Chapter 682: Chapter 682 Pounce_1
Atra Blanc choked, unable to say much, as the railway station was bustling with people coming and going. Holding back her dissatisfaction, she had no choice but to swallow it down.
The departure ti was indeed approaching, and the area was abuzz with people. The train Purple Sumrs was taking had already started with ticket checks.
Atra Blanc, hearing the announcents, implored anxiously, “Ah, hurry up, hurry up, don’t miss the train!”
Alexander Sumrs replied coolly, “It’s you who are not in a hurry, and also you who are…”
“Alright already,” Purple Sumrs, with resignation in her gaze, glanced at him and said, “Take good care of Cleo and Tiny while I’m gone these few days.”
Purple Sumrs lined up with the crowd to enter the station.
Atra Blanc’s eyes reddened as she reiterated her concerns while following beside her: “Once you arrive in Kingsley, rember to call ho. Don’t talk to strangers on the way, and always be vigilant…”
Purple Sumrs agreed repeatedly.
She moved forward slowly with the line until she was too far to be near, thereafter, she waved to Atra Blanc and Alexander Sumrs. But with the throng of people, it was unclear whether they could see her.
Perhaps influenced by Atra Blanc, Purple Sumrs felt a sudden, inexplicable soreness in her eyes and a sense of lancholy from parting began to grow.
However, reminding herself that she was only leaving for a couple of days and not forever, that tinge of sadness vanished without a trace.
The high-speed train went directly from Clearwater to Kingsley, a five-and-a-half-hour journey.
After boarding the train, Purple Sumrs ssaged Atra Blanc to say she was safely on board, telling her and her brother to head back and not to worry too much.
She then ssaged Zara Jason and Jane McCain, but it was class ti and neither of them responded.
As the train left the station, Purple Sumrs watched the landscape gradually change outside. She pondered about heading to a completely unfamiliar city, with no family and no friends. The sentint of separation rose again, like a thin layer of cobweb covering her heart, causing a faint sense of suffocation.
Purple Sumrs thought herself quite sentintal. Hadn’t she also traveled alone to Kingsley before? At that ti, her grandmother was too unwell to see her off at the train station, and she faced the journey alone without feeling such sorrow or worry.
Upon reflection, she concluded: life had spoiled her.
—Because soone had pampered her, she had beco more delicate.
Purple Sumrs smiled, took out a magazine from the train, began browsing through it casually, and gradually felt sleepy. She closed her eyes to rest.
At half-past six in the evening, the train arrived at Kingsley City railway station.
Purple Sumrs walked off the train with the crowd. The sunset’s afterglow provided little warmth, and the chilly air made her unconsciously shrink her neck. In Clearwater during October, people were still wearing shorts, but in Kingsley, October had already ushered in autumn.
Luckily, Atra Blanc had been well-prepared and packed plenty of clothes for Purple Sumrs.
Purple Sumrs took out a cyan blue knitted sweater from her suitcase, put it on, and then dragged out her suitcase from the station. Unfortunately, the escalator had malfunctioned that day, leaving passengers with no choice but to carry their heavy luggage up the stairs.
So passengers waited outside the elevator, but it only fit about a dozen people at a ti.
Purple Sumrs did not want to wait so she simply lifted her suitcase to take the stairs.
But, oh, the suitcase was so heavy!
After climbing just a few steps, her entire arm felt sore and uncomfortable.
She stopped, shook her arm and rested a bit. Just then, soone ca up from behind, picked up her suitcase, and moved forward.
“Hey?!” Startled, Purple Sumrs was about to call out when she looked up and saw that tall figure. She imdiately froze, unable to regain her composure for a long while.
Alexander Sumrs saw no movent from behind, so he turned and cast a glance at her, his eyebrows raising as he said, “Co on, are you expecting to carry you as well?”
Standing high upon the steps, backlit so his features were indiscernible but his presence imposing and elongated, dressed in nothing more than a simple white shirt and dark trousers, Purple Sumrs suddenly felt he looked infuriatingly handso.
Feeling a warmth in her heart, Purple Sumrs quickly ran up the stairs, heedless of the astonished onlookers, and flung herself at Alexander Sumrs!
