Chapter 1570: Chapter 1131: You Really Know How to Persuade People
Seeing Ange suddenly transform into a mber of the Celestial Descendant Clan, the Great Speaker was utterly perplexed. What was going on?
Even when the space shattered and he fell into an unknown place, the Great Speaker still hadn’t comprehended the situation.
This was, after all, a Celestial Descendant Clan. Also known as the Star God’s Body, Nage referred to it as the Minor Source Physique. Regardless of what na it was called, it was a subordinate version of the Primordial Body, lower by half a rank.
Within the Divine Light Alliance, the Great Speaker’s superior was a Celestial Descendant, and North Corona was also a Celestial Descendant. Although both were of the Minor Source tier, their strengths were absolutely not equivalent.
North Corona’s capabilities were actually inferior to the Great Speaker’s, but the Great Speaker’s superior possessed a power that inspired reverence, so even among the Celestial Descendant Clan, there were varying levels of strength.
Ange’s Minor Source Physique was crafted from white crystal over thousands of years, through long-distance projection by an unknown entity from a distant plane. It was the most basic form of a Minor Source.
However, this Minor Source Physique had landed in the hands of Ange, who possessed true Origin power.
Since Ange’s true body wasn’t present, he couldn’t unleash the full force of his Origin powers. Yet with a Minor Source Physique, which was lower by half a rank, and driven by his Origin Power, he could instantly exhibit extraordinary strength.
One fierce collision sent the Great Speaker hurtling into another part of the Void. Well, the coffin was now useless.
Realizing this, the Great Speaker finally understood why Anthony had said, “Don’t use your coffin.”
Seeing the Great Speaker still dazed, Ange stepped back a few paces to give him space. Then, with a single hand, he rubbed out a Teleportation Array and summoned Anthony over directly.
“This… he… who is he?” the Great Speaker asked urgently, too flustered to even account for being thrown over.
Anthony smiled faintly and dodged the question with one of his own: “Who do you think he is?”
“Does the Lord not trust ? Sent him to supervise ?” the Great Speaker asked with a furrowed brow.
“Wrong guess. We co from here—this is our Lord’s Imprint.” Anthony pointed to the direction of the distant plane where the unknown entity resided and revealed the Imprint embedded in the white crystal.
That unknown entity would probably never have imagined that soone would impersonate it from such a remote plane. Alas, it had no way to co and expose the fraud.
To forge sothing convincingly, it always had to be part truth and part falsehood—or nine parts truth and one part lie. Clearly, even the Great Speaker was aware of that unknown entity. After Anthony pointed out the direction, the Great Speaker scrutinized it carefully, and his expression changed dramatically as he exclaid, “You co from Gez Fortress!?”
Anthony tily displayed a look of confusion: “Is that what you call our Lord? Why do you call it Gez Fortress?”
Anthony was gambling—that the Great Speaker and the unknown entity were not allied, perhaps even unfamiliar with each other, and very likely didn’t even know its na due to the sheer distance between them.
Blurting out a na like “Gez Fortress,” which turned out to be a codena they had privately assigned, gave Anthony all the information he needed. You can’t assu soone would know a nickna you secretly created for them.
The Great Speaker quickly caught on: “That’s just the codena we gave you because we don’t know your actual na. What does your Lord call himself?”
Anthony deflected again: “You still haven’t told why you call us ‘Gez Fortress.’ Explain how you ca up with that na first.”
“Uh, because your spectral data looks like this—when converted to soundwave patterns, it results in sothing like: Ge—hmm hmm hmm—z—boom! And so it was transliterated to ‘Gez.’ The final ‘boom’ is because we couldn’t convert such high frequencies during the soundwave transformation—it exploded. Technically, it should be ‘Ge-hmm-z-boom,’ but for easier pronunciation, we settled on ‘Gez Fortress,'” the Great Speaker explained.
“Oh, understandable, reasonable, appropriate, amusing. We’ll use that na then. Our Lord originally had no na; he is the Ancient Godlight, the sole illumination upon us since ti immorial. By your translation, he should be called Ancient Godlight. But since you already have one so nad here, let’s go with Gez Fortress. Hello, I’m Anthony, from Gez Fortress. Ha.”
