It was until he and the system got here that they learned about the many purposes of the void universe and why the Supre decided to imprison ANNIHILATION instead of banishing it from the Cosmos. The system discovered that while the main purpose of the void universe is for it to be a prison, there are two other purposes that are highly possible. One of them is to find a way to beco an Absolute. That is the purpose of the path of demons. The lord of Madness could edit a whole universe and implant his code in it, but he couldn't do that to an Absolute despite being strong enough to imprison it. So he resorted to creating beings from its refined blood.
Those beings are demons. They are the fusion of the path of Madness and Annihilation. They are truly a sin. From what the system has deduced, demons were supposed to grow until they beca limitless and achieved Absolute power. He can't even begin to imagine just how powerful demons like that will be. He thinks trying to create an Absolute race is madness, though. Fortunately, the path of demons was cut off, so he doesn't have to face them now that he is in the void universe.
Unfortunately, the absence of the Lord of Madness allowed ANNIHILATION to begin using the path of demons to worm its way into the void universe. No matter how crazy or insane he thinks the Lord of Madness's plan is, he is sure that ANNIHILATION taking over the path of demons wasn't supposed to happen.
Fortunately, the lord of Madness was prepared for it. He had installed sothing very powerful in the void universe that could rewind ti and change history. As long as anything remains in the prison, including ANNIHILATION, all their efforts to escape will be in vain. This has clearly been working so far, but he is not sure it will work anymore since ANNIHILATION appears to have woken up.
In fact, ANNIHILATION has beco proactive just recently. Sothing seed to have agitated it. It is almost as if it has gained a way to open the lock to its prison. He thought to himself in fear, "That would be cataclysmic."
But then he wiped that thought out of his mind and stopped thinking about it lest he draws the attention of the Absolute. At this point, he doesn't even know if he wants to steal the foundation of the prison anymore. He doesn't think the risk is worth it as he might not be able to leave here alive. He is already thinking of escaping now. But then he thought about all that his brother would gain if he escaped right now and decided to continue.
He thought to himself with determination, "I can't let my work go to waste. I certainly can't let him gain all the benefits. If I have to die to prevent that, then so be it. It is either that or he kills and devours when I return."
He needs to steal the main foundation of this world, but all the system needs to do is to gain access to the Will of the Void Universe. That access will co when he becos a Usurper.
His system will gain complete knowledge about how to inject codes into a Supre law and will harvest the research results of studying the different concepts and aspects of every origin god and world god that has ever existed in the void universe. The latter is the other purpose of the void universe. It is finding more ways to break rules or transcend rules.
The lord of Madness was able to beco the Supre because of one thod of breaking rules. But he wasn't satisfied with that.
He wanted to steal the innovations of many others that break rules. He also wanted them to research the effects of the infinite combinations of concepts. That's the purpose of Origin gods and why the Lord of Madness allowed them to be protected by the void universe. They are basically lab rats working for the Lord of Madness.
The Lord of Madness is no more now, but his brother, the god of wisdom, can still make good use of all of this research. With the amount of energy the system has gained, his brother will grow stronger and will be able to devour him. Even if he leaves now, his brother has gained too much. Especially with that ti the real Jason t the Will of the void universe. That was enough for the system to co up with thods to corrupt a Supre law. So he can't leave just yet. He has decided that he will die in the void universe if he must in order to achieve his goal. He is that stubborn.
But he is also confident that his brother will make sure that he leaves alive. That is one thing he can count on from his brother.
He knows that his brother is cunning and untrustworthy, but he also knows that his brother needs him alive, and if he dies to ANNIHILATION, his brother will follow behind soon because of the System in his possession. That's why he decided to be a mule and went along with his brother's plan. His brother has to protect him, or both of them will gain nothing.
As long as he gains what he ca here for at the end of the day, it will all be worth it. He just has to make sure that he won't be cheated.
Fortunately, he already had that figured out. All he can do now is do his best to ignore the rising danger from below and focus on subduing the Cosmic Source.
As the years passed, he was making faster and better progress. The gods defeated the ancient titans one after another, so he made good progress subduing the Cosmic Source. Then suddenly, all the resistance of the Cosmic Source was removed. Its gravitational pull shut off imdiately. It transford from a quasar into an ordinary star that could have fooled people who couldn't sense its potential.
