Chapter 681: Chapter 681 Seeing Off_1
After a while, Alexander Sumrs looked at Purple Sumrs up and down with doubtful eyes.
“With your level of reasoning, are you sure you won’t cause wrongful convictions as a prosecutor in the future?”
Purple Sumrs was taken aback, “What’s wrong? Is my reasoning incorrect? It’s logical reasoning, otherwise tell , why would Violet Nelson treat this way?”
Violet Nelson despised Purple Sumrs deeply, but Purple Sumrs hardly had any significant impression of her.
In Purple Sumrs’ view, they had nothing in common. The only unpleasantness was playing a few rounds of Werewolf, but was such a trivial conflict worth such a calculated revenge?
Purple Sumrs couldn’t understand.
Alexander Sumrs said, “What’s wrong with wanting to ss with soone you don’t like? Does it need a reason?”
“Maybe she’s just being a bitch,” Alexander Sumrs said with a rascal’s grin, “Now I’m touching you, and I even want to kiss you, does that need a reason? Stop thinking about which man likes you all day, be more reserved!”
Purple Sumrs switched into sarcastic mode, “Haha, thankfully you’re not a prosecutor, or else in court, you’d definitely be detained by the judge for contempt of court!”
“Just contempt of court?” Alexander Sumrs leaned in close, dangerously close to her, their lips nearly touching, and teased, “Shouldn’t it be for harassnt?”
“Alexander, what are you doing?” Atra Blanc’s voice suddenly rang in their ears.
The siblings both looked over and saw Atra Blanc standing seriously at the doorway.
Purple Sumrs awkwardly lowered her head, pretending as if nothing had happened, and continued drinking her milk.
Alexander Sumrs retracted his rascal’s hand and gently placed it on Purple Sumrs’ head, giving it a rub.
“Nothing,” Alexander Sumrs said with a smile, “I just ca to check how the arranged bride that Mom’s been raising for has grown up nicely.”
Atra Blanc turned red and white with anger, and said sharply, “Co out! Don’t disturb Purple’s studying!”
Alexander Sumrs had no choice but to leave the room.
Atra Blanc slamd the bedroom door shut.
Purple Sumrs heard Atra Blanc’s gentle scolding voice coming from outside, and Alexander Sumrs’ nonchalant tone, “…we’re going to get married sooner or later, didn’t you rush to have grandchildren before? Why aren’t you in a hurry now? …Alright, instead of lecturing , you might as well make so tasty food for Purple to build up her body so she can give you grandsons and granddaughters in the future…”
Purple Sumrs stifled her laughter in the room.
She seriously doubted that if Alexander Sumrs kept talking, he would make Atra Blanc cry again.
Alexander Sumrs was really too bad.
…
As October approached, Purple Sumrs took a week off to go to Kingsley for the judicial examination.
The family was once again at odds over who should accompany Purple Sumrs to the exam.
Atra Blanc did not trust Alexander Sumrs to go with Purple Sumrs, while Alexander Sumrs thought it was even more worrying to have both Atra Blanc and Purple, a grown woman and a younger one, go together.
Neither parent nor child was agreeable to Purple Sumrs.
“This is too much. It’s just an exam, we don’t need the whole family to mobilize, do we?” Purple Sumrs said with a smile, “I’ll be back after the exam, it won’t take more than two or three days. I’m not a child; I can go alone.”
Purple Sumrs insisted on going alone.
On the day of departure, Atra Blanc packed Purple Sumrs’ luggage, reminding her of the cash in various compartnts, telling her to keep her bank card and various docunts close, and for fear that Purple Sumrs wouldn’t acclimatize, stuffed many kinds of dicines into the suitcase, dreading that her daughter would get tired or sick in a strange place.
“After you get there, don’t put too much pressure on yourself, don’t stay up too late. Your health is the most important thing. The exam is there every year, if you don’t pass this year, you can try again next year. You’re still young, there will be plenty of opportunities like this in the future…” Atra Blanc advised Purple Sumrs at the entrance.
Purple Sumrs was both amused and exasperated, “Mom, why do you keep saying things that discourage ?”
Alexander Sumrs urged her from the side, “Go on in quick. Stop dawdling; don’t miss the departure ti.”
“What’s the hurry?” Atra Blanc scolded him, “Aren’t you worried about Purple?”
“I am worried,” Alexander Sumrs said, “It’s precisely because I can’t put my mind at ease that I wanted to go with her, but you didn’t agree, did you?”
