Almost instinctively, Evelyn Clayton walked to the office window and looked down.

She was on the nineteenth floor, and from this height, everything downstairs looked as tiny as ants.

Quickly, Evelyn ca back to her senses.

Her reaction was quite exaggerated.

Realizing that this mysterious person had disturbed her peace of mind, Evelyn felt a bit uneasy.

She turned off her phone and hurriedly left the company.

Once she got into the car, Evelyn’s gaze involuntarily drifted outside.

For a mont, Evelyn felt that everyone in sight seed extrely suspicious.

She watched for a while and then closed her eyes, taking a deep breath.

She replied to Xiao Lin to continue the investigation, then drove first to the hospital.

As she arrived at the entrance of the inpatient departnt and was about to go in, Evelyn received a call from Xiao Lin.

On the other end, Xiao Lin’s tone was not as excited as in the chat box but rather cautious and heavy.

"Evelyn, do you think you might be being followed?"

Evelyn had ntally prepared for this, so she wasn’t surprised to hear it.

She looked around warily and lowered her voice, "What do you an?"

"Here’s the thing, I checked the source code of this phone number address and found that what appears to be an empty number is actually using a self-developed beta software to shield the IP address and the original digits of the phone number. So, the string of numbers you saw when you received the call was fake."

Evelyn realized, "Is it similar to the hidden real number feature on so delivery platforms now?"

Xiao Lin responded, "Yes, almost. Although I’m not very familiar with the operation of these software dials dostically, I’ve done so research. Regarding the owner of the number you asked to check, the hidden real number software he’s using isn’t available dostically, and even internationally, it’s rarely used."

Evelyn exhaled deeply, "So it’s difficult to trace?"

"No, at least I found that the IP is very close to you. It’s initially determined that he must have used a VPN, otherwise, I wouldn’t have found the loophole. But the signal is very unstable, and I’ve roughly calculated that the location I see is sowhat different from his real location."

After pondering for a long ti, Evelyn asked, "Is there any way I can install location software myself to monitor that number’s IP address in real-ti?"

Xiao Lin paused for a mont and said, "Evelyn, why don’t you wait a bit? I’ll co find you later and install the location software on your phone, how about that?"

Evelyn looked at the entrance of the inpatient departnt, hesitated for a mont, and agreed, "Alright, I’ll send you the address."

After hanging up, Evelyn sent Xiao Lin the address and went upstairs to visit Iris Lockwood.

Iris would soon be discharged from the hospital, and her injury was not a big deal anymore.

Evelyn originally wanted Yara Reagan and Iris Lockwood to stay at the Sinclair Family, but Yara refused.

"I discussed it with Iris. I’ll send her temporarily back to Riversend, it’s her own place there, much safer. I’ll handle matters with Gem first, then find ti to co here and accompany you."

Upon hearing this, Evelyn was caught off guard.

She felt a tinge of indescribable reluctance.

She rarely t with Yara and Iris, and now they were leaving early, which naturally made her feel uneasy.

But Evelyn also knew she couldn’t let Iris stay here any longer.

Especially after today’s phone call...

There’s no guarantee that nothing else will happen afterward.
