heal, rank 2 divine ability called Purify, and rank 3 divine ability called Bless.
These three divine abilities heal physical injuries, remove sickness and poison, and enhance the power of the mind and body, respectively. All three divine abilities help to alleviate the difficulty of advancing.
The nobles were willing to tolerate telepaths because telepaths could help them grow stronger. So there was no way they wouldn't tolerate the gentle and kind clerics.
Legion also wants to use the clerics to help their slaves advance. They don't need her ability for now, but they are sure that they will need her when their slaves want to advance to rank 7.
It is already cumberso and troubleso to help others advance to rank 4. If their attempt failed, they would have lost a lot of ti and energy.
Rank 7 would require more investnt of ti, effort, and resources. So if they fail to help a slave advance to rank 7, they would surely lose a lot more than they are already losing.
In order to curb that outco, they want a powerful cleric at hand that would make helping their slaves advance to rank 7 easy for them to do. This is the main reason they want her as their slave.
