Chapter 1000: Chapter 1000 Issuing Orders_1 Chapter 1000: Chapter 1000 Issuing Orders_1 Jane McCain was also confused and furrowed her brow, “Go fishing… and have a picnic on the side? That’s not conflicting, though. You sit on the boat, fish, and when you’re thirsty or tired, you eat sothing.”

“But you didn’t ntion fishing at the start,” Purple Sumrs looked at her seriously. “Why bring up fishing now? Is it because you’ve rembered so details from the story?”

Jane McCain looked lost. “I don’t know…”

She really didn’t know. A story she had overheard by chance years ago, rembering even the slightest detail now was a miracle.

Purple Sumrs and Allen Rivera left the detention center, and both got into the car.

“Fishing must be real,” Purple Sumrs said. “Fishing makes more sense. If it was just a picnic, there would be no need to be on the river.”

Allen Rivera pondered, “If the killer was into fishing, we could significantly narrow the search range.”

Purple Sumrs said, “Not only does he fish, but he is also an aficionado with his own boat. Think about it, the killer chose that river for his cris twice, which shows he’s very familiar with the area, knowing there would be no witnesses there. He must often go fishing nearby!”

She was deep in thought and suddenly rembered sothing else, “That’s right… He must fish often, which is how he knows about the habits of the giant catfish. Maybe he’s caught that big catfish before, then released it. He knew there was a catfish in that river big enough to swallow a body, which is why he chose to dump the body there!”

Purple Sumrs patted Allen Rivera’s shoulder sitting beside her, “You go check the rosters of all the fishing clubs in Clearwater City, see if there are any people from Jane McCain’s party pictures. Usually, anglers take group photos with their catch before releasing it. If the killer has caught a big catfish before, we’ll definitely find him in the club’s photo albums!”

Allen Rivera nodded subconsciously.

Then he felt sothing was off; after all, he was a prosecutor, not her assistant!

Just as he was about to say sothing, Purple Sumrs had already started calling Aria Jackson with that familiar commanding tone, “Aria Jackson, Allen Rivera and I have made a new discovery. The killer is likely an angling enthusiast… Yes, narrowing down the search area. Are you still outside?… Good, call when you get back. I’ll be waiting for your news.”

After speaking, she hung up the phone.

Allen Rivera asked, “Any progress on Aria Jackson’s end?”

“She’s still checking one by one according to the list, no new discoveries for now.” Purple Sumrs exhaled softly, “If we can catch the killer, Jane McCain’s charges can be dropped.”

Aria Jackson put away her phone and knocked on the door in front of her.

A tall, well-built man opened the door and saw Aria Jackson and the officer outside, frowning slightly with a puzzled look.

“Who are you looking for?”

“Hello, we are officers from the Clearwater City Police.” Aria Jackson showed her work docunts, “There’s a case we hope you can cooperate with the investigation, may we ask you a few questions?”

The man hesitated for a mont, then stepped aside to let Aria Jackson and another officer into the house.

“What questions?” he asked.

Aria Jackson took out a group photo where Jane McCain was present, alongside the man in question.

“Do you recognize this girl?”

“… Yes, I recognize her. That’s Jane McCain, her mother is Ruby Spencer, everyone in the circle knows her.”

“It’s like this, she heard so clues about the case at the party, possibly during a storytelling session, soone might’ve told a story about soone nad Philly. Does the na Philly ring a bell for you?” Aria Jackson asked.

The man frowned with inconvenience, “The last ti I had a gathering with her was several years ago, how could I possibly rember…”

Such an answer was expected.

Aria Jackson handed him a business card, “Sorry to bother you, if you rember any relevant information, please be sure to contact .”

She then left with the officer.

The man saw them out the door, “Ah… I rember now, soone did tell a story about Philly.”

Aria Jackson abruptly stopped in her tracks and turned to ask him, “Who?”

“It was Jane McCain who told it,” the man replied.