Anthony couldn’t help but laugh as he finished, delighted that even the naming work had been done for him first.
The Great Speaker frowned and asked, “Then what about your Lord of Light and God of Farming? What are their divine roles about?”
“Those divine bodies, slain by Godslayers, are rely ideal vessels for consciousness mapping. But when consciousness is just mapped into them, we’re still fragile—making us targets for Godslayer pursuits and exterminations. That’s how we ended up here. I must thank you for your shelter during that ti. Now, however, our Lord has restored great power to us. Co forth!” Anthony shouted loudly.
Waiting in the wings all along, Ursman, Red Star, and Truth Cannon Walker slowly floated into view.
The Great Speaker gasped audibly. If there had only been Ange as a Celestial Descendant, he might still harbor so doubts. But with four Celestial Descendants appearing together, there could be no second explanation—they had to be sent from Gez Fortress.
“Why… why have you co here?” the Great Speaker suddenly felt a weighty pressure. This backing was terrifyingly strong.
Anthony answered calmly: “Soone has triggered a Light Disaster. Our Lord instructed us to investigate who dares to be so brazen.”
“What? Not !” The Great Speaker instinctively denied.
“But you know who it is, don’t you? Tell . Where is he?” Anthony asked.
“I… I… I…” The Great Speaker stamred, glancing nervously at Ange and the others.
Red Star had long been unable to hold back. Crossing his arms in front of him—left hand reaching to the right and right hand crossing to the left—he slowly traced a motion. His palms emitted red light trails that eventually ford a pentagram.
With the pentagram as a base, imnse energy began to converge. Red Star cupped his hands as if grasping and pressed down hard—transforming the pentagram into an Energy Sphere radiating intense vibrations, its energy continuing to build.
Red Star held the Energy Sphere in front of him, his eager gaze locked onto the Great Speaker, poised to release it at any mont.
Truth Cannon Walker didn’t lag behind either, pressing his hands to his shoulders as layer after layer of Arrays began forming, slowly assembling into a small Starburst Array.
Even before the Starburst Array was fully ford, the overwhelming energy amassing within was enough to send the Great Speaker’s heart racing. Starting off with such destructive moves—these Celestial Descendants were undeniably monstrous.
At this point, doubting their authenticity was impossible. North Corona also wielded a super-powerful World-Ending Magic Formation.
Panicking, the Great Speaker frantically waved his arms several tis, but couldn’t sense the coffins. It suddenly dawned on him—he hadn’t brought them along.
With his greatest defensive fallback gone, the Great Speaker gave a bitter smile and asked, “What did you say Lea invited you here for?”
“Oh, Lea said you were deeply dejected and asked to cheer you up,” Anthony replied as though suddenly rembering his purpose.
“And you haven’t started cheering up yet?” the Great Speaker remarked.
Anthony gave him a deep look and said, “There’s no need. They probably won’t live much longer. The Light Disaster will surely intensify further, and when the Tree of Life fails to withstand it, most planes of the Void will experience total crop failure. The Life Species will descend into chaos, slaughtering one another.”
“Lea, being so fond of her beauty, surely wouldn’t choose to reincarnate as a Necromancer. So, she will likely starve to death soon. Without your protection, all life in the Zhuo Shan Dinsion will perish. The Divine Light Alliance, which you painstakingly founded—its ancestors followed you in forging paths through the Void—will also et extinction.”
“Your superior will gather the consciousness and souls of everyone so thoroughly that they won’t even have a chance to reincarnate as undead. Perhaps this was always their fate—to be cultivated and harvested by you. All we need to do now is wait. Once he’s done collecting, he will inevitably appear.”
“And as for you, you seem uninterested in shielding them anymore. So, since they’ll all die anyway, what difference does cheering them up make?” Anthony spread his hands apart.
The Great Speaker stared in amazent: “You… you really know how to cheer soone up.”
