Chapter 1298: Chapter 861: Can’t Get Through Chapter 1298: Chapter 861: Can’t Get Through Lightning stood atop the tree canopy, shouting toward the far reaches of the void, “Lord, co back quickly, the tide has receded, hurry back!!”

After several shouts, Lightning muttered, “Does yelling like this really work? Can the Lord even hear ?”

Abyssal Big Mouth replied, “He probably can, since we’re idle anyway, I’ll help you carry your voice farther.”

“Lord Abyss, I never expected you to be such an abyss? What’s with this idleness, I’m very busy, you know, stop licking.” By the end of the sentence, it shook its head vigorously, flinging a small cat from the fur on its head.

The small cat found it quite amusing, turning in mid-air and pouncing toward Lightning again.

A spark of electricity flashed atop Lightning’s horn, but clenched its teeth, and the spark dimd down, allowing the cat to pounce on its face and lick it furiously.

Forget whether its spark could harm a Dinsion Beast, even if it could, Lightning wouldn’t dare act rashly. Otherwise, the cat’s owner, an Ancient God Hunter and a cat slave, would tear it apart.

Before leaving with the team of Dark Origin, the Goddess of Starfire left the care of the small cat to Lightning, not expecting this Dinsion Beast’s habits to be so poor, actually enjoying licking people.

Well then, what goes around cos around, Lightning thought and stuck out its big tongue, giving the little cat a furious lick, ending up drenching it, like a drowned rat.

While Lightning and the small cat were playing, deep within the Chaos Plane, in the domain of the Monarch, the Undead God suddenly rose, drifting to an empty space. It then materialized, gripped the Death Scythe, planted it in front of itself, and slightly bent forward into a steady stance.

Boom! A long void pierced through the mist behind the Undead God, as sothing ca through, manifesting in front of them.

Ange glanced over and saw that indeed it had been flung back, quickly pulling everyone out of the Dinsional Space, starting with the Monarch, then Anthony and Negriss, and finally, the soul of Tuxi Rikis.

“It really works? How did it shoot over to here?” Negriss questioned, looking at the Undead God and the distant realm of the Monarch with bewildernt.

Since it was a projectile anyway, why not directly back to the sanctuary? The distance from here to the sanctuary was quite far, and now, without the snail, getting back to the sanctuary just got even more difficult.

Ange replied, “This, an anchor point, stable.”

To support a projection over hundreds of millions of kiloters, a stable anchor point was necessary, and the only thing that could withstand that type of teleportation was the Undead Godhood.

Having left the Monarch’s domain, everyone flew towards the sanctuary, but midflight, the Monarch suddenly ntioned, “It seems like the tide has indeed stopped.”

Ange nodded; he had felt it as soon as he returned. During the tide, the Chaos Plane was so tumultuous that even Soul Contact beca vague. Even though it wouldn’t break off, it was impossible to send ssages to his people. Now, the Soul Contact was much clearer. Even amidst the Chaos Mist, he could distinctly sense the existence of his people in the sanctuary.

Due to the tide halting, the Chaos Plane was shrinking, and the mist appeared particularly dense.

In this manner, they flew out of the Chaos Mist region, finding the void had opened up considerably.

In the past, the Chaos Mist hadn’t spread to these areas, so the void was littered with various kinds of debris: broken planes, remnants of Divine Trees, floating Giant Rock iceblocks, and such. But now, all this debris had vanished.

“Eh, where did all the debris go? Did the tide push them away?” Negriss exclaid in surprise.

The Monarch said, “I know why they disappeared, but I’m not telling you.”

“You old immortal, when did you beco such a tease? If you don’t want to tell , then don’t say you know,” Negriss grumbled.

The Monarch laughed, “I learned it from you.”

“Ptui! When have I ever been such a tease? No way, Ange, do you know why?” Negriss turned to Ange and asked.

“The King says he won’t tell you,” Ange replied.

“Argh, you dead skull, just tell , or I’ll nag you to death,” Negriss said angrily.

But trying to pry information out of Ange by nagging was like talking to a brick wall; it herself got tired quickly, though it did have so guesses by now, surely related to that secret the Monarch ntioned.

What could be the secret that both the Monarch and Ange were keeping so tightly sealed, not revealing even a hint of it to it?

This, of course, wasn’t a matter of distrust; rather, it was simply that it didn’t have the ability to keep a secret. After all, in the hands of those powerful entities, no secret could be kept, with all manner of soul-searching and mory-reading techniques available. Without sufficient strength, secrets couldn’t be guarded, so it was better off not knowing anything at all.

After spending quite so ti, everyone finally made it back to the shelter.

“Eh, Abyssal Big Mouth, why are you here? Didn’t you set off with the Dark Origin? Oh my, a clone!” Negriss exclaid as it suddenly smacked its thigh, realizing the reason.

The Super Speed Snail was a clone; having ventured too far from its body, it had to interrupt its journey and return first. Abyssal Big Mouth was clearly for the sa reason—its clone had strayed too far from the body.

Abyssal Big Mouth wore a sullen expression and nodded, “The snail returned first and it looks like it was also because the clone was too distant. You’re back so quickly, you must have failed, too. Now only the Dark Origin’s team remains, but if you all failed, their chances don’t look too good.”

“Ah? Failed? What failure?” Negriss was baffled.

“Do I need to spell it out? The snail ca back first, and you, relying on your own flight, would need at least six or seven months to reach a probable location. You’ve returned in only five months, which ans you turned back after just two and a half months of flight; it’s impossible you found anything,” Abyssal Big Mouth said irritably.

So it seems their quick return had led Big Mouth to mistake it for a mission abort.

“So that’s what you an by failure? Heehee, I don’t know if it was a failure, but we flew one hundred eighty million kiloters and found a Mage Tower, a human, a Dinsional Space. The Hole Bug swallowed up the Mage Tower, and we returned so quickly because we learned a new teleportation thod,” Negriss said, tail aloft with pride.

“A Mage Tower?” Abyssal Big Mouth turned to Anthony, as Negriss’s words sounded too far-fetched. A Mage Tower tens of millions of kiloters away? Pull the other one.

Anthony nodded and went into detail for Abyssal Big Mouth. When it heard that it was only possible for the Hole Bug to devour the Mage Tower, Abyssal Big Mouth understood, “So you swallowed the Void Will’s contingency plan?”

Hole Bug, being of Space Origin, could make even the most stable point brittle in its mouth.

“Although we didn’t find the Void Will, since its anchor point was here, it’s likely on the other side. Can you contact the Dark Origin’s team? See what the situation is?” Abyssal Big Mouth said, excited.

The existence of the Mage Tower confird their speculation; it was very possible that the Void Will was hiding on the other end of the central axis of the Chaos Plane. Once they located it, eliminating it wouldn’t be an impossible task.

Ange pulled out the Little Demon King, and as soon as it appeared, the Little Demon King couldn’t wait to say, “My Lord, I was just about to look for you. The Great Devil sent a ssage; they’ve been stopped by sothing and can’t get through.”
