Chapter 1080: Chapter 1080 I am Innocent_1 Chapter 1080: Chapter 1080 I am Innocent_1 Purple Sumrs imdiately went to the police station.

She could not believe that Norton Young would rape a woman and felt certain that there must be so mistake.

Norton Young was the most honest person in class, his face would turn red and he would sweat nervously over a simple joke, how could he possibly rape soone on the street?

It was utterly absurd.

Upon arriving at the station, she imdiately applied for Norton Young’s bail, but was denied.

Typically, when evidence is conclusive or the nature of the case is extrely heinous, the judicial departnt has the authority to reject bail applications to prevent the suspect from committing further cris after release.

This ant that Norton Young would have to stay in the detention center until the day of the court hearing!

But the court hearing could take as little as a week or as much as two months to schedule. Was Norton Young to stay locked up all that ti?!

Purple Sumrs sought out the prosecutor in charge of the case: “He is currently studying at the Judicial Training Institute, with no prior record! Moreover, he is engaged in community service activities. This detention will affect his normal life and might even prevent him from graduating on ti!”

The prosecutor knew Purple Sumrs, aware that she was the president’s daughter, and said helplessly, “Ms. Simonson, we found the victim’s underwear on his person, and we fully believe that if he is released, he is likely to harass the victim again. Therefore… I’m sorry, we must reject the bail application.”

Purple Sumrs was stunned, her mind unable to process this for a mont.

Norton Young hadn’t ntioned these details over the phone.

After a while, she asked, “What’s the possible sentence?”

“According to the rules, it’s no less than three years and no more than ten,” the prosecutor sighed, “However, since he has no criminal history, and was humiliated before the incident, we could consider a lighter sentence… five years is the minimum.”

Purple Sumrs frowned, “He was humiliated?”

“Yes, the victim and he were on the sa subway and got into an argunt, where she said many nasty things,” the prosecutor explained, “I think he might have harbored resentnt, so he followed her after and assaulted her in a deserted alleyway.”

Norton Young had not ntioned this either.

Over the phone, he had only urged her to co quickly, perhaps there was no ti for a detailed explanation.

Purple Sumrs asked, “The plea agreent is for a minimum of five years?”

The prosecutor nodded, “We have witnesses, we have evidence, if it goes to trial, he could get up to ten years. Especially since his identity is that of a student at the Judicial Training Institute, the jury despises those who know the law and yet break it. To save ti for both sides, I think five years is already very lenient.”

Purple Sumrs was silent for a mont, then said, “I need to talk this over with my client.”

The prosecutor had no objections.

Purple Sumrs t with Norton Young in a private visitation room.

His eyes were red-rimd, a clear sign he had been crying, his thick glasses were obviously cracked, a result of the police pushing him to the ground during the arrest, and his shirt was covered in dust.

Seeing him in such a disheveled state, Purple Sumrs felt overwheld with helplessness.

“Norton, did you really do it?” Purple Sumrs asked.

Norton Young’s emotions were on the brink of collapse as he hoarsely insisted, “It really wasn’t !”

“What about the underwear?” Purple Sumrs asked, looking at him with complex eyes, “Norton, I want to help you, but you must tell the truth.”

“I really, really didn’t lie to you!” Norton Young pleaded in agony, “I was just taking the subway ho as usual when soone suddenly threw a pair of underwear at ! Then the police appeared out of nowhere and arrested , but I swear! I really didn’t do anything!”

Even Purple Sumrs found his defense hard to believe; who would believe such a story in court?

Seeing Purple Sumrs silent, Norton Young grew even more anxious, “I am innocent! Purple Sumrs, I know you’re excellent at fighting cases, please help ! I can’t be expelled from school! I took the entrance exams five tis… if I’m expelled… I really have nothing left…”
