Evelyn Clayton’s gaze softened slightly as she looked at Jas Grant for a mont and said, "Is there anything else?"
Jas Grant was montarily stunned, then shook his head sowhat absentmindedly, "No, that’s all."
Evelyn Clayton nodded and turned to leave.
After taking two steps, Evelyn halted and turned back to look at Jas Grant.
Jas Grant still stood where he was, looking at her from afar.
Seeing Evelyn turn her head back, Jas Grant seed a bit nervous and instinctively considered leaving.
Evelyn imdiately spoke, "Take good care of your health, and cut down on the drinking."
After saying that, Evelyn turned and left with large strides.
Jas Grant stood there, speechless for a long ti.
After an unknown amount of ti, Jas Grant hesitantly touched his own chest.
The beating there was intense, almost deafening.
Jas Grant let out a bitter laugh.
It was rely a polite remark, yet he felt so moved.
Truly, beyond saving.
Turning and getting into the car, Jas Grant called Quentin Hale.
"How is it on your end?"
Quentin Hale’s voice was sowhat heavy, "Director Grant, I’ve found Principal Shaw’s family’s address. His wife and children are still in Aethelburg, yet to leave. Should we go take a look?"
Jas Grant thought for a mont, then said, "Send the address, I’ll go personally."
Soon, Quentin Hale sent the address to Jas Grant’s phone.
Jas Grant checked the address and told the driver, who quickly headed in the opposite direction.
However, Jas Grant didn’t notice that after he left, a motorcycle appeared at the corner of the street from which his car departed.
The figure on the motorcycle was petite, wearing a helt that concealed their appearance, dressed in a leather trench coat with the hem slightly torn, revealing a hint of a pale pink skirt.
The person on the motorcycle watched Jas Grant’s car in the yard, then turned to seemingly look in the direction of the hospital, and a mont later drove the motorcycle in the direction Jas Grant left.
On the other side, following the address Quentin Hale gave, Jas Grant arrived at a villa in the suburbs.
This villa area didn’t have particularly stringent security; at the entrance, seeing the valuable vehicle Jas Grant arrived in, they politely asked a few questions.
Jas Grant easily bluffed his way through.
The security quickly let him through, and the driver drove to the villa where Principal Shaw’s wife was.
Just as Jas Grant was about to get out, Quentin Hale called again.
"Director Grant, I’ve found out. The villa where Principal Shaw’s wife is belongs to her family. As it seems now, Principal Shaw’s wife doesn’t seem to know about his disappearance, she’s just visiting her parents with the child."
Jas Grant frowned, then suddenly understood.
The person disappeared this morning and if it weren’t for him having Quentin Hale keep an eye on the person, no one would have noticed Principal Shaw’s disappearance without a trace.
To Principal Shaw’s wife, she might think her husband just went out to handle so matters.
However, it’s already quite late now, doesn’t Principal Shaw’s wife find it strange?
After pondering for a while, Jas Grant instructed the driver, "Go knock on the door."
The driver responded and got out, going to ring the villa’s doorbell.
Soon, a middle-aged maid ca over and opened the small door.
"Who is it?" the maid curiously peered out.
Jas Grant then got out of the car.
He walked forward slowly, exuding an air of noble aloofness, making the maid curious but too cautious to be negligent.
"Sir, are you... looking for our lady?" the maid asked cautiously.
Jas Grant nodded, "I’m a friend of Principal Shaw. There’s an urgent matter I need to ask about, but I can’t contact him directly. I heard Mrs. Shaw returned to her family, so I ca to visit. I wonder if it’s convenient?"
