She felt this was so good.
She really liked it.
So close together, the two were so close, so close... warm and intimate, in this small, dim, silent space, even their shadows were tightly entwined.
The entanglent of their lips and tongues seed to fail to satisfy him, as delicate kisses slipped along her jaw, biting slightly on her neck.
Jane McCain felt pain, letting out a soft whimper like a kitten, the sound weak, sweet, tinged with dissatisfaction and coquettishness.
She heard it, her cheeks imdiately burning hot, shy and embarrassed.
Allen Rivera chuckled softly, his breath lightly exhaling on her neck, tenderness sinking into her bones, kissing the spot he had bitten, he huskily said, "Didn’t you just bite too, hmm?"
But Jane thought: So annoying, even his voice sounds so nice.
Her hand rested on his shoulder, gently pushing away, "Let’s go upstairs, don’t ss around..."
"Mm, just a mont," Allen murmured, the rapid heartbeat making him sowhat lost, his voice also carried a slightly tipsy tone, "I’ve always wanted to kiss you here... this place..."
His lips moved down, stopping just over Jane’s chest, pressing slightly through her clothes.
The heartbeat there was like his, rapid and chaotic.
...So, how could you bear to part? Fortunately, to et soone who makes your heart race, and her heartbeat just happens to synchronize with his, so wonderfully indescribable.
He held her waist, his arms unconsciously tightening, embracing her close.
An abrupt ringtone from the phone broke between them the charming mont.
Jane was startled awake, hurriedly pushing away from Allen, rummaging through her bag for her phone, seeing Ruby Spencer’s call, quickly answered—
Ruby asked on the other end, "Have you reached the office?"
Jane’s emotions hadn’t settled, she glanced sheepishly at Allen in front of her, replied, "Mm... almost there."
"I just found the backup on the computer, no need for you to co," Ruby said, "I’ll call you after things here are settled, for now, that’s it, bye."
The call ended.
Jane exhaled a light breath, put the phone back into her bag.
"My mom said no need to go to the office now." Jane showed a relaxed smile, "That’s good, now we don’t have to climb the stairs."
"Mm." Allen also smiled, wrapping his arms around her waist again, "And no need to rush now."
Jane’s breath slightly halted, as she realized sothing.
He leaned in, gently touching her lips, "Let’s continue..."
...
Near Valentine’s Day, snow fell again in Clearwater City, fluttering and drifting, falling on the glass window, lting bit by bit into sparkling droplets.
Jane rested her chin in her palms, gazing out the window, occasionally curling into a smile, her heart soaked in sweetness.
She and Allen seed to have reconciled.
Though the questions that should’ve been asked weren’t, and the conversations that should’ve been had weren’t, the part most dwelled upon, inexplicably didn’t matter anymore...
Knowing his feelings, knowing he had her in his heart, was more important than anything.
Really liked him.
Liked him more and more...
The thought of eting soon made her so happy.
Jane thought and thought, couldn’t help but laugh out loud, and after laughing, couldn’t help but find herself like a silly lovestruck fool.
Her heart had floated for an entire day, by quitting ti, she left the office with light steps, saw Allen’s car parked in the familiar spot.
Jane walked over, just about to open the car door, but soone ca out from inside—
It was Lucas Tucker.
She froze in place, staring at him in astonishnt.
Lucas Tucker’s arm looked like it was broken, a white sling hung on his chest, his arm wrapped in a cast hung in the sling, and his face showed irritation and helplessness.
He walked up to Jane, suddenly bent over in a bow! Almost a full 90 degrees, then uttered three words—
"I’m sorry!"
