At this mont, Ivan, who had just arrived at the airport, anxiously stared at the closed livestream feed on his phone while waiting for his flight to take off.
His tribe did not own a private jet, and even if they did, the country would never approve a flight path for them. Thus, he had no choice but to travel to Luo City to catch a comrcial flight.
However, the abruptly ended broadcast filled him with a sense of foreboding. A strange resonance, much like the murmurs of Gods, softly echoed in his ears.
It was a terrifying prayer that played on an endless loop. It did not disgust Ivan, but it made him feel intensely agitated, even though he could not pinpoint exactly why he was feeling so restless.
Just then, a group of n in black suits appeared before him.
"Mr. Ivan Ruiz, without special authorization, you are not allowed to leave California!" the lead man declared. Despite his stern words, he cautiously maintained a safe distance from Ivan, wary of a sudden violent outburst.
As special affairs agents, they had naturally heard the tales of this Divine Warrior. Their lives were on the line, after all.
Hearing this, Ivan raised his head and calmly fixed his gaze upon them. "Is this the Governor's will? Or do you actually believe you can stop ?"
He had indeed kept a low profile recently. Even with his newfound status, sending his late wife back to their ancestral land required going through a tedious series of bureaucratic procedures.
The Apache Tribe was one of the few communities that fiercely preserved their traditions. Because of this, their funerary rites and administrative processes were exceptionally complex.
As a result, after the grand sacrifice, this Transcendent Warrior had taken no further action other than escorting two tribes during their migration.
Now, it seed he was being severely underestimated!
Just as Ivan pondered whether to teach these agents a small lesson, a burst of ethereal fla suddenly ignited before his eyes. Then ca the voice of High Priest Carl: "Ivan, an Oracle!"
Without a second thought, Ivan dropped to one knee. "Please speak!"
"Soone is hunting our kin and blaspheming their Souls. The Eagle God who tears through the skies commands you to slaughter every enemy there and uncover the mastermind!" Carl's voice trembled with unbridled fury. "The Gods are delivering their punishnt. The falling stars will guide your path, and the tail Feather of the Eagle God will carry you afar!"
"Once you arrive, every enemy shall beco your prey. Bring the boundless wrath of the Gods to that land!"
Ivan nodded emphatically. Right there in the crowded airport terminal, he voiced his grim response, "Leave no one alive?"
"Leave no one alive!"
As Carl's words faded, the phantom flas blazed higher in the hall. Right before the astonished eyes of the n in black, a single black tail Feather drifted out from the fire and floated gently down into Ivan's hands.
Ivan reached out and grasped it. In a fraction of a second, he vanished into thin air, leaving only a flurry of black feathers cascading down across the waiting room!
"Screech!" A piercing Eagle Cry echoed through the entire space, carrying such overwhelming force that these seasoned professionals were forced to squeeze their eyes shut in pain.
"Boss, what do we do now?" one of the n in black asked.
"What else can we do? Report it exactly as it happened! These Transcendent beings are completely out of our jurisdiction!" The n stalked off, cursing under their breath.
...
Alabama, outside the walls of the Indigenous boarding school.
The rcenaries moved calmly among the scattered bodies, searching for anyone still clinging to life and delivering a ruthless final gunshot.
To them, this was just another day at the office. Helping rich elites resolve tribal disputes, eliminating racial liabilities, and assassinating political rivals were all standard operations.
Cleaning up the battlefield was equally straightforward, though a few of the n were clearly in a foul mood!
"They are all broke. Not a single di on any of them!" one rcenary grumbled after viciously kicking the corpse of an elderly woman at his feet.
"What kind of money did you expect them to have? All the profits from the casinos on their reservations end up right in our employer's pockets anyway," another chuckled in amusent. "These people have a hard enough ti just staying alive!"
"You know it is hard enough for them to live, yet you still gun them down, don't you?"
A cold, questioning voice suddenly rang out. The laughing rcenary replied instinctively, "What can you do? The employer paid us to..."
Halfway through his sentence, he finally realized sothing was wrong. The voice did not belong to any of his fellow rcenaries!
The rest of the rcenaries snapped their heads up, spotting a bare-chested Warrior who had appeared out of nowhere right in front of them!
After becoming a True Divine Warrior, Ivan did not spend every waking mont in his traditional combat garb, as many public places like airports would not allow it.
But sowhere along his magical flight from California to Alabama, he had completely changed his attire, transforming into a true Divine Warrior in both na and appearance!
Naturally, these hardened rcenaries were not intimidated by a man dressed in such bizarre clothing. Raising their rifles, they sneered, "Looks like one slipped through the net. Too bad for you, buddy!"
"Bang!"
A loud gunshot echoed, instantly followed by a bloodcurdling scream.
The squad nodded in satisfaction. Yes, that was exactly how it should be! But wait, that scream sounded sowhat strange. Why did it sound like one of their own?
They focused their gaze and were horrified to see that the vibrantly dressed man with a feather sticking out of his head had effortlessly driven the barrel of a rifle straight through the body of their comrade!
