Foreign Land Reclamation By a Vegetable-growing Skeleton Chapter 1849: 1410: You're Awake? The Swarming Was a Success
Chapter 1849: Chapter 1410: You’re Awake? The Swarming Was a Success
With Ange’s planting ability, as long as this thing can still grow, he can cultivate it. Once the seed sprouts, he just needs to adjust the environnt, supply ample nutrients, and leave everything to ti.
So Ange stepped on the Instant Death Halo.
The young sprout quickly grew, and soon, Ange sensed a weak ssage: Hungry——
Ange poured so water, but the weak ssage didn’t diminish. Instead, possibly due to the nourishnt of the water, the intensity of the ssage increased.
Ange then poured so diluted Insect Ash Liquid on it. It quickly absorbed it but still emitted the ssage: Hungry——Hungry——
Ange had to temporarily remove the Instant Death Halo, then pour so diluted Essence Liquid, sprinkle so compound fertilizer, plant ash, bird droppings, lightning-struck water… it consud everything, but after eating, it still cried out for hunger.
In the end, Ange had no choice but to pour so Chaos Liquid Drops, which were instantly absorbed, finally reducing the frequency of the hungry cries a bit.
Then Ange summoned a bit of Star Fla, slowly approaching the Deceit Tree Seedling. The seedling seed to go mad, crazily extending its branches, quickly wrapping around the Starfire, completely ignoring the fact that the Star Fla was scorching it into carbon.
Despite the constant scorching and carbonization, the Deceit Tree Seedling grew rapidly. The carbonized parts split open, secreting a pus-like liquid that covered its surface, preventing the Star Fla from burning it further.
It wasn’t that the flas couldn’t burn it, but they needed to evaporate the moisture on the pustules first to reach the inner parts. Yet, the evaporation speed couldn’t keep up with the secretion of the pustules, maintaining a balance. When the surface of the pustules dried up, they left a semi-transparent hardened layer that isolated the heat outside.
Soon, a Star Fla was absorbed clean by the Deceit Tree Seedling, and the short seedling grew into a robust little tree.
Ange’s thoughts swept over, and despite his vast experience, the form of the Deceit Tree still left him a bit dumbfounded. Inside the lignin-composed trunk, the veins flowed with a dark green liquid that resembled blood.
At every intersection of the tree veins, there was a contracting chamber, like a heart. Each contraction pumped the liquid rapidly throughout the body.
And between the lignin, there were also so fascia-like structures. When these contracted, the whole Deceit Tree could move, combining the characteristics of animals and plants, which was beyond Ange’s understanding.
However, even though he didn’t understand, Ange could still grow it, occasionally feeding it so Star Fla, watering it, and fertilizing it, then giving it so nutrient solution.
Originally, Ange intended to feed it raw at, but later discovered that the nutrient solution was more absorbable than raw at.
“This thing eats everything, doesn’t it? If I plant one in the city, could it clear away all the kitchen waste every day?” Durken couldn’t help but say.
“Are you crazy? Using the Deceit Tree to clear kitchen waste? Aren’t you afraid it would clear out all the living creatures in the city?” Negris was shocked by Durken’s whimsical idea.
Durken scratched his head and said, “Then what else can it be used for?”
Negris was stunned, realizing it indeed might not have much use. It couldn’t be used for farming, like the World Tree could shelter crop growth… Ah, why did it go back to farming again? Negris angrily grabbed his head, realizing that subconsciously, his own thinking was influenced by Ange, evaluating sothing’s usefulness by farming standards. He didn’t use to be like this.
But… if it can’t be used for farming, then what is it good for?
At that mont, the Deceit Tree suddenly emitted a strong ssage: Where——Where——Where——
Plant ssages are rather ambiguous things, like ‘I want to bloom’ or ‘I’m going to wither.’ It’s not a language per se, but just by looking at it, you can sense the information it conveys.
Now, a clear ssage was conveyed from the Deceit Tree Seedling, seemingly searching for its location.
After so ti, the Deceit Tree Seedling suddenly started to wither.
This sudden, unanticipated change left even Ange bewildered. He imdiately fed it a Star Fla, then the Star Fla Avatar emitted a bright light, followed by a few waves of Insect Ash Liquid.
But it was of no use; the Deceit Tree Seedling quickly withered, shrinking into a lump.
“You… you killed it? How is this possible?” Negris said in shock, his tone full of disbelief.
How could it be possible? How could Ange kill a plant? He is the God of Farming, after all.
Ange was also confused, his figure appeared sturdy, and the phantom of the God of Farming erged behind him. He then looked firmly at the withering Deceit Tree Seedling.
Even if it were truly dead, it didn’t matter; he still had so seeds and cuttings, so he could try again. But he must understand why it withered.
Yet, even with the God of Farming summoned, Ange couldn’t discern why the Deceit Tree Seedling withered. While he was pondering, Durken suddenly said: “Sir, this seems to be going through swarm division developnt.”
“Swarm division developnt?” Negris asked with doubt, and Ange also turned his gaze over.
Durken quickly explained: “When a bee colony reaches a certain scale, it will split into a new swarm. A new queen bee will be born in the new swarm. Or if the queen bee unexpectedly dies, a specific individual in the swarm will develop into the new queen bee.”
At this point, Durken suddenly seed to recall sothing and said: “Right, the Life Box, the witch’s life box, also operates on this principle. When it can’t sense the soul contact of the main body, the witch-lich’s coffin will nurture a new soul and imprint the mories into it.”
“You’re saying this Deceit Tree Seedling is developing into a new Deceit Tree and possibly imprinting mories?” Negris summarized Durken’s words.
“It’s very possible. Earlier, didn’t it emit the ssage ‘Where’? It’s likely sensing the main body. Without sensing it, it either self-destructs or redevelops into a new main body. It seems very similar to the Life Box chanism,” said Durken.
“So, it’s purely a swarm chanism. No wonder Ange’s God of Farming couldn’t identify the problem,” Negris realized with sudden understanding.
And sure enough, after waiting a while, from the withered remnants balled up, a tiny sprout of green quietly erged, a new tender bud started growing again.
Just the slightest sprout, and everyone could sense its difference.
“Such strong life force,” Negris said.
“Indeed, such surging life force. I said it, this Deceit Tree isn’t just an ordinary thing. How could it really be as weak as it appeared earlier? This is the true Deceit Tree.” Durken couldn’t help saying.
Realizing this was the real Deceit Tree, Ange imdiately planted a Puppet Snake seed nearby. Soon, the two plants grew symbiotically, getting thicker and sturdier, and slowly, a consciousness erged in the Deceit Tree.
After an unknown amount of ti, the new Deceit Tree extended a thought, imdiately seeing the surrounding people. Seeing its thought cast over, Negris said excitedly: “Are you awake? The swarming was a success.”
