Before she could finish what she was about to say, Ren had already reached out and covered her mouth.

If he let her keep going like that, things might escalate into territory that would get them both "erased" on the spot.

Having taken on a human form for the first ti, Kamiyori was clearly thrilled. No matter how much Ren tried to persuade her, she stubbornly refused to turn back into a cold, lifeless blade.

With no other choice, Ren borrowed a set of clothes from Yasaka and had her teach Kamiyori the basics of human behavior. Letting her run around completely naked all day was absolutely out of the question.

When Yasaka first saw the girl in Ren's room, her expression imdiately darkened with jealousy. But when Ren explained that Kamiyori was actually his sword, even Yasaka was left stunned.

She had lived for many years and had heard of powerful beings being forged into divine weapons—but never had she heard of a sacred weapon that could transform into a human.

Because she had always been by Ren's side, Kamiyori knew everything about him in ticulous detail. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that she was the closest existence to him.

Their relationship was, in a way, similar to that of a Soul Reaper and their Zanpakutō from another world. Ever since Kamiyori's partial awakening during the Holy Grail conflict, their souls had already beco intertwined.

Knowing everything about Ren, Kamiyori was also well aware that the fox lady before her harbored feelings for her master—just like many other won in this world.

Ard with detailed knowledge of Ren's personality, preferences, and… tastes, Kamiyori quickly won Yasaka over with just a few words. Yasaka's eyes sparkled as she frantically jotted notes into a small notebook, practically declaring Kamiyori her soulmate on the spot.

Since it was the weekend, neither Ren nor Yasaka had to teach at Kuoh Academy today.

Rias and the others still hadn't returned from the Underworld. As thanks for Ren's help in the Riser incident, Rias was currently pestering her older brother nonstop, trying to arrange special training for Ren.

Ren lounged comfortably on the sofa with Kuroka's little sister, Kunou, watching TV. anwhile, on the other side of the room, Yasaka and Kamiyori were engaged in their own exchange of "knowledge."

Kamiyori was learning basic human habits and everyday common sense, while Yasaka was extracting a treasure trove of Ren's personal secrets from her.

Glancing at the invaluable intel in her hands, then at Ren across the room, Yasaka couldn't help but feel that she had taken another big step toward conquering him.

But peaceful, carefree monts like these never lasted long.

Just as they were enjoying this rare slice of normal life, the doorbell suddenly rang—loud and urgent.

Hearing it, Ren and Yasaka exchanged a glance, both seeing the sa confusion reflected in each other's eyes.

Ever since the house had been expanded, they rarely had visitors. The only ones who ever ca by were major faction leaders like Sirzechs—or Rias and her group, who often stopped by for training.

If it were Sirzechs, he would have notified them in advance. Rias and the others, on the other hand, would usually just call out casually or contact Ren directly on his phone.

As for ordinary people, even though Ren, Yasaka, and Kunou were quite popular at Kuoh Academy, they had never revealed their address. With the barrier concealing the residence, it was impossible for normal humans to find this place.

When the front door opened, both Ren and Yasaka froze.

Standing before them were two n and two won—

Vali, Kuroka, Bikou… and Ophis.

They had concealed their presence upon arrival, so neither Ren nor Yasaka had detected them crossing the barrier—especially since Ophis's power far surpassed their own.

The mont she saw them, Yasaka's expression hardened, her entire body instantly shifting into a state of alert. Her gaze toward the group was filled with unmistakable wariness.

After all, this wasn't their first encounter. Strictly speaking, they were still enemies.

"Don't misunderstand—we didn't co here to fight," Vali said, stepping forward as he noticed Yasaka's hostility. "If we intended an ambush, we wouldn't have bothered ringing the doorbell."

He explained that their visit was simply because Ophis wanted to co here.

Even Vali himself had been surprised when the Infinite Dragon God made such a request.

He had known Ophis for quite so ti, and aside from her desire to defeat the True Red Dragon God Emperor and return to the Dinsional Gap, she had always shown no interest in anything else.

It only reinforced Albion's old remark—the stronger the dragon, the purer its desires.

The Two Heavenly Dragons had no ambition to conquer the world; they only wanted to defeat each other—so much so that they had long forgotten how their rivalry even began.

The True Red Dragon God Emperor drifted endlessly through the void, while Ophis simply wished to return ho and live a quiet, shut-in existence.

And yet today, Ophis had done sothing unprecedented—she had asked for sothing.

For soone who only ever gave, this sudden act of wanting left Vali deeply curious about what exactly drew her to Ren.

"You expect us to believe that?" Yasaka snapped. "The great White Dragon Emperor here has already attacked my dear Ren-sama twice. And last ti, Ophis nearly killed him. Now you're telling you're not enemies?"

Neither Vali nor Ophis had earned any goodwill from Yasaka. From her perspective, their sudden visit could only spell trouble.

"Give it a rest, you brother-obsessed fox," Kuroka cut in, clearly irritated. "You keep going on about 'Ren-sama' this and that, but he hasn't even said anything yet. And honestly, if Ophis wanted to harm you, do you really think she'd need tricks?"

Being insulted—especially by another woman—was sothing Yasaka didn't take lightly. Vali and Bikou stayed out of it, but Kuroka had already lost her patience. Within seconds, fox and cat were at each other's throats right there in the entryway.

Both were alluring, mature won dressed in loose kimono, and as their argunt escalated into a full-blown scuffle, it quickly turned into quite the visual spectacle.

Ren and the others… certainly didn't know where to look.

But just as their verbal sparring turned physical, the most important figure present—Ophis—paid the chaos no mind at all.

Ignoring the commotion entirely, she calmly walked into the house.

Before long, her gaze fell upon Kamiyori, who was sitting quietly with a set of children's flashcards, diligently learning how to read.

The mont Ophis saw her, a rare ripple stirred in her usually emotionless eyes.

Then, in an instant—

She vanished.

And reappeared right in front of Kamiyori.

Without a word, Ophis reached out and gently placed her hand on Kamiyori's head… and began to pat it, her expression as blank as ever.
