That gentle cough broke the original silence and made Qiao Mo, who had been highly tense, subconsciously twitch. The spoonful of food that was about to reach her mouth ’plopped,’ falling onto the dining table, with a bit landing on the napkin she had on her lap.

’Plop,’ Qiao Mo looked a little resentfully at the man beside her.

That damn man, of all tis to cough, he had to do it just as she was about to eat... must have been intentional!

Fu Nancheng looked at her innocently, large letters written all over his face: not my fault.

Qiao Mo was quite annoyed. After all the fuss, she’d only taken a couple of bites. If she hadn’t started eating, it wouldn’t have been so bad, but now, it just made the hunger in her belly scream all the more, almost as if it was going to eat away at her stomach.

Qiao Mo angrily picked up the spoon again, scooping so more food.

But this ti, she was smarter, putting less in her spoon to prevent it from being too heavy and falling out.

Fu Nancheng just watched her intently, this ti not making a sound to disturb her.

Qiao Mo concentrated hard, her arm aching slightly, focusing all her attention on the food in the spoon, her body leaning slightly forward to make it easier to eat.

But as if fate was playing tricks on her, just as she brought it to her lips, in her excitent, the food fell again, and she didn’t get a single grain of rice in her mouth.

Qiao Mo turned to look at Fu Nancheng, her face a bit unsightly.

Fu Nancheng raised an eyebrow, this ti, he hadn’t made a sound... not a single one...

"I’m not hungry, I’m not eating anymore." Qiao Mo tossed the spoon aside, feeling utterly frustrated.

’Gurgle...’ An untily stomach growl sounded, and Qiao Mo’s face flushed a few shades darker, her previous montum fizzling out.

Really... how embarrassing!

A hint of indulgence slipped through his eyes, and he reached out to pick up her bowl and spoon again, scooping up another mouthful and bringing it to her lips.

Qiao Mo gave him a reluctant glance, hesitating.

But in the end, the battle with her uncooperative stomach was lost, and with a blush, she opened her mouth.

He was gentle with his motions, delivering a full spoonful of food into her mouth, and Qiao Mo felt blissful, almost rolling her eyes back in contentnt.

His lips curled into a slight smile as he replaced the dish and brought another mouthful to her lips.

"Mm... this one..."

"That one... I want that one..."

"Mm... delicious."

Soon, Qiao Mo switched from initial shyness to a queen-like deanor, unabashedly directing Fu Nancheng, almost swallowing the spoon itself.

After half a bowl of rice, Qiao Mo finally felt sowhat satisfied.

Really... she was starving to death...

Seeing she had eaten enough, Fu Nancheng’s pace slowed, scooping another spoonful to bring to her lips.

Qiao Mo frowned and moved back: "Too much..."

But before she could finish her sentence, the spoon was already in her mouth, filled to the brim.

"Mm... no more, it’s too full..." Qiao Mo tightly furrowed her delicate brows, struggling to swallow that mouthful completely.

Fu Nancheng put down the bowl and chopsticks, picked up a napkin to wipe her mouth, his dark eyes boldly watching her open and close her little mouth, his Adam’s apple bobbing slightly as he spoke in a husky voice: "Consider it practice for later."

"Huh?" Qiao Mo was taken aback, looking at him blankly, unable to react.

His large hand slowly lifted, pressing the index finger of his right hand heavily against her red lips, his profound gaze filled with flirtation and ambiguity; after a few seconds, he slowly said: "Your mouth... is too small."

"Huh?" Qiao Mo still hadn’t reacted, but eting his profound gaze, her small face inexplicably heated up a few degrees.
