The next afternoon.

The sea at Gardenia Beach had beco even more lively because a team of water-elent Superpower Users had discovered the mother worm.

It was a gigantic Abyss Tide Worm, six ters long and three ters wide, with a corpulent abdon wrapped in a hard carapace. Its appearance was fierce and terrifying, its shell as hard as iron.

After the mother worm was discovered, more and more teams of Superpower Users gathered around, beginning their assault on the worm.

The attacks of the vast majority of Superpower Users could not harm the mother worm deep beneath the sea.

However, humans had mastered underwater combat thods hundreds of years ago.

Teams of Superpower Users participating in the hunt for the Abyss Tide Worm were granted permission to use deep-water bombs.

One after another, deep-water bombs were thrown into the sea.

Boom! Boom! Boom...

A series of muffled explosions erupted from the ocean floor.

The blast waves from the explosions shot out of the water, creating brilliant splashes as if fireworks had blood.

The consecutive explosions of deep-water bombs taught the mother worm from the Abyss Plane a lesson.

When it ca to destruction, humans had always been adept.

More than a dozen boats chased after the mother worm at the bottom of the sea, with clusters of deep-water bombs exploding and stirring up monstrous waves as if the entire sea area was boiling.

...

Upon learning that the abyssal mother worm was discovered, Lu Heng knew the ti had co and called on Su Muyu to prepare for scavenging.

As the ti drew close to evening, the sea began to ebb.

Above the sea, so subrged rocks surfaced.

Larger rocks all had nas. The third-largest rock at Gardenia Beach was called Dragon Bone Reef, which essentially beca an island reef during low tide.

After the tide receded, the exposed part of the Dragon Bone Reef was more than 300 square ters, shaped like the spine of a dinosaur.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, the sky gradually darkened. Lu Heng, accompanied by Su Muyu, descended from the Baoshan Lighthouse and made his way to the shore.

There was a motorboat parked on the beach.

Due to the receding tide, the motorboat had beco stranded on the beach.

Lu Heng pushed the motorboat towards the sea, dragging a deep trail in the sand.

"Can you swim?"

"I've never learned," Su Muyu shook her head.

Lu Heng took a life jacket from the storage box of the motorboat and helped her put it on, imagining she would look very pretty in a swimsuit.

Cough cough...

Lu Heng quickly banished the inappropriate thoughts and mounted the motorboat, taking Su Muyu to Dragon Bone Reef.

After the tide receded, the part of Dragon Bone Reef above the water stretched over twenty ters, and the subrged part was even larger.

Moreover, with many subrged rocks around, large ships dared not venture close to this area.

Lu Heng anchored the motorboat securely to a rock, then extended his hand to help Su Muyu down.

Su Muyu straightened her windblown hair and tightened her life jacket, then looked around and asked, "Are there any Abyss Tide Worms here?"

Lu Heng found a wind-sheltered spot, took off his life jacket to use as a cushion on the ground, and pulled her down to sit.

"Right here is good. Deploy your reconnaissance hawk and check out the situation beneath this rock."

"Okay."

Su Muyu nodded in agreent, then released the reconnaissance hawk, which dived into the water to start scouting.

Since the reconnaissance hawk was an energy construct, it could enter the water, but once subrged, it moved much slower.

She maneuvered the reconnaissance hawk around the reef and reported, "It seems there are no Abyss Tide Worms nearby."

Lu Heng reminded her, "Look for any caves or sothing similar."

"Okay."

Su Muyu nodded again and continued searching, guiding the reconnaissance hawk through various crevices between the rocks.

Half an hour later, she suddenly exclaid, "I've found a hole, a big one, and I'm going inside..."

As she observed the situation inside the underwater cave through the reconnaissance hawk's perspective, she relayed what she saw.

"Hey... The cave doesn't extend downward but goes upward, and it's quite long. Hey... I've surfaced.

"This cave is hollow inside, not under the water, and it has co above the surface.

"I see them! It's an Abyss Tide Worm, but this one is quite small, only half a ter long.

"I get it now; this is the nest of the Abyss Tide Worms. I see many eggs, sticking to the floor, so on the walls.

"One of the eggs has cracked open, and an Abyss Tide Worm has crawled out. It's soft-shelled, this is terrifying."

