Chapter 712: Chapter 712 Illegitimate Daughter_1

Purple Sumrs beca famous so suddenly that even the colleagues in Dylan Sumrs’s office had heard about it. Although Dylan didn’t know what exactly had happened, he felt proud and greeted Purple Sumrs with a grin when she ca ho from school.

That smiling face gave Purple goosebumps.

Yolanda Sumrs was still the sa, carrying herself with the air of a fine lady, with a strange and sarcastic deanor.

Besides that, everything at ho was business as usual. Despite her sudden fa online, Purple’s life hadn’t changed much.

It wasn’t long before Caitlin Carter arrived in Clearwater and arranged to et with Purple.

Purple had heard about Caitlin Carter from Marcel Jefferson, saying that she was a lady from Kingsley City whose family mber had been imprisoned for murder and had been in jail for two or three years. She wanted to ask Purple for help with reopening the case.

Logically, with both witness testimony and physical evidence present, plus the passage of two or three years, the likelihood of successfully overturning the conviction was incredibly slim.

But the lady had co asking for help with earnest sincerity, and it seed only right, both emotionally and logically, to at least et with her.

Caitlin Carter took the eting very seriously, even inquiring from Marcel Jefferson about Purple’s favorite dishes before setting the eting at a restaurant.

When they finally t, Caitlin paused as she looked at the face so similar to her husband’s. Violet Nelson’s words involuntarily ca to her mind.

Although she didn’t believe it, she couldn’t help but be amazed by the coincidences of the world.

Purple Sumrs and Christopher Simonson really did look alike.

No wonder there were those who had co up with the absurd speculation about an illegitimate daughter. If Caitlin hadn’t trusted Christopher Simonson completely, she might have had her doubts as well.

As the diator, Marcel Jefferson introduced them. “This is Ms. Purple Sumrs, and this is Ms. Caitlin Carter. The case concerns Ms. Carter’s younger brother. Let’s sit down and talk about it.”

The three of them seated themselves, and as Caitlin looked at Purple’s face, she couldn’t help asking, “Ms. Sumrs, so young and yet so knowledgeable about the law—do your parents also work in the judicial system?”

She even wanted to see what Purple’s parents looked like. Would they resemble Christopher Simonson?

Purple shook her head with a smile, saying, “Ms. Carter, the fact that you’ve co to suggests that you believe in . As such, please trust completely so that we can cooperate without any distractions, don’t you agree?”

Purple had misunderstood Caitlin, thinking that she still harbored doubts about her capabilities.

Caitlin smiled awkwardly, “You’re right.”

The dishes they had ordered hadn’t arrived yet, but Caitlin presented the docunts she had brought for Purple to review. They contained detailed court records, witness statents, photographs of the physical evidence, and the victim’s autopsy report.

“Have you appealed the case?” Purple noticed there were two sets of court records.

Caitlin nodded, “Yes, but the verdict was upheld on the second trial.”

“The first lawyer was no good, didn’t give it his all. The second lawyer actually perford quite well, but unfortunately, the evidence wasn’t strong enough to persuade the jury.” After looking over the materials, Purple asked Caitlin, “May I make a copy to keep?”

“Of course,” Caitlin replied promptly, “Take it, Ms. Sumrs. I had these copies made for this purpose.”

While they were talking, suddenly there were two flashes outside the window.

Purple furrowed her brows and looked out the window. A car was parked at the roadside, and soone with a cara quickly pulled back inside the car and closed the window.

This wasn’t anything unusual. Since she had beco famous online, there were always so people sneaking around taking photos.

Purple didn’t take it to heart and continued discussing the case with Caitlin.

However, this oversight made her famous once again.

The next day, the headlines on all the major dia websites were about Purple Sumrs! The titles were sensational: “Real or Fake Heiress? Tycoon’s Illegitimate Daughter!”

The eting between Caitlin Carter and Purple had been misinterpreted—as the Simonson Family wanting to recognize their long-lost daughter?

Reading the baseless rumors in the news, Purple felt as disgusted as if she had swallowed a fly!
