"I didn’t do it!" Juliet Stewart’s expression was extrely panicked, "Soone pushed , that’s why I bumped into her!"

The surroundings were noisy and chaotic, with pedestrians coming and going. How could anyone tell who pushed Juliet Stewart?

"I really didn’t do it on purpose!" She loudly defended herself once more.

Nearby passersby glanced over, so assessing, so gossiping.

Fiona Lake didn’t believe Juliet Stewart’s words, coldly tossed out a sentence: "Take care of yourself!"

After speaking, she quickly walked over to Jane McCain, helped her up, and then bent down to pick up the items scattered on the ground.

"Are you okay?" Fiona Lake asked Jane McCain.

Jane McCain shook her head, opened her palm, revealing abrasions. Wearing thick winter clothes, the fall didn’t injure her, just scraped her palm.

... But what if she had been hit by the vehicle?

She stared at the wounds on her hand in a daze, recalling the electric tricycle from earlier.

Such a vehicle couldn’t possibly have killed her, but causing a bloody injury would’ve been easy.

So... was it a spur-of-the-mont revenge by Juliet Stewart?

Or was it really, as she claid, just an accident?

Jane McCain was in such a terrible mood she didn’t even feel like blaming anyone, following Fiona Lake back to the dormitory.

In the dorm, Jane McCain went to the bathroom to rinse her wounds with cold water, giving them simple treatnt.

Fiona Lake brought over so dicine, reminding her, "You need to be careful around Juliet Stewart and keep your distance. She is narrow-minded, worse than a needle’s eye, has a terrible temper, and acts without considering the consequences, like an immature child."

Immature...

Allen Rivera had once evaluated Juliet Stewart like this as well.

Jane McCain silently accepted the dicine from Fiona Lake’s hand.

Fiona Lake continued, "Earlier, I noticed she seed odd with Mr. Rivera. Last ti, Mr. Rivera ntioned he had a date after work, and then the docunts in her hand had problems—shredded to bits in the shredder! How coincidental is that? Usually, the files are well-organized, but just when Mr. Rivera’s going on a date, she makes such a big mistake. I think she was obviously trying to delay and keep Mr. Rivera from his date!"

Fiona Lake beca increasingly indignant, filled with righteous anger, "This ti, she must have done it on purpose! When Mr. Rivera returns, I will definitely talk to him about it!"

Jane McCain pressed her lips together in silence.

Fiona Lake assud she was tired, urged her to rest more, then left the room.

Jane McCain indeed felt exhausted.

Ever since arriving in this town, event after event had involved her. If no one was intentionally targeting her, she could only describe her experiences as unlucky.

She lay in bed, closing her eyes to rest. Not long after, there ca a loud knocking at the door.

She sat up, ready to open the door. At this mont, she heard Juliet Stewart shouting from outside: "How shaless can you be! Damaging your own docunts, refusing to leave, acting like you’re innocent! I didn’t push you at all! Don’t try to throw dirt on ! I’m telling you, I’m not afraid of you complaining to Mr. Rivera! Sooner or later, he’ll see just how vile you really are!..."

Juliet Stewart’s shouting was filled with a sobbing tone, both aggrieved and indignant.

Jane McCain listened silently for a mont, lay back in bed, and pulled the blanket over her head, wishing to hear nothing.

Only one thought remained in her heart, and that was regret.

She truly shouldn’t have co here...

If she hadn’t co, none of these things would have happened...

If she hadn’t co, she wouldn’t have known so much...

Was Ray Cooper inviting her to Wellville Town just a mont’s kindness?

Had Juliet Stewart’s jealousy towards her grown so much that she harbored murderous intent?

Was Fiona Lake telling her all this to provoke trouble or just for entertainnt?

Was Lucas Tucker getting beaten sohow related to her?

For a mont, Jane McCain felt the entire world was full of malice. No matter who it was, she couldn’t help but question their intentions.

She dared not trust anyone, curled up tightly under the blanket, eyes shut, hoping Allen Rivera would return soon.