As she spoke the word 'terrifying', her voice clearly held a hint of surprise and excitent.

"Find the shortest route, and later take my clone in," Lu Heng planned the next steps.

"Alright." Su Muyu nodded, controlling the scout eagle to traverse the underwater cave again, committing the cave's layout to mory.

...

On the other side.

As the hunt for the mother insect escalated to an intense phase, conflicts began to arise among the teams of superpower users.

Two ships, chasing the mother insect, collided with each other, resulting in a fierce brawl that got out of hand.

The Abyss Tide Worm mother they were hunting was the highest-ranked Abyss creature discovered on Blue Star to date.

This ant that if the mother dropped a Demon Crystal Core, it would be of a very high level.

Whoever got their hands on such a high-rank Crystal Core would be set up for a significant leap forward.

Thus, for many superpower users, this hunt represented a contest of fate and fortune.

The sky gradually darkened.

The ships pursuing the mother moved closer to Dragon Bone Reef.

Lu Heng, seeing the ships draw near, guessed the injured mother might be heading back to its nest.

"It's coming, get ready."

Lu Heng said this and released a Shadow Clone, which he let the scout eagle guide into the underwater caverns of Dragon Bone Reef.

Once inside the mother's nest, Lu Heng directed the Shadow Clone to unscrew a large barrel of gasoline and sprinkle it in every corner of the nest.

So Abyss Tide Worms slled the gasoline and erged early from their eggs, opening their mouths to suck in the gasoline.

After everything was ready, it was just a matter of waiting.

Su Muyu, a bit nervous, asked, "Will the mother co back?"

"If it isn't blown to bits, it should."

In truth, Lu Heng was also unsure whether the mother could make it back to the nest.

After all, it was being hunted by a dozen ships on the surface.

If the depth charges were placed accurately, the mother's carapace definitely wouldn't hold up.

However, these depth charges used by the superpower users were not cutting-edge technological products, making it hard to control the explosion's location accurately—they relied on sheer numbers.

Whether the mother would be killed by the explosions was ultimately a question of probability.

"The interior of the nest is enclosed, so lighting it up could easily cause an explosion; we need to keep a safe distance," Su Muyu warned as she saw the nest doused with gasoline.

Lu Heng pulled her towards the tail end of Dragon Bone Reef, maintaining a safe distance from the cavern's hollow rocks.

As the night fell, visibility under the sea decreased.

For Perception System superpower users, tracking the mother beca more challenging, and a few ships lost sight of it and scattered in all directions.

Another fifteen minutes passed.

Suddenly, Su Muyu gripped Lu Heng's arm and said, "It's here, the mother has entered the den. It's injured; a large part of its carapace on the left side is blasted apart."

Under the watchful eye of the scout eagle, the Abyss Tide Worm mother made its way through the underwater caverns and returned to its nest, filled with the scent of gasoline.

However, the Abyss Tide Worms didn't seem averse to the sll. The Abyss mother worm slithered back into the nest and summoned the Tide Worms inside to crawl out and lick its wounds.

Just then.

Lu Heng had the Shadow Clone ignite the gasoline.

In the blink of an eye, flas spread to every corner of the nest.

The Abyss mother worm howled with rage in the flas, thrashing wildly, causing the cave walls to shake incessantly.

The fire, burning in a confined space, caused an explosion.

Boom!

A loud boom shook Dragon Bone Reef violently, and the explosion sent rocks from the cave ceiling flying.

The blast created a huge hole above Dragon Bone Reef.

Rocks flung by the explosion scattered, falling into the sea and causing plus of water to shoot up.

Many of the flying debris from the explosion headed towards Lu Heng and Su Muyu.

"Shield up!" Lu Heng quickly reminded.

Su Muyu was already prepared; at the instant of explosion, she clenched her fist, creating a Prism Tower Shield in front of them.

The debris clanged against the tower shield, all blocked effectively.

The Abyss mother worm shrieked as it erged from the blasted hole, but its body was already battered by depth charges and the gasoline explosion.

Flas from within the cavern continued to consu its body.

After struggling in the flas for half a minute, the Abyss mother worm collapsed lifelessly at the mouth of the cave.
