The bald man caught sight of Yu Xin next to Li Chen, his eyes beaming with a smile.
He'd been with countless won, but scarcely had he seen one as youthful and beautiful as her.

The threatening tone was thick in his speech.
His gaze fell on Yu Xin's face again, lust now poorly concealed in his eyes.

Li Chen let out a disdainful laugh.
All of a sudden, he moved, kicking hard at the bald man's stomach. With the imnse force, he sent the bald man flying.
Then, grabbing Yu Xin's hand, he said firmly, "Run!"
Facing twenty or thirty n, with Yu Xin by his side, Li Chen couldn't afford to be reckless.
Grasping Li Chen's hand, they ran onto the grass beside them, crossed the grassland, and reached the main road.

The sky had darkened, lit only by the dim streetlights.
Not far away, shadows of people walking and chatting could be made out.
Noticing the commotion, they all steered clear, not daring to co closer to spectate.
Li Chen was practically carrying Yu Xin, fending off blows while making their escape.
More and more people joined the pursuit.
Even with excellent fighting skills, and burdened by carrying Yu Xin while outnumbered, his arms and back suffered several hits from sticks, causing him to grimace in pain.
"Li Chen, you..."
Yu Xin's voice trembled, on the verge of tears.
"It's okay!"
Li Chen took a deep breath, knocked down another pursuer, and continued running forward, nearly out of the grassy area.
Beep beep beep!
Just then, police sirens wailed in the distance.
Li Chen's face lit up with joy—it must have been soone calling the cops. Reaching the main road, he saw a police car stopping not far away.
Glancing back, the thugs had already scattered like rats.
"What's the matter?"
Uncle with the Hat ca up to ask.
Yu Xin, clearly terrified, quickly recounted the incident's cause and effect.
"Co back with us for a bit, make a statent. We'll have soone investigate," said the officer.
Li Chen was in no mood to go to the Public Security Association and give a statent.
Taking out his phone, he called Chen Yaohui and briefly explained the situation. He then handed the phone to Uncle with the Hat standing beside him.
After that, he left with Yu Xin.
"Li Chen, are you okay?"

Seeing the pain on Li Chen's face, Yu Xin felt incredibly guilty. Rembering how he had taken all the injuries to protect her, her tears began to fall like rain.
He was so skilled. If he had been alone, he wouldn't have gotten hurt, right?
All these injuries, he took them on for her.
Won are emotional creatures.
Especially when that emotional side is sparked, the more she thought about it, the more heartbroken she felt, the more she blad herself.
"How could I, a grown man, allow a woman to be bullied right in front of ?"
Li Chen's arm was sore from her gripping, and he grimaced, yet still managed a forced grin, "Besides, they mistook you for my girlfriend. If I had run off and left my girlfriend behind, would I still be a man?"

Li Chen's joke made Yu Xin burst into laughter through her tears.
She suddenly pushed him hard, toppling him onto the couch.
"Hiss!"
Li Chen winced in pain.
Trying to get up, his arm throbbed hotly, powerless.
"Ah! Sorry, I didn't an it!"
Yu Xin quickly got up, about to pull on Li Chen's arm, then retracted her hand.
Then, biting her lip, her beautiful face flushed red as she walked over, wrapped her arms around Li Chen's waist, and helped him up.
A refreshing fragrance enveloped him.
Up close, looking at her tempting red lips and her slender, fair neck, Li Chen felt his mouth go dry and his tongue crave.
Inside him, a fire blazed fiercely.
