Evelyn Clayton paused her steps and smiled, "What’s up?"

"I heard people saying you’re with Director Sinclair, that you’ve been secretly seeing each other, and today at the shareholder eting, you’re going to make it public?"

The designer in front of Evelyn used to be personally ntored by her and was quite close with Ah May, so she dared to say anything in front of Evelyn.

The rest were more cautious. When they saw Evelyn coming, they quickly scattered back to their desks, afraid she might hear the gossip they had just been spreading.

Evelyn obviously didn’t intend to cause trouble.

In a company setting like this, where everyone gets along quite well as colleagues, occasionally chatting about harmless gossip is pretty normal.

So Evelyn smiled and replied to the designer, "The shareholder eting is to announce sothing, but not this. Because I’m not actually with Director Sinclair."

The designer looked stunned, "Huh? Then what is it?"

"Director Sinclair and I share the sa last na, what do you think?"

With a mysterious smile, Evelyn was about to leave when she saw Winnie Wyatt just erging from the elevator.

She was holding a laptop bag in her right hand and a phone in her left, examining sothing with a not-so-pleasant expression. When she looked up and saw Evelyn, her expression grew even more stiff.

Winnie stopped in front of Evelyn, her smile a bit peculiar.

"Oh, Director Sinclair, what brings you here?"

She glanced at the designer standing next to Evelyn and spoke with a slightly cold tone, "It’s already nine-thirty, why aren’t you back at your workstation, what are you doing here?"

The real designers at Laprite, like Vivian, often earn salaries that rival the directors, and they are naturally not really controlled by so-called higher-ups.

So after hearing what Winnie said, the designer snorted lightly and said, "Of course, I’ll go back to my workstation, otherwise, with such a strong air of resentnt here, I might get overwheld."

Saying this, the designer made a fitting gesture of fanning the air, making Winnie’s face even darker.

Evelyn just watched and didn’t intend to stop it.

After all, it’s Winnie who is the direct manager at Laprite now, and it’s not Evelyn’s place to intervene.

After teasing enough, the designer greeted Evelyn and leisurely turned back to her work.

Winnie beca quite angry, but she couldn’t really do anything about the designer, so she looked at Evelyn with a bit of resentnt.

But she couldn’t straightforwardly say anything, so she grabbed at sothing else to complain about.

Winnie said unhappily, "Shannon, Laprite is no longer your turf. What are you doing here?"

Evelyn found it amusing inwardly and put on a courteous smile, "I just took a wrong turn, don’t be so tense. Even if Director Sinclair asked to co back to Laprite as a director, I would still decline, so you don’t have to worry."

Having said that, Evelyn turned to press the elevator button. Through the reflection of the elevator’s mirror, she could see Winnie’s frustrated face, and Evelyn pretended not to notice.

The elevator hadn’t arrived yet, when Evelyn suddenly rembered sothing and smiled back at Winnie, "By the way, you must attend the shareholder eting later, given your position. Don’t forget."

As her words fell, the elevator dinged and arrived. Evelyn got on the elevator, waving cheerfully at Winnie.

As she reached the nineteenth floor, Evelyn had just entered the office area when Ah May hurriedly caught up.

Seeing Ah May’s eager eyes, Evelyn felt both amused and exasperated.
