Chapter 1527: Chapter 1527: Looking for Trouble

A few minutes later, Gavin Graves led Cherry to the guest room and pressed the doorbell.

Alexander Sumrs opened the door, and Gavin raised the mahjong box in his hand.

“Ah, the national quintessence,” Alexander laughed and opened the door to let them in.

With nothing else to do at night, the four of them gathered to play mahjong for half the night.

Cherry was the worst at playing, Purple Sumrs was second, while Gavin and Alexander were evenly matched.

If you really had to compare, Alexander was naturally better, as gambling was his forte. But since it was just a pasti among friends, there was no need to be too serious, just casually playing a few rounds.

After a few rounds, the situation started to change. Cherry improved rapidly, surpassing Gavin and faintly pressuring Alexander to show his true skills, leaving Purple at the bottom.

Alexander lost a few gas and couldn’t help but frown, “Kid, are you cheating?”

“Hahaha! It’s simple, why would I need to cheat?” Cherry laughed, pushed her tiles forward, “I win again! Pay up, pay up! Quickly!”

Purple Sumrs was frustrated, “Can’t you let win just once?”

Alexander comforted his wife, “I’ll help you win later.”

Gavin tapped the table, “Blatant cheating?”

Cherry collected money from each of them, counted it, and pouted, dissatisfied, “Why is there so little? He just won so much with his hand earlier!”

“How much can you win with a minor hand?” Alexander chuckled as he taught her, “Earlier, I had a pure hand and a set win, can’t compare, right?”

Gavin handed Cherry a few more banknotes, just to cheer her up.

This ti, Alexander tapped the table, “Brother-in-law, there’s no favoritism at the card table, rules must be followed.”

Gavin couldn’t be bothered to pay him attention, seeing Cherry dazed, he assud she was still sulking, and coaxed her, “Next ti, just win big and win back what you lost.”

But Cherry suddenly blurted out, “Soone’s dead.”

The other three at the table were stunned and looked at her.

“Who’s dead?” Purple asked.

Cherry blinked, finding their reaction inexplicable, “How would I know? If you sll a fart, can you tell who did it?”

Purple wanted to vomit, “What a lousy analogy!”

Gavin asked, “Cherry, when did you feel like soone died?”

“Just now,” Cherry replied, “Ten seconds ago?”

Gavin and Alexander exchanged a glance, each understanding what the other was thinking.

“Zack,” Alexander instructed loudly, “Go see if anyone’s co out of their room.”

After Zack left, the people in the room no longer had any interest in playing cards, and sat in silence waiting for news.

Seeing that they were no longer playing, Cherry beca bored and began stacking mahjong tiles like blocks.

After waiting for a while, about ten minutes later, Zack returned, shaking his head, “There’s no movent outside.”

“Tell the people outside to stay alert, swap shifts if they’re tired,” Alexander said.

Alexander and Purple’s guest room was on the sa corridor as the Stan brothers’ room and that cousin Gene’s room — four rooms in total.

In other words, standing at the door, you could see both ends of the corridor at a glance.

If soone was hard in a guest room, the perpetrator would have to appear in the corridor unless they didn’t leave through the door.

The Stan brothers always acted together, and now with the younger brother in trouble, the older brother might inevitably et misfortune too. So, as soon as Cherry ntioned a death, Gavin and Alexander imdiately thought of Stan.

But if it really was Stan, things would be even more difficult to resolve.

Gavin said, “Cherry and I will head back first; let’s stay in contact if anything happens.”

Alexander nodded.

It was already deep into the night. As they left the room, they glanced at the Stan brothers’ room. Four bodyguards were stationed at the door, and everything seed peaceful.

Maybe it was soone else who died?

The next day, Cherry was woken by unexpected visitors.

The man known as the Stan brothers’ cousin, Mr. Gene, led a group of subordinates and surrounded Gavin’s guest room.
