Caesar carefully took the two bloody eggs from beneath Sang Luo. He had a large basin of warm water and towels already prepared. He wiped away the blood and remnants of the afterbirth, wrapped the eggs in swaddling clothes, and placed them in a nearby incubator.
Once he had done all that, he imdiately turned to check on Sang Luo.
Her face was pale, her eyes tightly shut, as if she had fallen into a deep sleep from which she would never wake.
The ache in Caesar’s heart far outweighed the joy of his newborn children. He held her in his arms, their foreheads touching.
"Sangsang..."
After being unconscious for half an hour, Sang Luo slowly woke up. Her face was wet, and a bitter, salty taste reached her lips. She didn’t know if they were her own tears from the pain, or Caesar’s.
"Ugh."
The mont she stirred, Caesar noticed. He looked over, his gaze gentle and full of heartache. "How are you feeling? Are you in any pain?"
Sang Luo gently shook her head. The delivery had actually gone more smoothly than expected. Aside from her exhausted body and a dull ache in her abdon, she felt no other discomfort.
She was considered quite lucky. Giving birth to eggs was easier. A live birth was what was truly agonizing.
"Bring the children over, let see them."
Caesar quickly brought the children to her.
Sang Luo looked at the two clean eggs and couldn’t help but give a wry smile. ’Even though I knew I was going to lay two eggs, seeing them now... it still feels surreal.’
’I wonder if they’ll be little snakes or humanoid cubs when they hatch?’
After Sang Luo lifted one egg from its swaddling, she noticed arcane, gold-and-purple runes around its center. Stunned for a mont, she took out the other egg. It had runes as well, though they were slightly paler than the first egg’s.
She asked, "What’s this?"
"The bloodline runes of a Soaring Snake Pure-blooded King Beast."
Caesar excitedly hugged Sang Luo, wishing he could pluck out his own heart and give it to her. "Sangsang... you’ve given the greatest surprise."
"Pure-blooded?"
Sang Luo was shocked as well. ’Did I really give birth to these?’
’I originally doubted whether a pure human could even conceive with a Beastman. Getting pregnant was already lucky enough; I never dared to hope for my children to have any special talents. And now I’ve given birth to two pure-bloods!’
"And these two pure-blooded children have complete bloodlines. They’re much stronger than ... Their future achievents will definitely surpass my own."
Caesar leaned close to her ear and whispered joyfully.
Sang Luo wanted to ask what he ant by a "complete bloodline," as Caesar had once ntioned his own was incomplete. But seeing his expression, she realized he probably didn’t want outsiders to know his clan’s secrets, so she held her tongue, deciding to ask him after they returned ho.
The others in the hospital were also extrely shocked. Everyone had assud the children would be Snake and Rat Mixed Bloods, but instead, she had delivered Pure-blooded King Beasts!
’Is she really just an ordinary rat female?!’
Snapping out of his daze, Duotu strode into the room. "Uh, can I have a look?"
"Don’t even think about it."
Caesar imdiately tucked the two children into his space, refusing to let anyone have a look.
Duotu snorted. "I never realized you were so stingy before."
"Your Excellencies, the mother has just given birth and needs to rest in peace and quiet."
Although Duotu didn’t get to hold the children, he was relieved to see that Sang Luo had delivered safely, so he left.
After the doctors finished her postnatal check-up, they also left one by one.
Only Caesar remained, staying by Sang Luo’s side as her mate and the father of their children.
He had a nurse prepare a basin of water and gently washed Sang Luo. Then, he helped her change into loose, soft cotton clothes, speaking to her all the while to soothe her frayed nerves.

She finally had a mont to examine the new Talent Power within her.

Caesar smiled. "It’s an extrely rare Talent Power. In so ways, it’s similar to your own power—they’re both part of the Support System—but their fundantal nature is a little different."
"Purification is also very useful in combat. It can instantly eliminate all negative status effects. For example, so High Rank Beastn have special talents like poisoning, weakening, Petrification, or paralysis. If they run into you, they’ll be completely helpless."
Sang Luo’s eyes lit up. "This Talent Ability I got from the birth is pretty powerful!"
