Chapter 1575: Chapter 1575: That’s My Mom

Opening the door, through the entrance, entering the living room.

Aria Jackson divided the team into three groups: one was responsible for installing bombs, another for ensuring the safety of the installation crew, and the last led by her, headed to the master bedroom on the second floor.

Reaching the stairway corner, they saw black tar-like sticky liquid seeping down the stairs, just the sight made their scalps tingle.

Moving further, the corridor floor was almost covered with black liquid, leaving no place to step.

Cherry, being brave, tried stepping on it and laughed, “Hey? Seems okay.”

Aria sighed in relief, “It might be the protective suit isolating us, everyone still needs to be cautious, try not to expose your skin to the air.”

The others echoed their agreent.

Continuing further in, the liquid beca more abundant, the floor was slippery, and they proceeded with increasing caution.

Throughout, cries for help persisted intermittently from the bedroom.

The door was open, and Aria led the crew in.

Despite being ntally prepared, the scene before her still caused her heart to clench tightly!

Too tragic…

So many… so many shriveled corpses, soaked in a thick sticky liquid all over the place, most even had their eyes open, expressions retaining the terror of their last monts.

Aria tried her best not to make eye contact with the deceased, calming herself, standing with the SWAT officers at the doorway to survey the room, she confird there were no survivors.

At this mont, the head growing from Moissanite’s neck slightly changed.

It struggled, as if trying to erge from Moissanite’s body, straining its head upwards, shoulder and neck twisting, emitting a creaking sound.

Aria and her teammates almost simultaneously raised their guns, ready to give it a few bullets anyti!

“Wait!” Aria, startled, called out to stop.

The originally blurred face of the woman gradually beca clear, eventually turning into a middle-aged woman!

Cherry was surprised, “Hey? Why does the witch from the Kalinga Kingdom look like soone from our country?”

“Damn!” Aria swore through gritted teeth, looking extrely grim, “That’s my mom!”

Everyone was shocked!

“Did the witch also eat your mom?!” Cherry was even more surprised.

Aria replied, “No! My mom died long ago!”

She raised her gun, aiming at the witch’s head, gnashing her teeth, “This is fake!”

The expected gunshot didn’t happen.

Aria aid for a long ti, finally lowering her arm helplessly, looking on complexly.

Couldn’t do it…

Facing her biological mother’s face, she truly couldn’t do it.

“Help… help…”

The cries for help echoed in the room filled with corpses, making Aria’s face turn even more unsightly.

Even the voice sounded exactly like her mom’s!

A SWAT officer hesitated, “Seems to be coming from her mouth.”

“But her mouth isn’t moving…”

Everyone felt horrified.

Aria decided to retreat imdiately.

Since there were no hostages to rescue here, there was no need to linger.

Just as they were about to leave, the woman’s head seed to realize that neither her change nor the voice worked, and began to change again… this ti, the face beca a man’s.

“… Nathaniel Sumrs?” Cherry was stunned.

Aria also knew Nathaniel Sumrs, but the Nathaniel in her mory didn’t possess such breathtakingly handso looks as the face before her.

Upon further thought, Aria understood: the witch’s shapeshifted appearance was actually what both she and Cherry had in mind.

Nathaniel was just an ordinary man to Aria, even sowhat annoying, but in Cherry’s mind, he was an idealized figure.

As for why it transford into Aria’s mom and Nathaniel specifically, it was because the encounter on the stairs had touches that reached Aria and Cherry.

Afraid Cherry might do sothing foolish, Aria grabbed her hand and began to retreat.

“Nathaniel” intermittently called out, “Cherry… co… co here…”
