Chapter 1477: Chapter 1038: Why is there an old friend here?

Ange raised a finger, and the Little Ghost appeared, burping out a fist-sized ‘stone’.

“Is this the power nucleus of that shadow? Could it really be the Undying Divine Fire?” Negris asked in shock.

The Little Ghost had a unique ability: it could condense the powers it swallowed into physical objects. Before, it had consud quite a bit of Divine Power, and just now Ange had thrown half of the shadow to it. Now, it spat out a stone, which was clearly the condensed essence of that half-shadow’s power.

They needed fire now, and Ange had the Little Ghost release this thing. The most probable candidate was the Undying Divine Fire.

That shadow was actually the Undying Divine Fire? Personally burning down soone’s granary? How humiliating. Doesn’t it have any fanatics, divine envoys, or spokespersons to act on its behalf?

Ange took out the Little Fla and pointed towards the ‘stone’.

The Little Fla looked at Ange, then at the stone, and incredulously pointed at itself.

Ange nodded.

The Little Fla hesitated, glancing at the Little Ghost and then the Little Sapling, whispering softly: “Huh?”

The Little Ghost floated down and slapped the Little Fla on its forehead, imitating exactly how Ange would slap the Little Angel.

Although the Little Fla clutched its head, its mood beca excited as it cheered and charged at the stone, pouncing on it and wrapping it in flas.

The surface of the stone began to lt, releasing a layer of black flas, which were then encased within the Little Fla’s red flas, forming a dual-layered structure of fire.

Before long, the red flas transford into a Little Fireman, standing upright while clutching the stone, letting out an excited: “Huh—!”

“Do you have to be so excited? You’re the Plane Consciousness—show so dignity!” Negris complained, disgusted by the Little Fla’s overly-exuberant behavior.

Ange shook his head: “Big fla but not strong; Divine Fire strong but not big.”

Negris understood: “So what you’re saying is, even though the Little Fla is the Plane Consciousness, its power derives from its size, but its power level isn’t as high as the Undying Divine Fire?”

Ange nodded.

“So you’re giving the Undying Divine Fire to the Little Fla, so now it can be both big and strong.” Negris had an epiphany.

The Little Fla, now in humanoid form, held the half-lted stone near its stomach and darted around excitedly. It hardly looked like it had beco big and strong.

Once it had adapted sufficiently, Ange pointed at the giant clay jar: “Burn.”

“Huh!” The usually reluctant and indifferent Little Fla, who would only move if the Little Ghost slapped it, was now incredibly proactive. At Ange’s command, it darted forward and sped off towards the clay jar, crashing into it in a burst of fire.

Negris hastily shouted: “Be careful! Don’t destroy the jar. Such a large pottery piece, if the firing speed isn’t uniform, it can easily crack.”

Firing big pottery isn’t an easy task. After shaping it, the clay must first dry slowly. The drying process is delicate; humidity and temperature need to be maintained. It can’t be too fast or too slow, and sotis a little water needs to be sprinkled, or the surface may crack.

After drying, the firing process requires gradual heating. It cannot be rushed or uneven; temperatures must remain consistent. Otherwise, the outer layers may harden while the inner parts remain soft, leading to fractures.

There’s even a type of ceramic craft that intentionally causes surface cracks to achieve a glazed surface with a cracked effect.

But these challenges are only magnified when firing large pottery pieces. Ange’s current project, called a ‘giant’ pottery jar, is several orders of magnitude more difficult than ordinary large pottery. Negris had never seen such a massive piece before—if it existed, it would surely be considered a miracle.

However, Ange was basically a god. Everything he did was a miracle, so Negris didn’t imdiately advise giving up. Still, he couldn’t help but habitually caution him.

The Little Fla heeded the warning. Flas spread around the jar’s surface and seeped into the clay. Before long, the entire jar was ablaze.

“Alright, so now you’re using mud as fuel to burn itself? Truly amazing, this Undying Divine Fire.” Negris exclaid in astonishnt.

Burning itself is a basic property of fire. Light a wooden stick, and it will burn itself to ash. But igniting soil? The Undying Divine Fire was beyond the bounds of common reason.

From inside to outside, maintaining precise temperature control, a fifty-ter-wide, fifty-ter-tall pottery jar was fired into completion.

One jar wasn’t enough. Ange proceeded to fire nine more. Starting with the second one, the first completed pottery piece—calling it a jar felt too insulting—it was more like a reservoir. Let’s call it a ‘pottery reservoir.’

With the first pottery reservoir completed, Ange began adding ingredients: malt, clean water, and suitable yeast.

Thanks to the Chaos Mist, the biggest advantage now was having seeds—for example, yeast strains. If you needed to find new ones, it would be quite troubleso, but as long as you had a tiny amount, Ange could cultivate vast batches quickly.

As for brewing alcohol, that was far simpler. Ange selected several different processes to brew six kinds of beer using malt as the primary material.

Silver coin rubbed his hands eagerly: “Now there’s no waste; this is going to be a huge profit.”

In the early stages of brewing, he couldn’t use the Instant Death Halo because yeast had a short lifespan. If he used the halo, the yeast would die before being able to spread far enough during their brief lifeti.

Just like when Ange had used the Instant Death Halo on bugs in the past, they couldn’t even reach anyone before dying.

However, once the yeast had converted sugars into alcohol and reached the aging stage, then using the Instant Death Halo could significantly speed up the process. Two days would yield ten-year vintage beer, and a couple of weeks could produce eighty-two-year-aged malt liquor. Profits were guaranteed.

With the malt processed and the risk of waste eliminated, Ange finally took a mont to relax.

Anthony seized the opportunity to report: “Lord, the food distribution is going smoothly. I divided the process into small, frequent batches to ensure no one goes hungry.”

Ange tilted his head.

Anthony quickly switched topics; he knew Ange disliked hearing about such matters, but he couldn’t completely omit them.

“Durken has revised the control locks on the Heaven and Earth Shocking Thunder Defensive Magic Array; without our certification, no wizard can activate it. And even if it’s activated, we can cut it off any ti—it won’t happen again that our own Defensive Array ends up attacking us.”

“I’ve surveyed multiple City Lords across various areas. Over the past few years, many people from other Planes have migrated here. Migration between Planes isn’t uncommon, but these people all share one trait: they’re obsessed with buying land. They’ve frantically bought up all unused arable land, leaving almost none behind.”

Negris couldn’t help but ask: “What’s the big deal? Buying farmable land isn’t strange. If they’re settling here, isn’t buying land their first priority? Maybe they’re just farrs.”

“Are you a farr? Would you migrate to a place where the sun doesn’t shine?” Anthony asked.

“Then why would they buy land here?” Negris frowned.

Anthony replied: “Unless, they know that soday, other places will beco unfit for farming, but this place will remain unaffected.”

Negris’s expression shifted: “Light Disaster? They know the Light Disaster will happen?”

Anthony shrugged: “That, I don’t know. Could be a coincidence. But what’s even more coincidental is that most of these people belong to our old friends.”

“Old friends? You said this started years ago. We hadn’t even been to the Divine Light Alliance back then—how could we have old friends here?” Negris asked, confused.

“We do. The Black Rope Corps.”