He was physically impaled. The black assault rifle was stabbing right through the man's heart, hoisting him firmly in the air!
In the blink of an eye, the rcenary had been skewered like a piece of at on a spit!
Such overwhelming brutality left the rcenaries absolutely dumbfounded!
Where did this monster co from? How could he be so savage?
They imdiately decided to give him a proper welco, aiming to teach him that the era of fists and cold weapons had long passed. This was the age of firearms!
Unfortunately for them, the very mont they raised their muzzles, the man vanished.
By the ti he reappeared, another rcenary had been impaled by an assault rifle and pinned to the ground, wailing in endless agony!
The psychological impact of watching their comrades suffer a lethal wound without dying instantly, left with nothing but their own desperate screams, was simply too horrifying to bear.
"Shoot! What the hell are you waiting for!" one of them roared as he fired his weapon. A second later, he beca the newest human skewer, left hanging in the air.
This ti, they saw it clearly. It was not that the bullets missed. Instead, this terrifying man had literally shrugged off the gunfire, marching right through the hail of bullets to impale the shooter!
Pure terror gripped everyone's hearts. This indestructible monster, completely immune to their firepower, was single-handedly shattering their understanding of reality!
"What... what kind of monster are you?" soone stamred in dread. These seasoned rcenaries, who had countless kills under their belts, felt an icy chill rush through their veins as they watched their agonizing colleagues!
Ivan gazed back at them, realizing this was a perfect opportunity. He declared, "The Divine Warrior shall rain down the heavens' wrath upon the head of every enemy!"
"Give the na of the one who ordered this, and I will grant you a dignified death!"
Hearing this, everyone froze in disbelief.
They thought he was offering to spare their lives, but all he offered was a dignified death? Who could accept such terms?
Thus, they opened fire once more. A concentrated barrage of bullets struck Ivan in the head, producing a chorus of tallic "Clink-clank" sounds that were surprisingly lodious.
However, these musical notes swiftly beca the grim reaper's toll for the shooters.
With every volley fired, another rcenary was skewered like a bloody kebab by his own weapon and pinned to the dirt, weeping powerlessly!
By now, the very first man impaled was still barely alive, muttering incoherent words through bloody lips. The sheer psychological pressure and visceral horror were enough to break the resolve of every rcenary present!
It was not that they had never faced death before, but the agonizing anticipation of watching others get skewered, knowing it would soon be their turn, was a living nightmare.
A swift death was not frightening; the slow, creeping inevitability of an agonizing demise was what truly terrified a man. And that was exactly the tornt Ivan was inflicting.
Finally, one man could take it no longer. He threw down his gun and turned to run.
Ivan did not bother chasing him. Instead, he simply snapped a heavy iron rod off the nearby fence and hurled it like a javelin.
As if guided by unseen eyes, the tal rod pierced right through the fleeing man's torso, pinning him securely to the ground alongside the others.
"Great Eagle God, I shall use the blood of my enemies as a Blood Sacrifice to honor your arrival!" Ivan murmured softly. He then looked at the surviving n. "I want to know, who gave the order for you to massacre these people here?"
Hearing his question a second ti, the remaining rcenaries shuddered violently. Looking around at the grueso scene, they suddenly realized that a dignified death sounded like a pretty good deal right about now.
The survivors exchanged terrified glances, finally realizing that the Indigenous people they had so casually slaughtered were backed by a creature of such unimaginable horror!
"I want to live! I will tell you everything, just let live!" The squad leader eventually broke, tossing his gun aside and falling to his knees.
Ivan remained silent, rely staring down at him, waiting for him to finish.
Soon, several nas spilled from the man's lips, causing Ivan to give a slight nod. "Very well. You may now die a dignified death!"
With that, he picked up another broken iron rod from the fence and marched toward the kneeling leader.
This pushed many of the remaining n into sheer hysteria. They scread, "You got what you wanted! Why won't you let us live?!"
"When you were firing your guns here, why didn't you consider letting them live?" Ivan asked in return. "The Blood Sacrifice has begun, and no one gets to survive. This is the divine will of the Gods!"
Staring at the emotionless face of this monster, the rcenaries desperately wanted to shout for the police stationed at the bottom of the hill, hoping for one last chance at salvation.
Tragically, they realized that to prevent anyone from interfering with their massacre, the police cruisers below had kept their sirens blaring. The deafening noise drowned out their gunfire completely.
'Is this so form of divine retribution?' one of them thought right before his demise.
Regardless of their regrets, the Blood Sacrifice had comnced, and it was far from over!
Gripping the black Feather tightly in his hand, Ivan silently recited the nas of those elite families in his heart.
A split second later, a violent gale swept through the grounds. Amidst the howling wind and a piercing Eagle Cry, his figure vanished without a trace!
"The Hatred of our tribe can only be cleansed with blood!" Back in the distant Apache Tribe, Carl slowly chanted his prayers.
The flas roaring before him grew exponentially larger, and droplets of crimson began to materialize within the fire. It was the fresh blood of their enemies—the ultimate offering of death!
