Chapter 1530: Chapter 1530: I Might Know the Reason Now

The corpse was placed in the bedroom, covered with a sheet. The air conditioning was turned up to ensure the body didn’t decompose too quickly.

“The incident occurred in the bathroom. Mr. Stan requested a massage service. When our attendant went in, they found him covered in blood lying in the bathtub, stabbed once in the chest, but the murder weapon was not found.”

Purple Sumrs carefully examined the entire bathroom environnt.

The bathroom was large and luxuriously decorated. The mirrors, taps, showerhead, and washbasin were either trimd with gold or gilded. On the cabinet for clothes, there was a half-ter-high transparent glass vase, inside which pink roses blood, exuding a light and elegant fragrance.

“Take your ti, both of you.” The room manager bowed slightly before leaving the bathroom and waiting outside.

Alexander Sumrs walked over to the large glass window overlooking the sea. He pushed it with his hand; the glass was sealed shut. He knocked on the surrounding walls but found no layers where soone could hide.

This bathroom, aside from a door for entry and exit, was essentially a completely sealed environnt.

Purple Sumrs asked Alexander: “Is it possible that the murderer is that attendant?”

At least from what is currently known, only that attendant had entered the bathroom.

“It’s possible, but… unlikely,” Alexander replied. “Before the attendant can enter the bathroom, they must undergo a body search to ensure they’re not carrying any dangerous items. A tal blade would be easily detected.”

Purple Sumrs pondered silently, muttering, “If the murder weapon wasn’t brought in from outside, could it have been hidden in the bathroom from the start?”

“That possibility… is also unlikely.” Alexander slightly furrowed his brows and said, “Did you forget that before we moved in, Zack Wallace had already conducted a thorough inspection of the room? The Stan Family would be even more cautious than us; the brothers would have undergone a stringent check before moving in.”

Purple Sumrs thought for a mont and asked him, “If without damaging any objects, the level of inspection should be very limited, right?”

Alexander walked a few steps in the bathroom, inspecting as he walked, and slowly said: “Generally speaking… in a bathroom like this, the non-slip mat and folded towels need to be checked. A blade could be hidden in soap, checked with a fine toothpick, and the decorative paintings on the wall would also be removed to check for hidden compartnts.”

Purple Sumrs understood, “The focus is on inspecting unseen dead angles.”

Alexander nodded, “You can understand it that way.”

“So… if the theory that the murder weapon was hidden in the bathroom holds, it must be hidden in a visible place.” Purple Sumrs contemplated, her gaze sweeping over the items before her one by one.

Alexander furrowed his brow, “You an… the dark under the lamp?”

She looked at the gold-trimd mirror, glanced over the exquisite bath products, and then at the blood-stained water in the bathtub… finally, her gaze stopped on the vase of roses.

Alexander also looked over, but the vase was transparent, the water inside clear, reflecting the intertwined yellow and green stems and leaves, casting a slightly turbid hue.

Purple Sumrs moved the vase closer, gently parted the pink roses, revealing half of a blade…

“How could it be…” Alexander was genuinely shocked.

He looked at the vase again, indeed seeing no trace of the blade.

“The stainless steel blade is like a mirror, hidden among the bouquet’s stems, reflecting the image of the stems. When filled with water, at first glance, it appears nothing is amiss,” Purple Sumrs said softly. “And because the vase itself is transparent, it gives a preconceived notion that nothing can be hidden inside, so during inspection, it tends to be overlooked.”

She looked at Alexander: “Cherry might know so clues, but she’s unwilling to speak. Do you know about this?”

“Yes, Gavin Graves ntioned it briefly.”

“I think I might know why now,” Purple Sumrs sighed lightly. “It’s truly unfortunate…”
