Hearing his partner Issei's utterly absurd "god-tier logic," Ddraig fell completely silent.
The definition of a Longinus was a Sacred Gear capable of slaying gods and demons.
Since when had that beco synonymous with "the ability to turn into a cute girl"?
Of course, Ddraig had no intention of arguing the point with Issei. The boy's hormones were in a constant state of eruption—within his worldview, any Sacred Gear that could transform into a beautiful girl was automatically top-tier.
"There's no doubt that the blade in Ren Kuroda's hand is also a Sacred Gear," Azazel said, stepping in with a far more authoritative tone. "But just as Ddraig ntioned, most soul-type Sacred Gears are forged from powerful monsters or legendary beings."
He adjusted his glasses, his gaze fixed intently on Kamiyu.
"However, the one Ren possesses is… unusual. The soul within it doesn't appear to have been implanted—it feels more like it was born from the Sacred Gear itself."
A faint glint of curiosity flashed in his eyes.
"I've studied Sacred Gears for years, but this is the first ti I've encountered sothing like this. I wonder… if I asked him nicely later, would he let borrow it for research?"
In Azazel's view, even though Ren's Sacred Gear wasn't any known Longinus—
In terms of sheer ability, it was absolutely not inferior.
—
Uncertain of Ren's true strength, Loki chose not to act rashly.
Instead, he cast a glance toward the massive wolf beside him.
Fenrir imdiately understood.
Letting out a thunderous howl, the demonic wolf abandoned the suppressed Odin and charged straight toward Ren.
Fenrir might not have been human—
But Loki?
Loki was being very human in all the worst ways.
Noticing the strange looks from those around him, Loki didn't seem the least bit embarrassed.
His son was tougher than him.
Stronger than him.
When facing an unknown opponent, sending your kid in first to test the waters—what was wrong with that?
—
"Hadō Number Four—White Lightning."
Watching Fenrir charge in without even the slightest hint of strategy, Ren couldn't help but sigh.
A beast was still a beast.
Raising a single finger, white lightning began to crackle and gather at its tip.
Of course, Ren wasn't so railgun esper—what he fired wasn't an electromagnetic projectile, but concentrated bolts of lightning.
With a flick of his finger—
Then another—
And another—
White streaks tore through the air in rapid succession, leaving trails of light as they shot toward Fenrir's vital points.
Eyes.
Throat.
The usual weak spots.
And yet—
To Ren's surprise—
Even those vulnerable areas proved completely unaffected.
The white lightning struck Fenrir's eyes—
And was deflected by his eyelids.
"Foolish," Loki sneered from above, imdiately relaxing at the sight. "Fenrir's fur possesses the highest level of magical resistance. Ordinary spells can't harm him in the slightest."
With a short burst of speed, Fenrir's massive body closed the distance in an instant.
He leapt—
Jaws wide open—
Fangs gleaming as they snapped down toward Ren.
"Ren-sensei, don't clash with his teeth head-on—!"
Rias and Issei both tried to warn him at the sa ti—
But they were too late.
Ren had already swung Kamiyu directly at Fenrir's infamous God-Slaying Fangs.
Steel t fang.
A shower of sparks exploded outward—
Yet contrary to everyone's expectations, the blade did not shatter.
The impact sent Ren flying over a hundred ters, crashing into a pile of rubble.
Fenrir, on the other hand, was only pushed back a few steps before landing, snorting irritably.
A being on par with the Two Heavenly Dragons—
This was not sothing Ren, in his normal state, could contend with.
Even with Kamiyu's recent growth, the gap between them remained undeniable.
But—
As the rubble shifted—
Ren rose again.
In that instant, he activated Half-Demonization—
And at the sa ti—
Drunken Oni Physique.
With a powerful kick, the debris around him exploded outward as he launched himself forward once more.
Seeing Ren's sudden transformation, Fenrir hesitated for a brief mont.
His opponent had… changed.
But—
The scent was the sa.
Recognizing that it was still the sa person, Fenrir bared his fangs and charged again.
Fenrir's fur might have near-perfect resistance to magic—
But Ren Kuroda?
He just so happened to be rather skilled with the blade.
And Kamiyu, having just undergone a significant evolution, was the perfect tool to test that power.
Previously, in its half-awakened state, Blade Spirit Release had only enhanced Ren's comprehension and technique.
But now—
Fully awakened—
The amplification was on an entirely different level.
Even his appearance began to change.
Perhaps due to awakening completely within this world, Kamiyu's release state bore an uncanny resemblance to the "Balance Breaker" forms of Sacred Gears.
Wrapped in a brilliant radiance—
Ren, already in his Half-Demonized state—
Sprouted a pair of dragon wings.
His eyes shifted into heterochromia—one black, one crimson—mirroring Kamiyu itself.
As for the blade—
Its form remained mostly unchanged.
But a chain now extended from the poml, coiling tightly around Ren's right arm, which was now covered in dragon-like scales.
And beneath the horn on his forehead—
An "∞" symbol appeared.
Catching his reflection in the blade, Ren couldn't help but sigh inwardly.
Well… I've definitely got the presence now.
But I'm looking less and less human by the minute.
Before, only Half-Demonization and the power of "Evil of This World" altered his appearance.
Now even Blade Spirit Release had joined in.
If he stacked all three states together—
There'd probably be nothing human left about him at all.
Maybe… just the vaguely human silhouette.
Still—
Compared to the previous, incomplete version of Blade Spirit Release—
The fully awakened Kamiyu brought him one overwhelming realization:
It was—
Powerful.
Before, the partial release hadn't significantly increased his raw demonic energy.
But now?
Ren felt as if his body held an inexhaustible supply of power.
In terms of strength alone, it rivaled activating Half-Demonization a second ti.
His regeneration matched the effects of Drunken Oni Physique stacked again.
And beyond the massive boosts to energy and recovery—
His techniques were still enhanced just as before.
More than that—
The abilities Kamiyu had absorbed from the seven Holy Swords could now be used directly through his body, even without wielding the blade.
For example—
The power of the Sword of Destruction.
He no longer needed Kamiyu to unleash it.
Even a punch—
Could carry that sa devastating force.
And there was one more thing—
Thanks to absorbing Ophis's blood—
In this state of Blade Spirit Release—
Ren had also gained the attributes of a dragon.
