Foreign Land Reclamation By a Vegetable-growing Skeleton Chapter 1134 - 1134 698 Just Let Him Bathe in the Holy Light
Chapter 1134: Chapter 698: Just Let Him Bathe in the Holy Light Chapter 1134: Chapter 698: Just Let Him Bathe in the Holy Light The Great Devil had just transferred back when everything that the Little Devil had created began to crumble and vanish without a trace. It took a good while for the Great Devil to understand what had happened, and he asked in confusion, “Why? Why deceive into coming back?”
The Little Devil, troubled, explained his situation, leaving the Great Devil baffled, “That works? How did you do it?”
“How should I know how it’s done? Probably because there’s a Soul Brand inscribed on the Blank God Statue that I couldn’t see. The soul transfer happens when one’s defenses are at their weakest, so I guess that’s when I got caught,” the Little Devil said.
“It must be because you didn’t look carefully enough,” the Great Devil said.
“I did look carefully, over and over again,” the Little Devil said.
“If you looked carefully, then why did you still get hit?” the Great Devil asked.
“Because it was simply impossible to see,” the Little Devil defended.
The two quickly fell into a logical loop of “You definitely didn’t look closely” “If you did, why did you still get hit?” “Getting hit ans you weren’t careful,” much like the parents of students who had flunked their exams.
However, this was no exam, and there was no chance for a retake. After arguing for a while, the Little Devil King said, “You should go. Inform the Abyss of my situation. It should not bla you, and if we et again, we might be enemies.”
The Great Devil King said, “You’re thinking too simply. With your current situation, do you think I dare to return?”
The Little Devil King said, “What is there to fear? It was I who tricked you into coming back. If the Abyss is to bla anyone, it will bla . Do you really think it could kill you?”
The Great Devil King laughed, “Why not? Do you think we were chosen to be Ancient God Hunters because of our loyalty and trustworthiness? Why not choose other Ancient Gods? Is it because of our reliability?”
The Little Devil King showed a disgusted expression. Loyalty was nonexistent, at least between them and the Abyssal Big Mouth.
“We were chosen as Ancient God Hunters because we have the power to slay other Ancient Gods. If we didn’t have this power, would our loyalty matter to the Abyss?” the Great Devil King said, “Without you, I’ve lost my greatest value to the Abyss. If I return, it might devour in one bite. You don’t think it would show sentintality, do you?”
Sentintality, responsibility, loyalty, and the like were unnecessary for Ancient Gods. No one would believe that a big mouth devouring the sunlight of the Void would talk about feelings, right?
“What should we do?” the Little Devil King didn’t know what to do either.
“You now… do you have a God Status? Can you survive outside of the Chaos Plane?” the Great Devil King asked.
The Little Devil King was stunned. He had never considered this question, preoccupied with his annoyance. Only when reminded did he realize, “Oh right, I have a God Status now. Can I leave the Chaos Plane?!”
“I heard that outside the Chaos Plane, in the Void, creatures are weak and can’t destroy a Plane even at full strength. They highly revere mighty forces, will establish religions to worship them, and even our tainted Bloodline, those corrupted demons, are revered by them as sothing like Devil Kings of Hell.”
“Then, can I find so remote place, breed a bunch of intelligent creatures, and have them worship for fun?” the Little Devil King asked excitedly.
The Great Devil King said enviously, “Indeed you can, if your Master allows it.”
Initially thinking he had lost everything, the Little Devil King suddenly realized that he had perhaps gained sothing of great value. His mood instantly brightened, and he then asked, “What about you?”
The Great Demon King thought for a mont, then suddenly reached up and forcefully shaved off one of his twisted horns, “Give this to your Master God and tell him I am already dead.”
The Little Demon King shook his head, “That won’t work, the restrictions of Soul Contact prevent from lying to my Lord or defying his commands. Even if he orders to kill you, I can only comply.”
“His command this ti was to deceive you into coming back. It’s only now that I can speak with you. If his command had been ‘deceive you to co back and kill you,’ it would have been either you or I dead by now. So the next ti we et, you must be wary of , lest I end up killing you,” the Little Demon King warned.
The Great Demon King’s face turned ugly as he said, “This damned Soul Contact is truly terrifying. However, he didn’t ask you to hide it, so just tell him the truth. They should be able to understand my aning.”
…
When the Little Demon King conveyed the words of the Great Demon King to Ange, Anthony imdiately understood, “Does he want to stay neutral? Under what circumstances did he say this to you? Was it while discussing God Status? Does he an that we should consider him when we have an excess of God Status? He’s got so pretty wishful thinking.”
The Little Demon King opened his mouth, “Is this what the Great Demon ant?”
Not knowing what to say, Anthony exclaid, “Were you two ‘born from the sa mother’?”
“What is a mother? Oh, we don’t have one. We Ancient Gods are nurtured by the Chaos Mist. In that sense, the Chaos Mist is our mother,” said the Little Demon King.
Uh, seems like jokes about ethical hang-ups don’t work on these Ancient Gods. Anthony could only say, “Go and play for now. We’ll call you if we need you. We’re going to deal with Dark Wing first, then find you.”
…
No matter how hard Dark Wing racked his brain, he never would have imagined that, even before the fight had begun, he was already alone. Though the Light of Creation was by his side, it knew nothing about fighting.
And they plunged headfirst into the trap set by Anthony, utterly unprepared.
“Both the Goddess of Starfire and the Little Devil King of Purgatory describe Dark Wing consistently: he possesses endless power while in the darkness.”
“But at the sa ti, they also said that all Ancient Gods dislike leaving the Chaos Plane because they cannot replenish their power outside of it. This contradicts their description of Dark Wing, and even they haven’t noticed this contradiction,” Anthony observed.
Negris asked in confusion, “Are you saying they lied?”
“No, no, this contradiction actually proves they didn’t lie. You can make up a logical lie, but you can’t make up an illogical one. This contradiction is the result of sothing they either didn’t think of or didn’t dare to imagine. If Dark Wing can have endless power outside the Chaos Plane, then what is the source of his power?” Anthony queried.
The others exchanged looks of bewildernt while Ange spoke up, “Darkness.”
“Darkness? The Dark Elent? The legendary dark magic? Is there really such a thing as the Dark Elent?” Negris was astonished.
There’s light, and theoretically, there should be darkness—at least that’s what knight novels say. But while there is Light Magic and even variant forms like Holy Light Magic in reality, dark magic has never existed; no wizard has ever sensed sothing like the Dark Elent. Even Spatial Magic, so abstract, exists, and even Transforming Into a Sheep, such a ridiculous spell, exists, yet there is no dark magic. Now Ange suggested that Dark Wing’s power cos from darkness?
Ange scratched his head in distress, not knowing how to explain, and could only point vaguely towards the Void, “There’s sothing there.”
Fine, if you say so, it’s so; you are the Master God. Everyone looked towards Anthony.
Anthony concluded, “Since Dark Wing’s power cos from darkness, then defeating him should be easy—just bathe him in Holy Light.”
