Jiaojiao’s figure has beco a bit more rounded, while Great Bai hasn’t changed much, still looking like a devoted husband, glancing at Jiaojiao after taking a few bites of bamboo.

When he finds sothing tasty, he takes the initiative to share it with Jiaojiao.

Jiaojiao enjoys eating bamboo leaves, so Great Bai pulls down the best leaves and gives them to her. It’s a wonder how his thick bear paws manage such precise delivery.

Upon seeing Jinya, Jiaojiao barely lifts a paw to greet her, but Great Bai actively moves to sit beside Jiaojiao, leaving a spot for the two of them.

"Great Bai, this is Er Niu, brought by the Two-legged beast from far away; her child is sick."

Hearing this, Jiaojiao and Great Bai stopped eating and looked at Er Niu together.

"h, h, how is the little cub doing now?"

"I don’t know; the Two-legged beast said we must wait longer before treating it." Jinya seems even more agitated than Er Niu, "Er Niu’s baby is really miserable; its dad is such a jerk!"

Er Niu is very silent, the illness of the little cub leaves her unable to be genuinely happy, unless the little cub can successfully undergo surgery, grow up, and be independent like its siblings, she might regain her forr optimism and cheerfulness.

She herself suffered a lot as a child because of her health, and after giving birth to three healthy children, this sole sprout unexpectedly inherited her constitution.

Great Bai looked at Er Niu sympathetically, slowly approached her, and gently touched her forehead with his paw.

"Don’t worry, the Two-legged beast is very good; he will surely make your child healthy and grow strong."

Jiaojiao beside him nodded too, bleating to comfort Er Niu.

Originally, the two were passing by, planning to continue northward for a stroll. Since the family now had a little cub needing care, they, as uncles and aunties of the Jiamu Gully, certainly needed to look after it.

When the four of them returned to the rescue station together, Chen Ying had already finalized the surgery ti and personnel,

naturally, he personally would be the lead surgeon. The first assistant was a student introduced by Professor Bai, and there was an expert recomnded by Professor Everett overseeing the operation.

This expert was the last student of Professor Everett’s ntor, specially researching severe animal neurology, and upon hearing Everett talk about the procedure, he volunteered to co and observe the surgery.

Chen Ying discussed the surgical plan with him as well.

Even though the system provided dical skills as assurance, dical science is continuously improving and developing, and without practical experience, success cannot be guaranteed even with the system.

The system mainly provided diagnostic and internal dicine treatnt approaches and techniques, whereas surgical advancents, driven by technological progress, were relatively faster than internal dicine.

Besides the surgery team, a post-operative care team was also successfully ford, led by Xiao Song. Due to pregnancy, Ruan ngng could only provide technical support, while veterinary clinical research graduates from Chen Ying’s alma mater assisted Xiao Song.

This surgery is quite challenging for humans, let alone animals, since no one has practically done it on animals. After all, high-tech thods are predominantly developed for humans.

In addition to them, clinical dicine experts were also paying attention to the surgery. Although humans and beasts differ greatly, fundantally, the technical key points are common, so they could gain insights by observing Chen Ying’s surgery.

Of course, only a few had such thoughts; most doctors didn’t believe the surgery could succeed and naturally wouldn’t pay attention.

The cats of Jiamu Gully certainly weren’t concerned about these issues, and besides, the surgery didn’t take place at the rescue station or the Protection Station, but rather at the rescue center ten kiloters down the mountain.

Even as impressive as the cats were, they couldn’t possibly form a team to visit the rescue center to see the little cub, thus making Er Niu the focus of their care.

Er Niu was initially a little depressed, especially after being separated from the little cub.

However, with the visits of friends from Jiamu Gully and the drastically different environnt here compared to the wilderness, it piqued her curiosity enough to explore for several days, helping suppress her yearning and worries for the little cub.

Two weeks later, Chen Ying ca to take Er Niu down the mountain.

The little cub wasn’t doing particularly well at the rescue center, presumably due to the unsuitable environnt for snow leopard growth. Although Jiamu Gully is at the edge of the highland, the mountain base’s altitude is only over a thousand ters, which is quite unsuitable for high-altitude animals like snow leopards.

To provide better care for the little cub and help it reach optimal body condition before surgery, experts decided on letting the little cub live at the rescue station for so ti, moving it to the center for surgery once surgery indicators t standards.

Jiamu Gully’s altitude is around two thousand ters, close to Qing Ye’s elevation, which is the lowest height at which snow leopards can freely survive.

To provide the best care for the little cub, all mbers of the surgery team accompanied it to temporarily reside at the Jiamu Valley Protection Station.

With Little Sen and ngng at the rescue station, Xiao Song also moved into ngng’s forr room; for initial nurturing, this setup was sufficient.

All necessary checks at the center were completed within the past two weeks, with the next critical phase being weight gain. Other health staff could commute between the Protection Station and the rescue center as scheduled, posing little burden given the distance.

Like Er Niu, the little cub was a bit tense and anxious upon arriving at the rescue station, constantly searching for its mom. When Chen Ying brought Er Niu down, the little cub rolled and crawled to hide under its mom’s belly.

The little snow leopard cub peeped out a furry head from its mom’s soft abdon fur, looking particularly adorable and endearing.

Jinya squealed, rushing over to hug the little cub and lick it, startling the little cub, which quickly hid back.

Jinya tried to reach under Er Niu’s belly to fetch the cub, but Leopard Sister, annoyed, unapologetically smacked it.

"Alright, get a hold of yourself, you’re scaring the child."

Little Jin also went over to grab Jinya’s ear and dragged it away.

The little cub’s health was delicate, prone to problems, and the Two-legged beast had repeatedly stressed not to frighten it. If Jinya scared it into a sickness, huff o( ̄ヘ ̄o#), Leopard Sister glanced at her sharp claws, then scratched the tree trunk beside her, causing wood chips to fall, instantly calming Jinya.

"Hehe, I, I didn’t an to do it."

After saying this, Jinya hid behind Little Jin. Little Jin sighed helplessly and shot Er Niu an apologetic look.

Er Niu knew Jinya ant no harm, she was just a bit playful and shook her head with a smile, indicating it was okay. She then gently lifted her body slightly, pulled her son out, enclosed him in her arms, and soothingly licked his tiny body.

The little cub, now under its mother’s protection, with its beautiful big eyes secretly watching the surrounding big cats. The familiar scent relaxed it sowhat, then subconsciously its eyes t the cat head peeking from behind Little Lou.
