"I agree," echoed Jiao Tan, who hadn’t managed to pull out a divine artifact himself.
Among the Green Lotus Sect’s dozen mbers, only Eunbyeol Ling had successfully retrieved a divine artifact.
In addition, one artifact was claid by each of the Divine Maiden Sect and the Light Demon Sect. Apart from them, only Hanjun Wangye and two wild cultivators managed to pull out artifacts.
The first three were large sects with strong backing, unconcerned about others trying to rob them. But for Hanjun Wangye and the two wild cultivators, trouble lood, as the the Eternal One Sect and Demonic Night Sect were already eyeing them.
Initially pleased with his luck, Hanjun Wangye’s face darkened when he realized he was now a target. The sight of one of the wild cultivators who had claid a divine artifact being followed by a group after leaving heightened his apprehension.
"Hanjun Wangye, how about we join forces?" Chohwan Jin approached him and sent a sound transmission.
"And what good would that do? More than one faction has its eyes on us now. If we stick together, we’ll only beco a bigger target. If we don’t want to lose the artifacts to them, our best option is to find allies among the other sects," Hanjun Wangye replied, reluctantly. They had intended to operate independently but hadn’t anticipated being outmaneuvered by the Path of All Immortals.
"But those sa factions are the ones targeting us! Teaming up with them would be like throwing ourselves into a trap," Chohwan Jin replied, now unsure if obtaining the artifact was a blessing or a curse.
"Not necessarily." Hanjun Wangye glanced toward the Green Lotus Sect and the Divine Maiden Sect. "Both of these sects also obtained artifacts, and they have good reputations on the Mystic Void Continent. I think we can trust them."
"They might not agree to ally with us, though," Chohwan Jin countered. "After all, three artifacts together make for a temptation great enough to turn any ally into a threat."
"True enough, but we won’t know until we try."
Hanjun Wangye had made up his mind to ask, and Chohwan Jin, not wanting to get on the bad side of the Eternal One Sect or Demonic Night Sect, went along with him.
"What’s your business here?" Seongwoo Jin asked lazily, noticing their approach.
"May I ask what your plans are from here?" Hanjun Wangye asked politely, with a slight bow.
"If you want to tag along with us, just say so directly. No need to pretend," Seongwoo Jin replied bluntly.
Unbothered, Hanjun Wangye gave a slight smile. "Then I’ll be direct. We would like to team up with you all. This way, if anything happens, we can support each other. Besides, I assu you’re all curious as to why it was us who obtained these divine artifacts?"
"We are curious, but we can find the answer ourselves. The two of you don’t seem necessary for that," replied Jirandai Tang, unfazed.
Hanjun Wangye hesitated briefly. "I know so secrets about the Path of All Immortals that others don’t, and I’m willing to share them with you."
"Such as?" Jirandai Tang asked, expression unchanged.
Hanjun Wangye sighed. The mbers of the Green Lotus Sect might not be as ruthless as those in the Eternal One Sect, but they were still no easy bunch. "I know of a very peculiar place in the Path of All Immortals and can guide you there. It’s the location of the Myriad Immortal Monunt."
"I’ve heard of the Myriad Immortal Monunt as well. Are you saying you have a way to find it?" Jirandai Tang’s expression grew serious.
Hanjun Wangye nodded. "That’s correct."
"But as far as I know, no one has ever found the Myriad Immortal Monunt. What makes you think you can find it now?" Jirandai Tang questioned.
"That’s a secret I can’t reveal just yet. But I guarantee I can lead you to the Myriad Immortal Monunt," Hanjun Wangye replied earnestly.
"Senior brother, what’s the Myriad Immortal Monunt?" asked Junior Brother Hsu, clearly confused.
"It’s said to hold the secrets of the Immortal Realm. What exactly it contains, no one knows. We’ll only find out when we see it for ourselves," replied Jirandai Tang. His master had only ntioned it briefly, not knowing the exact details either.
"So, what do you say?" Hanjun Wangye asked.
Jirandai Tang nodded. The Myriad Immortal Monunt was crucial; his master had advised him to pursue it if he could. The monunt not only contained secrets of the Immortal Realm but was also rumored to possess the power to strengthen those who discovered it.
"Hanjun Wangye and Chohwan Jin have gone to seek an alliance with the Green Lotus Sect," remarked one of the factions who had been eyeing the two n, looking displeased.
"The Green Lotus Sect may be powerful, but we’re not weak. If it cos to a fight, the outco is far from certain. Besides, they’ll be wary of ambushes."
"We’ll just tail them. They can’t possibly stay together the whole ti; eventually, so of them will be isolated."
Having made up their minds, they decided to follow from a distance.
anwhile, Jirandai Tang, Taeseon Lei, and the others did not leave imdiately because Renshu Chang, Jinhwa Hou, and several other disciples hadn’t arrived yet. After waiting for a while, they finally decided to set out.
About an hour after they left, Renshu Chang and Jinhwa Hou arrived.
Seeing the mound of weapons before them, the two were montarily stunned.
"Are all of these divine artifacts left by immortals?" Renshu Chang asked.
"All divine artifacts. We’ve struck it rich," Jinhwa Hou said, practically drooling at the sight. He thought if he could trade these artifacts for so Drunken Immortal Brew, the Wine Immortal would have no reason to refuse him.
Divine artifacts are rare treasures in the Mystic Void Continent. Even the Artifact Refining Valley cannot forge true divine artifacts. Any artifact taken from here is invaluable, and if it’s destroyed, it’s lost forever.
