He just took that pen, how could it be called stealing!
"It was you who stole it, right?" Qiao Mo pursued step by step.
"I could buy the whole Jiang City, why would I steal a pen?" Fu Nancheng insisted on arguing.
Qiao Mo frowned, left speechless by his words.
That’s true... why would a big CEO, who is doing perfectly fine, be so irrational to steal her pen?
Qiao Mo scratched her head and stared at him for a long ti, still not understanding why he would steal a pencil.
Seeing her foolish look, his embarrassnt faded a bit.
He reached out to rub her head and changed the subject: "Weren’t you looking for a mirror?"
"Ah... right, looking for a mirror..."
With his reminder, Qiao Mo turned around to look for a small mirror, but when she reached the table, she forgot why she wanted to look in the mirror.
anwhile, Fu Nancheng just walked into the bathroom, intending to see if his ears were really red.
Qiao Mo then followed him in, nearly scaring him out of his wits!
"Fu Nancheng... why was I looking for the mirror earlier?" Qiao Mo scratched her head, unable to rember.
A few black lines appeared on Fu Nancheng’s forehead... He pushed her out of the bathroom: "You wanted to ask the magic mirror who is the fairest of them all."
Qiao Mo chuckled: "Nonsense! I’m not that silly!"
Fu Nancheng sighed lightly, indeed not that silly, but clearly experiencing pregnancy brain.
He wondered if it would affect the baby’s intelligence... Otherwise, he would need to redy it later and wasn’t sure if it would work!
Being distracted by these two things, Qiao Mo completely forgot about going abroad the next day.
It wasn’t until bedti that she saw the suitcase standing in the corner and suddenly sat up from the bed.
"What’s wrong?" Fu Nancheng frowned and pulled her back into his arms.
"Oh... nothing... the baby wants to hear a story." Qiao Mo looked at him and spoke softly.
Resigned, Fu Nancheng climbed out of bed, opened a storybook, and started reading fairy tales.
Qiao Mo listened, feeling sleepy but unable to fall asleep.
Every ti Fu Nancheng put down the book, Qiao Mo would open her eyes again: "The baby wants to continue listening..."
Fu Nancheng squinted his eyes, glanced at the little thing in his arms, didn’t refuse, and continued reading one story after another.
It wasn’t until close to 1:30 AM that Qiao Mo yawned incessantly, tears streaming down, that she finally stopped.
She snuggled into his arms in a different position, thinking that since it was so late, he shouldn’t wake up too early tomorrow, so she should be able to sneak away early in the morning without any issues.
...
Early the next morning.
Qiao Mo’s tightly wound nerves paid off, as she opened her eyes with a yawn just as dawn was breaking.
With a willpower that impressed even herself, she groggily crawled out of bed.
She got dressed quietly, didn’t even dare to wash up in the bedroom bathroom, and dragged her suitcase intending to go to the living room first.
As she pulled out the silver suitcase handle and moved it just an inch, she frowned tightly and quickly turned to look at the man on the bed.
Really... what if the wheels make noise?
Hesitating for a mont, Qiao Mo gritted her teeth and decided to just carry the big suitcase.
Thinking about it, it was only a few ters to the living room, and once there, she could drag it again; hopefully, the sound of the wheels wouldn’t wake him up.
Carefully inching her way to the door, she hesitated for a mont, then finally moved the suitcase next to the sofa in the living room in one go.
