"Are you insane? The Insect Clan on the Beast World Continent has been infected with a genetic virus. If we don’t destroy it, more and more of them will self-destruct. Countless people will die! My children and my Beast Husbands are still in the Beast World!"

"Oh? And what does that have to do with ?" He leaned in and gripped her chin. "You could just stay here in the Star Vortex Insect Nest. It’s not like you can die. All you have to do is be good and please ..."

SLAP!

Sang Luo’s palm struck his face with a crisp, resounding crack.

Biya was stunned, his eyes widening slightly. "Luoluo."

Sang Luo’s gaze was cold, as if she were looking at a complete stranger.

She knew Biya was no longer the Anu she once knew. But deep in her heart, they were both parts of Anubia. Faced with two identical faces, she couldn’t completely separate her lingering affection for Anu from the man before her.

’He showed kindness, and I actually believed him. I instinctively trusted him, only for him to toy with and make a fool of !’

Biya released her, his eyes slowly turning cold, the red mark on his face starkly visible. "Fine, fine—then let be blunt. I want the Beast World to be utterly destroyed! You can forget about ever going back!"

"You’re insane! How would you feel if your child died?"

"I don’t have a child there," Biya said, his tone strange and dripping with sarcasm.

Realization dawned on Sang Luo, her voice growing cold. "So that’s what this is about?"

It was as if she had struck a nerve. The regret buried deep in his heart twisted into resentnt. His breathing grew ragged as his hands tightened on her shoulders. "I’m the only one who got nothing out of this! I can’t accept it! You promised a child!"

Sang Luo shoved him away. "Then you can forget about ever having one!"

Any of Sang Luo’s Beast Husbands knew that she responded to kindness, not coercion. The more soone tried to force or dominate her, the more her rebellious spirit would flare up.

Sang Luo hadn’t forgotten her promise to Anubia. She did want to give him a child—but not Biya.

’Right now, I absolutely despise this man!’

Biya’s face turned a frightening, livid shade.

The next second, Sang Luo’s eyes widened. "Stop!"

Right before her eyes, Biya crushed the key and the bomb in his hand.

BOOM!

The mont it exploded, his arm was blown to smithereens—a bloody ss, without even a shard of bone remaining.

Sang Luo’s lips trembled, and she was speechless. "You... you’re insane?"

Biya’s ochre-gray eyes grew deeper, a hint of crimson spreading within them. He curled his lips into a wicked smile. "This way, you can never leave, can you?"

His voice was laced with delight.

"You’re in such a hurry to leave because you want to go back to that pack of Beast Husbands and your children, right? Just wait seven more days. You’ll have nowhere to return to, and you’ll have no choice but to stay by my side."

"You’re unrea—"

A blood-red tentacle shot out in an instant. Biya’s expression changed abruptly as he shoved Sang Luo behind him.

Simultaneously, the sleeve on his left arm shredded, his hand morphing into a long, sharp insect claw. It was pitch-black with a cold, tallic sheen, and its razor-sharp talons instantly ripped the tentacle to pieces.

Unseen by them, the giant transparent tank had slowly opened. A square fissure appeared in the stone ceiling, revealing a hidden stone door. The stone blocks from the opening descended, forming a sturdy, L-shaped platform.

Surrounded by a group of Insect Clan guards, a tall, powerful figure erged. His body was built like a stone fortress. It was the Insect King of Zone One, Samuel Taylor.

"The new king of Zone 3. To what do I owe the pleasure?" he began, looking down on Biya with contempt. "You co to my Zone One for a visit, yet you don’t even give advance notice? I would have loved to fulfill my duties as a host."

He then deigned to glance at the female behind him.

A female of the Beast Clan.

A flicker of suspicion crossed his eyes, but he dismissed it. ’They’re both dying here today,’ he thought. ’No one will care about the identity of their corpses.’

Samuel Taylor waved his hand, and nearly a thousand Insect Clan soldiers sward the area, surrounding them completely and sealing off any chance of escape.

The enormous, amorphous mass of flesh split apart, birthing hundreds of corrupted, mutated abominations.

The abominations developed rapidly, growing into bizarre, four-to-five-ter-tall humanoid creatures of flesh.

This was clearly a trap laid specifically for them, and they had walked right into it.

But...

’When were we discovered?’

"You don’t need to teach you how to get out of here, do you?" Biya’s voice ca from ahead of her. He didn’t turn back.

Sang Luo stared at his handso, stony profile, which looked cold and untad in the dim light. She was montarily lost in a daze. "Then what about you?"

Biya didn’t reply. A black shadow lunged, and a mutated creature swooped down from above like a bat.

He raised his left hand.

The pitch-black claw easily pierced the monster’s body, and he tossed it aside like a piece of trash.

The three-ter-long mutated creature was instantly torn to shreds.

A second, a third... The man was like an emotionless killing machine. The mont the huge, terrifying monsters of flesh got close, they were violently ripped apart, exploding into one bloody blossom after another in the air. Blood, mixed with a viscous green fluid, trickled down his bulging arm.

That green sli must be corrosive. Sang Luo saw Biya’s sharp, silver brows furrow slightly. His gaze grew even colder, more dangerous. His ochre-gray eyes, like embers ignited in the dead of night, slowly turned a furious red, radiating a terrifying madness.

Sang Luo held her breath.

More and more mutated species surged toward him like a tidal wave.

’He only has one hand! There’s no way he can handle them all!’

Sang Luo wanted to help him, but a sharp, twisting pain shot through her abdon.

’This baby... why now of all tis...’

Biya had been keeping a part of his attention on Sang Luo. Hearing her pained gasp, he imdiately turned to see her pale face, then flashed to her side and grabbed her arm.

The instant before countless bloody shadows descended, he tore a rift in the air and threw her inside.

Amidst the splattering gore and piercing shrieks of the chaotic battlefield, no one noticed the disappearance of one insignificant female.

The man’s figure was instantly engulfed by the monsters, becoming a squirming hill of flesh.

Countless tentacles extended from the fleshy mound. Their undersides were lined with layer upon layer of fanged maws, capable of devouring a person’s flesh and blood in seconds.

Samuel Taylor narrowed his eyes, watching the brutal spectacle unfold below.

A Servant at his side poured him a glass of red wine and said fawningly, "The Insect King of Zone 3 was hit with the Withering Insect Toxin. With his old wounds still unhealed, we’ll surely kill him this ti."

Samuel Taylor’s voice was low and languid. "A pity. Such brazen fearlessness was bound to bring disaster. He dared to blatantly kill an Insect King the mont he returned, which is tantamount to declaring war on all the kings of the Star Vortex Insect Nest. And then he ca looking for ... Heh. There’s no way I’m letting him leave here alive."

He was just about to drink the wine in his cup.

A trendous RUMBLE shook the ground. The stone platform trembled, and the wine sloshed from his glass.

An indescribably terrifying power swept across the chamber. The mountain of blood exploded, and from the crimson earth, a beautiful, poisonous flower blood.

A spectral butterfly, nearly a hundred ters long, took command of the sky.

Its body was covered in bewitching black markings, with dark gold patterns tracing its veins, its entire form shimring with a fine, scaly light.

The mont its Butterfly Wings beat, countless motes of phosphorescent dust rained down.

Any mutated creature that touched the dust lted into a puddle of gore.

The eyes of the Insect Clan soldiers filled with terror as they shrieked.

Run!

Run!!

It’s the Death Nether Butterfly!!!

The most beautiful, deadliest, and most mysterious being in the Insect Clan!
