Chapter 623: Chapter 623 Sumr_1

A few days later, Purple Sumrs received a phone call from Marcel Jefferson.

Marcel Jefferson told her that Norman Douglas had agreed to divorce, promising to compensate Riley Montgory with 9.75 million and would pay child support every month until their daughter, Serena Douglas, turned sixteen.

With this money, Riley Montgory could not only continue treating her laness but also ensure a worry-free and secure life for herself and her child in the future.

As June approached, the sunshine beca warm, and the air faintly carried the dry heat of sumr.

Young girls on the streets couldn’t wait to switch to sumr wear, their light and airy dresses fluttering in the wind and creating a dazzling and gorgeous spectacle.

Grey International School also distributed new sumr uniforms. There wasn’t much change for the boys’ uniform, but the girls’ design was slightly modified. The collar shifted from a tightly buttoned, small round one to one with a bow tie in a sailor style, cooler and prettier, but the pleated skirts got longer, losing so of their lightness.

The girls gathered to discuss the new uniforms and complained about the school’s too old-fashioned rules forbidding short skirts.

Jane McCain, however, was very proud. Tall with long legs, the uniform skirt that was too long for others was just right on her.

Over such a trivial matter, Jane McCain was happy for an entire afternoon, always feeling she had snagged a bargain.

Purple Sumrs and Zara Jason couldn’t help but laugh and cry at this.

Thinking about it, ti flew by really fast. Without realizing it, winter had turned to sumr, and it had been almost a year already.

In this year, Purple Sumrs had changed a lot. She had washed away the outside world’s bad impression of her as the reclusive and wayward adopted daughter of the Sumrs Family and had created the image of an exemplary student with both good character and academics.

In the garden of the Sumrs Family, various roses blood extravagantly, competing in splendor.

Under the shade of the trees, Purple Sumrs sat in a white wicker chair, leaning against a soft pillow, with her crossed legs resting on a small round table covered with a pink square cloth. She read a book while eating fruit.

Occasionally, a breeze would blow over from the lake, brushing across the pages of the book, content and comfortable.

Alexander Sumrs ca to the garden looking for her and, from a distance, saw her wearing cool and comfortable shorts and a shirt, relaxing in the shade of a tree.

Moving closer, he saw her with her hair casually tied in a bun, sitting lazily. The hems of her pants were adorned with playful little frills, revealing her slender legs, with skin that was soft and pale.

Purple Sumrs heard the sound of footsteps, looked up at him, then lowered her gaze and turned a page, continuing to read.

That glance was as carefree as a passing cloud, but Alexander felt it was full of bewitching charm, as if she was seducing him.

“You’re quite diligent with your studies, still reading a book on Sunday,” he pulled up a chair and sat next to her, taking her leg from the table into his lap.

Purple Sumrs imdiately withdrew her leg, sitting cross-legged, “Stop teasing, be careful of being seen.”

Alexander wasn’t pleased, feeling that his recent benefits were pitifully scarce, and frowned, “Can’t you read inside the room?”

“No, it’s too stuffy inside,” Purple Sumrs shook her head.

“You can turn on the air conditioning,” suggested Alexander.

“The air conditioning still feels stuffy.” Purple Sumrs smiled, pursing her lips. She stretched out her fair little foot and stepped on Alexander’s leg before reclining it back on the table.

“Get rid of your dirty thoughts,” Purple Sumrs said disdainfully, “Don’t think I don’t know what you’re up to.”

If they went back to the room and closed the door, wouldn’t he do whatever he wanted?

In the height of sumr, Purple Sumrs didn’t want to get sweaty and uncomfortable.

After a mont’s thought, Alexander said, “Zack Wallace picked a few houses for us. Take a look later, and we can move to whichever you like.”

Changing the environnt and having fewer eyes around would make dating more convenient.

Purple Sumrs paused for a mont, then hesitated, “Maybe… let’s move later? I think Mom is quite attached to this place.”

Moreover, her initial desire to move was mainly because Nathaniel Sumrs and Jade Carlson were too much of an eyesore. Now that Jade was dead and Nathaniel had left, she felt quite comfortable living there.

Speaking of Nathaniel…

Purple Sumrs couldn’t help but ask, “Do you have any news of him? I have no idea where he’s gone, it’s really strange…”
