Chapter 1464: Chapter 1464: Alexander Sumrs’s Married Life

Picking up a string, threading one end through colorful wooden beads, then another—truly no difficulty at all.

What’s so fun about this?

Alexander strung a necklace and handed it to his daughter.

His youngest daughter reached out and grabbed it, and the necklace clattered apart, the wooden beads falling off the string and rolling far away.

Alexander watched his daughter’s chubby little hands trying hard to pick up the beads, unable to resist poking at the dimples on the back of her hand, it was so satisfying.

“April, have you put on so weight again recently? Co on, let Daddy pinch your face.”

April ignored her dad, she picked up the beads and focused on finding the end of the string.

Alexander’s big hand pinched her round face, squishing it out of shape, her eyebrows forming a splayed pattern, the texture was just great.

“Little chubby April, stop playing this silly ga, how about Daddy takes you downstairs to watch a ball ga?”

April was not happy, pouting, she mumbled, “Daddy, silly, silly.”

“Alexander, why are you teaching our child to curse again?” Finished with the phone call, Purple walked into the room, “How many tis have I told you, don’t use bad language in front of the kid… Hey! Stop pinching her face!”

Alexander reluctantly let go of his hand, “I’m helping her by pinching it thinner, massaging it, so her face won’t get too big in the future…”

Purple said angrily, “Then you’d better stop touching my chest in the future, wouldn’t want it to shrink.”

Alexander: “…”

Purple ignored him, sat down on the mat, and began to correct their daughter, “April, what Daddy said was immature. Co, repeat after Mommy, im——ma——ture—”

April: “Im…mature… Daddy, immature.”

“That’s right! April is really smart, learned it in one go.”

“…” Alexander looked at the mother and daughter interacting, his expression unsightly, “Purple, I think your thod of guidance…might be a bit off?”

Purple said, “Oh, why care about such minor details? Our child has learned a new word, we should encourage her, not dampen her enthusiasm for learning to speak. What if it leaves a ntal shadow and she becos withdrawn and doesn’t like to talk in the future?”

Alexander thought to himself: Isn’t that double standards?

Finally, he changed the topic and asked her, “Who called just now?”

Purple was teaching their daughter how to string beads, she responded with a faint smile, glancing at him out of the corner of her eye, “Surprisingly, it was Cherry.”

“That little rascal?” Alexander was taken aback, then couldn’t help but laugh, “She’s quite daring, I haven’t gone to her, and she actually sought you out actively. Is she trying to remind to make ti to deal with her? What did you guys talk about?”

“Nothing much, just a case she wants to help her with in Clearwater.”

Alexander laughed, “This little rascal is sothing, she either has a screw loose or thinks of herself as a princess whom the whole world has to serve.”

Purple thought for a mont, then asked him, “From what I heard, her tone seems quite normal. What was your impression last ti you went to Clearwater to see her? How is she now?”

“Both obedient and timid.” Alexander laughed indifferently, “I left a few people in Clearwater to keep an eye on her. Apparently, she’s beco very compliant, learning to behave, and is a model citizen abiding by the law. Forget about murder, she can’t even bear to harm small animals and avoids dogs on the street.”

Purple pondered and after a mont of silence said, “Then she’s quite well-behaved.”

“Only temporarily well-behaved, you can’t change one’s nature. For decades, she was doing all sorts of misdeeds; how could she turn over a new leaf overnight?” Alexander said slowly, “Now she sees Gavin as a lifesaver, afraid that he’ll abandon her, that’s why she’s reined herself in.”

Purple frowned slightly, “What about Gavin? What’s his attitude towards her?”

“Hmm, he seems pretty protective.” The corners of Alexander’s lips lifted, his eyes narrowing wickedly, “But who knows what he really thinks, after all… he is the head of the Graves Family.”
