They had previously digested 10 liters of energy water which they used to practice for 3 days previously. So in total, they have taken 100 liters of energy water since they beca godclads.
20 units of spiritual power is the limit of rank 1 because it is the maximum amount of power that their souls can possess under the suppression of the rank 1 divine flesh. Any more spiritual power and it will beco too much for the divine flesh, so their spirit will begin to leak out of their body into the world.
The divine flesh is a burden to them as well as a stopper or seal on their spiritual power. If the seal becos too weak or the pressure within the bottle becos too high, whatever is in the bottle will spill out. That is not a good thing.
Two things will happen when their spirit begins to spill into the world. The first is that whatever spiritual power they gain will be temporary. The extra spiritual power above 20 will be lost into the world. This won't stop until their spiritual power returns to 20 units.
The second thing is that the divine flesh will be pushed out of their bodies by their powerful souls, and there will be backlash. This backlash won't be caused by the divine flesh rejecting them. It will be the opposite.
Their existence will reject the divine flesh. The outco will be the sa as the divine flesh rejecting them. Their existence will collapse without the divine flesh, and they will die.
So the balance between spiritual power and divine flesh is very important. For rank 1 divine flesh, that balance is at 20 units of spiritual power. Any more spiritual power than that will be a waste of resources and will endanger their lives.
Apart from the progress they made in spiritual power, they also made a lot of progress in their other divine abilities.
As usual, the one they made the least effort to train is the Aegis Shield. It was just growing on its own at a rate of 1% daily.
The one they made the most effort on is the proficiency of Bondage's divine ability. They worked hard to raise it from 10% to 20% mastery and increased the amount of Mark of Bondage that they can make again.
Now they can make 9 marks of bondage in total instead of the normal 3. When they achieved this, they gave up on training it because the next proficiency milestone will be at 50%.
In order to achieve 50% mastery, they will need to work for an extra 30%. In that ti, they would be able to push three other divine abilities to 10% mastery each.
This is why they switched to training Sever. Sever divine ability finally reached 10% mastery because they focused their attention on it.
10% mastery for Sever didn't affect much. It certainly didn't have much of any impact on the power and length of the divine ability.
At 20 units of spiritual power, they can extend the red light to 2 centiters. An extra 10% of that isn't significant. The only significant change is that they can make the divine ability last for longer and affect a wider area of effect than before.
In the past, the divine ability would only show its effect for an instant. But now it is lasting longer and will reach one second in the future. If the divine ability lasts longer, it will give them ti to move their hands all over their target and cause a larger area of damage.
So even if the depth of Sever is not good enough to kill soone, with enough duration of the divine ability, they can skin the person. With a wider range of effect, a single activation of the divine ability will also be able to affect impenetrable defenses like the Aegis shield more and cause them to spend more energy defending against it.
The progress they made in ntal Probe was, as usual, unintentional. The divine ability grew in proficiency as they used it more. They have the people following them for five days to thank for that. If no one had been following them, they wouldn't have used the ability so much in getting rid of them.
They didn't actively train the ntal Probe divine ability because the next milestone is too far away. They still intend to focus on Sever and want to raise its mastery to 20%.
This decision is mainly because it is more difficult to make progress in the mastery of their divine abilities the farther along they are. This is why it cost them more ti and effort to raise Bondage from 10% to 20% than it cost them to raise Sever from 1% to 10%.
The two divine abilities have a difference of 10% in their milestone, but Bondage cost them about 30% more effort to achieve because it was farther along than Sever. It is a matter of diminishing returns.
After achieving this much progress, they put aside their training in favor of ranking up and increasing their strength. So they sent a ssage to Captain Sheckel informing her of their need to fulfill the requirents that advance.
They have already t the requirents of the pathway of slavery, the pathway of the telepath, and the pathway of the undying. The advancent ritual of three of them was easy for them to achieve.

They could tell that they had t the advancent requirent for the next rank because the divine flesh of the pathway of slavery began to glow within them.
The divine flesh has beco ripe, so they know that they are safe to bring in a stronger divine flesh of that sa pathway into their existence without the risk of backlash.
