Chapter 732: Chapter 732: Sothing’s Wrong with Yolanda Sumrs_1
Jane McCain asked, “Didn’t you say before that you wanted to be a teacher?”
In the Jason Family, aside from Mr. Jason who pursued a political career, almost everyone else was a teacher. Imbued with such influences, Zara Jason had also dread of becoming a teacher since childhood.
“I feel that my experience is not sufficient, and I might lead others astray,” Zara Jason hesitated, “And even if I do want to be a teacher, I would need a specialty, right… I’m not particularly good at anything.”
Hearing this, Jane McCain rolled her eyes dramatically, “You’re not good at anything? How about the guqin, calligraphy, and ink wash painting you’ve learned?”
Zara Jason smiled, “I’m talking about a specialty, and although I can do all that, none of them is my specialty…”
“Don’t worry, there’s still half a sester to go,” Purple Sumrs advised, “During the winter vacation, you can visit so universities for inspiration. You might co up with new ideas.”
“That’s true,” Jane McCain nodded, “Maybe after the winter vacation, I won’t want to go abroad anymore!”
“Would you really be willing to give that up?” Zara Jason laughed, “Since the first day I t you, you’ve been raving about going abroad to hook up with handso guys and have a mixed-race baby. You’re definitely going to go!”
Purple Sumrs burst into laughter upon hearing this.
“Don’t laugh at !” Jane McCain feigned anger, “I refuse to believe that you two don’t want to have mixed-race babies!”
“Hahaha… I really haven’t thought about it!”
The three of them laughed and joked around, yet deep down they all knew that these carefree days would soon be gone.
…
After school, Purple Sumrs returned ho, not sure if she really felt apprehensive, but she unconsciously quickened her pace when passing by the villa.
However, the scene she imagined didn’t occur, and everything at ho was calm. Nathaniel Sumrs was nowhere to be seen.
As she neared the cottage, she encountered Yolanda Sumrs coming out of their house, which was sowhat unexpected for Purple Sumrs.
What was she doing here?
Yolanda Sumrs was wearing a thick coat and looked rather ill, appearing sickly.
When she saw Purple Sumrs, she managed to squeeze out a smile and called out, “Little auntie.”
It was a way of greeting.
Ever since Purple Sumrs had repeatedly made the news and was admitted into the Judicial Training Institute, her status in the Sumrs Family was incomparable to before. After all, once she graduated, she was certain to beco a prosecutor, and nobody dared to offend her.
Purple Sumrs watched Yolanda Sumrs walk away, feeling that sothing was off but couldn’t quite pinpoint why.
When she got ho, she asked Atra Blanc, “Mom, what did Yolanda want?”
Atra Blanc replied, “She wants to invite her boyfriend to our banquet.”
Upon hearing this, Purple Sumrs was even more perplexed and blurted out, “Why doesn’t she invite him herself?”
“Young people have their quarrels,” Atra Blanc explained, understandingly smiling as she said, “She wants to invite her boyfriend over, but they’ve just had a fight. It’s hard for a girl to lose face, so she wanted us to help extend the invitation… His last na is Fowler I think, Purple, rember to tell your elder brother.”
Purple Sumrs rembered Jane McCain ntioning in passing that the Fowler Family owned a few vineyards abroad and were quite wealthy.
It was a small favor, yet for so reason, Purple Sumrs just felt it was strange.
The banquet was ant to celebrate her achievent; Dylan Sumrs was waiting for her to provide a guest list. If she were to add Young Master Fowler to the list, Dylan would assu Purple Sumrs wanted to invite him and would not think otherwise.
…Why didn’t Yolanda just tell Dylan directly?
As Purple Sumrs was mulling over this puzzle, her phone rang. It was Camilla Farrell calling.
The call was filled with congratulatory words, with Camilla Farrell saying she certainly had to co to bask in the glow. After a while, Gerald Graves called, saying, “Ms. Sumrs, it’s really inconsiderate of you not to tell about hosting a banquet!”
Purple Sumrs was bewildered, wondering where these people got the news. The decision to hold a banquet had only been made in the last couple of days.
When Allen Rivera’s call also ca through, Purple Sumrs couldn’t help but ask, “How did you find out?”
