The limousine rolled to a stop just outside the Gu family’s residence. Its gates were lit with golden lamps, while the cars inched forward to drop off the guests at the entrance.

But instead of instructing Driver Dan to proceed through the entrance, Micah leaned forward lazily, resting his elbow on the edge of the seat. "Stop here," he murmured, his tone deceptively casual.

The driver blinked at the instruction but complied, pulling the car into the shadowed curve of the road.

Emile looked at him questioningly. "Why are we waiting?"

"I told you, I wasn’t invited by the hostess," Micah said lazily, his eyes flicked at the entrance, the kind of look both mocking and bored.

"Oh..." Emile dragged the sound out. "So then what?"

Micah didn’t answer. He just looked at his phone. Then the soft ding of a notification broke the quiet.

RogueOverlord: Sis, can I go wild?

Willow had answered imdiately.

MW: Absolutely not! Mum would kill .

RogueOverlord: But they didn’t let in.

Micah lied shalessly.

Willow’s ssage appeared.

MW: Wait, I’ll call Gu Donghai.

Micah’s eyes glead, satisfaction flickering. He wanted to know how important the Ramsy family was in Gu Donghai’s eyes. He didn’t actually need his intervention. "Let’s go." Micah put his phone away.

Driver Dan moved the car to the entrance and hurried around to open the door. Micah stepped out first, movent unhurried, chin tilted slightly upward, as though he already owned the ground he walked on. Emile followed, curious.

As they reached the entrance of the grand hall, a uniford man stepped forward, expression polite but firm. He lifted a gloved hand, blocking their way. "Invitation, please."

Micah didn’t stop right away. He let the words hang in the air as though they were beneath him. Then, slowly, he turned his head. His gaze sharpened, cold and cutting, a smile on his lips. "You don’t know ?" he tilted his head, silver hair brushing against his temple. "That’s strange."

The guard’s expression didn’t change. In his line of work, he had seen too many people pretending to be arrogant to bypass him. If as famous as he claid to be, by now the hostess or other guests had co to greet this young man. Yet no one ca forward. His hand twitched toward his earpiece, ready to call for backup when the young man before him spoke again.

"You really want to take that route, ha?" Micah raised his eyebrow. Before the man could reply, Micah’s foot shot out. The sharp crack of impact echoed as he kicked a tall decorative vase near the entrance. The porcelain vase fell, crashing against the floor. It shattered into a hundred pieces, water splashing, blossoms scattering.

The sudden sound ripped through the crowd. Gasps rang out. Then silence swept over the crowds.

From deeper inside, Gu Feifei stepped forward, her expression twisted. Her heels clicked sharply as she strode forward.

When she was told that waste was here, she didn’t believe it. That boy hated socialising at this kind of party the most. She dismissed it, thinking they had mistaken him for soone else. But the second she heard the shattering sound, her heart fell. That son of a bitch was really here. And was crashing her party.

She composed herself and got closer to Micah.

"Young master Micah, in whose honour do we own the pleasure of your presence?" Her words were filled with sweet mocking, eyes on the shattered vase, full of aning.

Beside Micah, Emile stood stiff, his wide eyes screaming, ’Who am I, what am I doing here?’. His hands twitched at his sides, unsure if he should step forward, step back, or disappear entirely.

Micah’s gaze turned more arrogant. " Miss Gu, you should train your employees better. He didn’t even recognise , his future madam’s brother." He clicked his tongue twice. "Tsk. Tsk. The Gu family’s discipline must be declining if even a nobody dares to act against the Ramsy family." Micah said loud enough for people around to hear.

Gu Feifei clenched her fists, her eyes filled with hatred. Future Madam. She hated that prim little goody-two-shoes engaged to her older brother. Thinking she should bow to her twisted her inside.

But she had no choice. She forced a smile that didn’t reach her eyes. "It appears to be a misunderstanding. He’s new and inexperienced. Surely the highly influential Ramsy’s young master won’t be so petty as to hold it against him, right?" Gu Feifei said. She couldn’t announce that she didn’t invite him; that would just plain admit that the Gu family had looked down on Ramsys.

Micah brushed his sleeves and nodded, his chin pointed out. "Oh, so you an one shouldn’t be unreasonable when one holds power, even if bullied? Then if I do this, you won’t complain, right?"

Before she could react, Micah snatched a glass of wine from a passing waiter’s tray. In one fluid motion, he splashed it on Gu Feifei.

Gu Feifei froze, her white dress stained red. She pointed at Micah, stamring from sheer anger. "You... you..."

Micah only shrugged, careless. "Weren’t you the one who said not to get upset over such a aningless thing?"

Gu Feifei’s face flushed crimson, rage nearly consuming her composure. With a sharp inhale, she spun on her heel, storming away toward the staircase to change.

An eerie silence fell into the venue. All eyes were fixed on Micah.

Unbothered, he drifted toward a table, grabbing a grape from a silver platter. He tossed it into the air and caught it between his teeth lazily. As if it wasn’t him who made a ss a minute ago.

Emile stood beside him, in a daze. He could feel every set of eyes burning into his skin. He hadn’t signed up for this! Nobody told him Micah would switch to a delinquent the mont he stepped inside!

Micah glanced around. "What?"

The other young n and won ducked their heads, and slowly the murmurs filled the hall.

By the ti Gu Donghai appeared, the atmosphere had shifted entirely. Micah sprawled on a sofa, his legs stretched lazily, eating fruit. A cone of space ford around them, people warily keeping their distance.

Gu Donghai’s face was a mask of control as he approached. But before he could utter sothing, Micah shot him a condescending look.

"You’re so slow. If it were my sister, she’d have been stripped to the bone and tossed outside by now."

Gu Donghai’s stoic expression shifted slightly.

"Anyway, you are not needed here. Go do your job." Micah shooed him away unceremoniously.

The man couldn’t even get a word out before being dismissed. He didn’t linger and turned toward the stairs, intent on finding his sister and demanding answers.

Behind him, Micah sank further into the sofa, plucking another grape with lazy indifference while his phone was vibrating nonstop with his older sister’s calls. He ignored them. If he wanted to proceed as Willow suggested, nothing would co out of this. He needed to provoke Gu Feifei, push her to the edge, to reveal her hands. And if luck was on their side, they might even catch the mastermind, too.
