The white-robed man’s smile faltered, "You also rely on slashing and hacking. I have reason to suspect you might be a devil too."
Amalia gave him a look of disdain, "You’ve successfully amused ."
The white-robed man’s smile turned into a grimace, "Enough with the nonsense. Since you’ve figured it out, you can die along with him. Attack!"
Amalia’s sharp gaze swept across the group of Foundation Building stage cultivators.
They wouldn’t be difficult to deal with; the real challenge was the white-robed man standing aside, who was actually at the early stage of the Golden Core, his previous display of being at the peak of Foundation Building was just a disguise.
Fortunately, he seed confident that his companions could kill her and didn’t join the battle himself.
Amalia had no spiritual artifacts on her, she only has the injured man’s sword.
It seed she would have to make do with it for now.
She quickly focused part of her mind into the Soltice Ring and searching for an advanced level sword technique.
While dodging their attacks, she simultaneously began to learn the new technique.
Amalia’s movents were like a phantom, she staying close to them instead of creating distance and continually closing in on her attackers.
The few Foundation Building stage cultivators couldn’t coordinate their attacks and almost injuring each other in the chaos.
Cooperation was out of the question.
The white-robed man grew increasingly impatient, "You useless fools, get out of the way!"
Seeing their leader’s anger, the Foundation Building cultivators imdiately backed off.
Amalia withdrew her mind from the Soltice Ring.
She had finished reviewing the advanced level sword technique.
Her mind kept recalling the moves and insights from the technique.
The sheer pressure from the white-robed man’s Golden Core aura was almost unbearable.
Amalia suppressed her fear and ntally rehearsing the advanced level sword techniques.
"You actually have another choice," the white-robed man said, not rushing to attack.
"What choice?" Amalia asked coolly.
She didn’t mind him stalling for ti if it benefited her.
"My target is only him," the white-robed man said, glancing at the injured man behind her.
"You want to leave him and go on my own, is that it?" Amalia asked, her eyes lowered.
The white-robed man smiled, "I’m just giving you a choice. Stay and die, or leave and possibly live."
"I’m not leaving. Let’s fight."
Amalia took a deep breath, her eyes widening as spiritual energy surged wildly within her.
The sword in her hand emitted a powerful aura, with spiritual energy compressing and releasing an astonishing presence.
The white-robed man’s expression grew serious as he sensed the change.
A late-stage Foundation Building cultivator could actually unleash a technique rivaling that of a Golden Core cultivator.
At the sa ti, the similar events were happened with Kenny Lin.
The difference was that his opponent was an interdiate stage Golden Core cultivator.
He was faced with the sa choice.
Kenny Lin’s lips slowly curled into a cold, heartless smile as he spoke, "Do you take for a fool? It’s obviously a test. If I run, I will definitely fail."
The man’s face twitched unnaturally.
anwhile, in another location, Wigilia Han and his group, who were watching this scene, were speechless.
"This guy is so interesting. Even though he figured it out, he actually said it out loud. Tsk, tsk, tsk."
"Isn’t he afraid that we might be watching and hear what he said?"
Wigilia Han pondered, "This guy isn’t just smart; he didn’t give the devil a chance to perform. He directly exposed their trick, so he must know about it."
"But even knowing that, he still said it out loud. Isn’t he worried about making a bad impression on us? Either he’s overconfident or he just doesn’t care," a white-robed cultivator remarked with a smile.
"I think it’s the latter. Truly interesting," Alisha Fan said with a look of interest.
Back at the plaza on the mountaintop, Amalia found that her injuries had disappeared.
It turned out to be an illusion after all.
So people had already erged in the plaza.
Not seeing Kenny Lin, Amalia noted that there were several Foundation Building cultivators instead of the expected Golden Core cultivators.
The Golden Core cultivators were very powerful.
For the sa test, unless the illusion matched them with stronger opponents...
A few seconds after Amalia erged, Kenny Lin appeared as well.
"How are you?"
"No problem. I encountered a group of dim-witted devils and beat them to the point of crying for their parents. In the end, they had no choice but to let pass."
With no one else around, Kenny Lin finally showed his true colors, unable to resist being cheeky.
Amalia remained noncommittal and recounted the details of her own test before asking about his situation.
"We had similar experiences. It was a test of strength and character, and you could even add an intelligence test," Kenny Lin said with a shrug.
"It’s not about intelligence; it’s about observation and analytical skills," Amalia retorted while rolling her eyes at him.
Kenny Lin smiled and said nothing more.
Amalia turned around and saw Kiran Xiao erging as well.
"You two ca out so early?" Kiran Xiao asked, looking surprised.
"Not too early, just now. How did it go for you?" Amalia asked.
Kiran Xiao sighed bitterly, "It was terrible. My final opponent was much stronger than . I thought I was going to be killed, but I was suddenly transported out."
"Congratulations, then. We should have passed the test."
Kiran Xiao asked in surprise, "How do you know?"
Amalia explained, "Look around. Over fifty people went in, but only about thirty have co out. I guess the ones who failed were directly transported out."
Kiran Xiao nodded, "I wonder how many more test there are."
"We should find out soon enough," Amalia replied, though she suspected there might not be any more test.
The third test had revealed many things.
Further tests seed unnecessary unless the Green Lotus Sect wanted them to fight each other.
