For the next stretch of ti, Jaden stayed with Ogami Sakura.

He taught her Deflection.

And he helped her correct the flaws in her Formless.

For an ordinary teacher, this would have been extrely difficult. Deflection aside, fixing the flaws in Formless alone was sothing most martial artists simply couldn't do.

But Jaden could.

With his Hanma Blood already strengthened to the maximum level, he quickly grasped the true core of Formless. Then, through simulated combat, he forced the issue.

If Ogami Sakura failed to gradually correct the flaws in her Formless, she would be completely suppressed.

There was no room to breathe.

Under this constant pressure, Ogami Sakura's talent was ignited-layer by layer.

She herself didn't realize it.

But Jaden did.

So he increased the pressure little by little.

Ogami Sakura never noticed. She simply followed Jaden's rhythm without hesitation.

A few days passed like this.

Her Formless and Deflection beca more and more refined.

Naturally, she began to develop a technical fighting style centered entirely around those two foundations.

As for Jaden-

He had been drawing prizes during this period.

He obtained novels such as Sword Art Online and Fate/Zero. Along with them ca a noticeable improvent in writing ability and plot construction.

-However, Jaden had no intention of writing novels himself.

To be honest, most people would already be satisfied just sitting on several volus' worth of drafts.

He had that much already.

With drafts like that, who would bother writing?

Besides, he was no longer the sa as when he first arrived in this world. Now, he saw himself as a combatant far more often.

Especially after fighting Takeshi Wakatsuki, Jaden found that being a combatant was actually quite interesting.

At least for now, he wasn't tired of it.

His focus was still firmly on combat.

If he had drafts, he would publish them.

If he had to write them himself...

He sighed internally.

Maybe later.

That aside, Jaden also won Rankyaku-Tempest Kick-one of the Navy's Six Styles.

He had already figured out Rankyaku on his own before, but after integrating the authentic technique, he gained a deeper understanding of its application.

At the sa ti, his legs were strengthened once again.

Leg strength was naturally greater than arm strength.

And Jaden's legs had already been enhanced multiple tis since obtaining Rokushiki.

At this point, his leg power far surpassed his arm power.

Without question, his legs were now his most dangerous weapon.

But he rarely used them during sparring.

To outsiders, Jaden's fists were still the most threatening part of him.

Ogami Sakura thought the sa.

She looked at Jaden's outstretched hand.

In the next instant, she closed the distance at an awkward angle, slipping in sharply, her hand reaching toward Jaden's chin.

But just as she was about to push upward-

Her hand passed through him.

As if touching an illusion.

Paper Arts.

If Jaden beca serious, it would be extrely difficult for Ogami Sakura to land a hit on him.

However-

When Jaden flicked her forehead lightly with his finger, he felt sothing strange.

The force didn't transfer cleanly.

Instead, it was subtly dispersed.

Nullified.

As if he had flicked a feather.

Deflection.

Ogami Sakura imdiately seized the opening and launched another attack.

But once again, Jaden avoided it with Paper Arts, exactly as before.

"Master Jaden," Ogami Sakura said calmly, "if we continue like this, even a whole day might not be enough."

Jaden raised an eyebrow.

She really had grasped Formless and Deflection thoroughly.

Her talent was undeniable.

But-

"Are you perhaps... placing too much confidence in Deflection?"

As he spoke, Jaden's left hand reached toward her head.

Ogami Sakura, still in her Formless state, softened instantly. Like flowing sli, she twisted to the left, slipping past his hand.

At the sa ti, her counterattack surged toward Jaden's chin.

Yet in that instant-

She sensed sothing wrong.

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw it.

Jaden's left hand.

Between his fingers-

A single strand of her hair.

This-

Before she could react, Jaden tugged gently.

The strand ca loose.

The sudden pull sent a brief shock through her scalp. In that instant, her Deflection failed to complete.

Pop.

Jaden's right hand flicked her forehead.

This ti, Ogami Sakura didn't fall out of Formless.

But she still retreated several steps, both hands covering her forehead as she stared at the strand of hair in Jaden's hand, stunned.

"I see..."

Her eyes lit up.

"So different techniques require different counterasures."

"As expected of Master Jaden."

"I understand now."

Seeing Jaden's thod for countering Deflection, Ogami Sakura's understanding of Formless deepened even further.

Previously, she had only incorporated various martial arts techniques into Formless.

While her accumulation was impressive for her age, compared to martial artists in their thirties or forties, her experience and situational reserves were still lacking.

She had always thought this was unavoidable.

But Jaden's action today told her otherwise.

It wasn't only techniques.

Sotis, very simple things could beco the most effective counters.

In that instant, the range of responses within her Formless expanded drastically.

She had truly grown stronger.

Jaden lowered his hands.

"Mhm."

"If you want to participate in the Kengan Annihilation Tournant now, go ahead."

"I think you're probably ready."

"And after teaching you for a few days, this is about enough."

"I'm heading back to Totsuki today."

Jaden had sparred with Ogami Sakura for an entire day.

He hadn't even broken a sweat.

For him, a full day of sparring was no different from eating, sleeping, or breathing.

"If you're going to participate, prepare properly."

"We leave tomorrow."

With that, Jaden jumped down from the ring.

As he passed Shion, he gave her a slight nod.

Then he returned to Totsuki.

Shion watched Ogami Sakura, who was seriously bowing in farewell to Jaden.

A slow smile appeared on her face.

"I already signed you up."

"If you're going, don't get so excited tonight that you can't sleep like a child."

Given Ogami Sakura's age, the reminder was necessary.

Ogami Sakura turned back, eyes bright, and nodded eagerly.

"Yes!"

"I understand."
