Foreign Land Reclamation By a Vegetable-growing Skeleton Chapter 1815 - 1376: King Fei Lie Might Be Here
Found it, but the combat power of the Deceit Tree was beyond the Monarch’s expectations. After he punched and shattered sixteen jointed Deceit Trees in front of him, several puppet-like Deceitful Tree n behind him wielding newly grown jointed limbs fiercely pounced on him. Moreover, more Deceitful Tree n started to grow jointed limbs they never had before, ready to attack at any mont.
The Monarch instinctively observed the surroundings, with every detail captured.
The Monarch’s combat skills were incredibly strong. Often, without relying on level superiority, he could kill enemies through sheer skill. Where did this skill co from? From the minutest observation of the battlefield and the enemy.
He noticed that the Deceit Trees he had just shattered, the corpses fell to the ground, and those thorn-covered grounds imdiately extended tendrils that plunged into the remains, swiftly absorbing them.
He observed the puppet-like Deceitful Tree n around him gradually regaining mobility, as if so consciousness projected onto them, beginning to control them to grow new jointed limbs.
He saw certain areas of the thorns begin to wilt while others grew rapidly, producing more Deceitful Tree n. This stark contrast indicated so form of significant energy transfer.
He also noticed that the newly grown limbs of the Deceitful Tree n, only the very tip maintained its form, while the part from the tip to the body beca significantly thinner, as if concentrating all the essence in the tip, disregarding the strength of the limb.
All these observations were captured in the blink of battles. During this process, the Monarch shattered dozens of Deceitful Tree n, one punch at a ti.
At this mont, the Monarch suddenly realized why the Deceitful Tree n concentrated their essence at the limb’s tip: they never got a second chance to attack. It didn’t matter how the limb grew, as long as the tip could pierce through, making it thinner saved energy.
While the Monarch was observing, the Deceit Tree was also adapting and evolving.
Knowing the Deceitful Tree n’s strategy, the Monarch imdiately adjusted accordingly, his hands miming a grip — Death Scythe.
The Death Scythe could reap souls, but essentially it was a Soul Armor condensed from Chaos Mist. It was also sharp for slicing enemies. Since strength was sacrificed for the sake of the attack, targeting the fragile limbs was the best approach.
Moreover, the Death Scythe was unusually long. The Monarch swung it rapidly; the Deceitful Tree n were diced before they could even get close.
Further away, the Deceitful Tree n broke off limbs and hurled them — Jointed Spears.
The Monarch wanted to dodge, but then decided against it. Instead, he used his arm to block the tip, curious to see if the painstakingly reinforced limb tips could harm him.
Bam! The tip struck the Monarch’s arm, exploding with great force. However, after the fragnts scattered, the Monarch’s arm remained unscathed upon close inspection.
Having gauged the limb tip’s power, the Monarch understood the situation. The Death Scythe swung more fiercely, wildly and boldly, no Deceitful Tree n could approach. Only a few of the hurled limb tips could barely hit him.
The main issue was their density. It reminded the Monarch of the Skeleton Sea; the Tree Sea was denser. The Deceitful Tree n rushed toward him like fearless moths to a fla, relentless and endless.
The corpses of those Deceitful Tree n killed by the Monarch fell to the ground, soon absorbed by tendrils to nourish new Deceitful Tree n.
Such intense fighting even showed signs of turning into a war of attrition? The Monarch thought for a mont and abandoned those Deceitful Tree n, rose into the air, and crashed into the plant wall.
Entering the sa way he exited, the Monarch smashed all the way through the ball of thorns and erged into the void outside.
It seed this thorn ball was its main body — smash.
Just like when the Big Round Devil paved roads, whether there was a path or not, a straight road was crushed out by its passage. Repeating this, the nurical advantage of the Deceitful Tree n vanished.
The huge thorn ball was smashed straight through by the Monarch. Countless thorns struggled to grow, trying to repair the break. But before the patch was completed, the Monarch turned and smashed into the thorn ball again, opening another straight opening.
After several repetitions, the legs of the Deceitful Tree n grew spring-like limbs, catching up with the Monarch in a few jumps, breaking off limbs and hurling them.
The Monarch faced the oncoming Jointed Spears, smashing his way into the center of the thorn ball and bursting out from the other side.
The thorns began to unfold, no longer forming a complete sphere but expanding into more vine tips and new branches, making it ’fluffy.’ Thus, the Monarch found it more challenging to smash through the thorn ball and could potentially get trapped inside.
The Monarch imdiately switched strategies, fiercely stomping on the fluffy thorn ball — boom!
This wasn’t a typical move, but rather the Mourning-level Skeleton moving through the void, deliberately increasing force with each step. The impact area exploded, the fluffy thorn part blown away, and a large pit burst open at the point of impact. The sprawling thorns shattered.
The two sides engaged in a battle of wits and courage, constantly changing tactics to exploit their advantages. How much ti passed was unknown, but suddenly the Deceit Tree stopped attacking, allowing the Monarch to shatter its branches.
Its voice resonated in the Monarch’s ear: "I’ve already killed several Black Crystal Skeletons, but I can’t harm Star Skeletons. Clearly, you’re fundantally no different from Black Crystal Skeletons, just so energy reaction in the bodies. Yet your power has changed drastically, can you tell what this change is called?"
"I won’t tell you," the Monarch replied, concentrating on smashing things.
Only a fool would reveal it. The Deceit Tree’s sixteen-jointed limb form, with a Black Crystal on its back — if it mastered the secret of the Star Skeletons and transford the Black Crystal into Chaos Black Crystal, it would be even harder to deal with.
Since the Deceit Tree had given up, no longer restoring broken parts, the thorn ball broke apart rapidly.
Before it was completely destroyed, the Deceit Tree continued: "I’ve already struck a deal with your companion. Perhaps we could trade too. You tell how to beco a Star Skeleton, and I’ll offer you sothing you consider valuable."
"I want King Fei Lie’s skeleton, go kill him," said the Monarch.
The Monarch’s stubborn stance left the Deceit Tree silent.
The Monarch fell silent too, focusing again on destruction. However, as he smashed away, he noticed so portions of the thorns had beco nonviable. What looked hard on the surface crumbled upon impact.
It seed the Deceit Tree had completely given up, retracting its final strength.
The Monarch was ntally prepared; an entity like the Deceit Tree couldn’t be easily killed. Losing such a vast branch would pain it for a while. As long as its branches were consistently destroyed, it would beco weaker, eventually becoming an insignificant plant.
The last part of the thorns was about to be shattered when the Deceit Tree’s voice arose again: "King Fei Lie might be here."
